Kind of a fun fact, more of a production thing. Originally when we were in the planning phases for episode 5, when MPC lost his cartridge there was a plan to have DS Card pilot MPC's body in his place! (It's even referenced in the episode as an idea) A fun concept that we ended up scrapping in the writing stage for other ideas, a little bummed we never got to use it but I'm still very happy with how the episode turned out regardless. :)

Vignan’s Deemed To Be University Admission 2020 Eligibility & Process: UG, PG, Ph.D.

Vignan’s Deemed to be University is one of the best education institutions present in India. So, if you wish to get admission in this reputed institution then make sure to follow the guidelines mentioned below:

B. Tech And B. PharmEligibility For Appearing V-SAT (For Admission Into B. Tech / B. Pharm)

Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1999 and a pass in Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States are eligible to appear for the admission test. The minimum eligibility for the students of North, North East and other states is 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Admission Into B.Tech. / B. Pharm programmes will be through Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test, V-SAT an on-line test conducted by Vignan’s Deemed to be University on all India bases.

Candidates qualified in V-SAT / AP or TS EAMCET / JEE(Mains) / JEE(Advanced) with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States in the +2 / Intermediate examination and 50% aggregate marks in North, North East and other states of India.

Category A:

Admission based on performance in V-SAT/EAMCET/JEE (Mains)-2020 with minimum CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States in the +2 / Intermediate examination and 50% aggregate marks in the remaining states of India.

Category B:

Open for candidates who have at least CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States in the +2 / Intermediate examination and 50% aggregate marks in the remaining states of India.

B. Tech Lateral Entry

Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1998 and a pass in Diploma or its equivalent with minimum of 60 % aggregate marks are eligible to appear for the admission test/ECET conducted by Govt.of A.P

Admission into B. Tech Lateral Entry Programmes will be through VUCET on-line test, conducted by Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University) or qualify in E-CET.

BBA/BCA

Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1999 and a pass in intermediate or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 6.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 55% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South India States and 50% aggregate marks in all other states in the +2 / Intermediate examination are eligible to appear for the admission test (V-JET).

Admission into BBA / BCA programmes will be through Vignan’s Joint Entrance Test, V-JET, an on line test, conducted by Vignan’s University.

Category A:

Admission based on performance in V-JET (Vignan’s Joint Entrance Test) with minimum CGPA of 6.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 55% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States and 50% aggregate marks in all other states in the +2 / Intermediate examination.

Category B:

A pass in the qualified examination with minimum CGPA of 6.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 55% aggregate marks in Telangana and other South Indian States and 50% aggregate marks in all other states in the +2 / Intermediate examination

B. Sc

Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1999 and a pass in intermediate with MPC/MEC group or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana in the +2 / Intermediate examination.

2. Admission Process And Eligibility For PG Programs

M. TechCategory A:

Qualified in GATE/PGECET/VUGATE with 50% aggregate marks in qualifying examination. GATE Qualified students in addition to 100% scholarship will get appropriate monthly remuneration. M. Tech students will have the opportunity to work as Teaching Assistant and can earn through teaching.

Category B:

A pass in the qualified examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

MBACategory A:

55% in any Bachelor’s Degree and qualified in ICET /MAT.

Score above 500 / Min. 70 percentile in CAT (OR) 60% in B. Tech/B. Pharmacy.

Written Test will be conducted for Bachelor’s Degree holders who have not appeared in any entrance test.

Syllabus for the written test will be same as I-CET

Qualified in Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Category B:

Minimum 50% aggregate marks in any Bachelor’s Degree.

MCACategory A:

Qualified in ICET with 50% aggregate marks in qualifying exam.

Category B:

A pass in the qualified examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

MA. English

Any Bachelor's Degree (B. A / B. Com / B. Sc / BBM / LLB / B. Pharm / B. Tech) from any UGC recognized University / College with English as major/minor Subject with a minimum of 60% marks.

60% marks in Intermediate and SSC/10th or other equivalent Programmes.

Those who are due to appear in qualifying degree examination can also apply

M.Sc. Chemistry

Admission into M.Sc. Chemistry - 60% aggregate marks (above 6.5 CGPA) in any B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects and qualified in written test and Interview conducted by the University.

Note: In all other courses, candidates will get admission based on merit. Make sure to submit valid documents. Online forms are available.

Admission For The Ph. DEligibility Criteria For Admissions Into Full Time & Part Time Ph. D_Reg.

The eligibility criteria for admission of Full Time & Part-Time research scholars are as follows:

Ph. D admission in Engineering / Science Streams: First class both in UG and PG for full time scholars and in Humanities second class at UG level may be considered. – with fellowship.

For Part-time scholars - as per UGC rules and subject to written test and interview conducted by VFSTR (we usually select candidates who are having first class in PG).

For part-time research scholars in Science and Humanities streams minimum second class in UG and 1st class in PG only will be considered.

The qualification required as per UGC rules for Ph .D Admission is minimum 55% in post graduate relaxable 5% to SC / ST and OBC candidates.

UGC prescribes only minimum eligibility / standard required to admit into Ph. D Programmes. However, subject to demand and response for any specific progamme(s), VFSTR can set higher benchmark while selecting the candidates.
