The inanimate insanity fandom doesn’t really take time to think about how many “will you make [insert ship here] canon?” Questions they ask the ii team, especially in livestreams

Like specifically nickloon, fantube, silver candle, and lightbrush (and I’ve seen a lot but not as much tacomic)

Like they’re good ships, but also leave these people alone dear god

you can tell in the livestreams how tired they are of hearing the same things over and over and like honestly real

I love ship art / animatics / content in general, but sometimes a fandom can focus on two characters and NOT make it all about the fact that they ship them

The way the hfjONE fandom treats airy is genuinely insane.

Like on one end of the spectrum people think “oh he’s a soft sweet little bean!! He can do nothing wrong!!” and make him out to be some kind of child or UwU guy (and the people who believe the latter usually just sexualize him which is incredibly gross to me)

But on the OTHER end people make him out to be the devil himself and think “Look at what he did to everyone he deserved to die I hate airy!!!!” Like……..

Can we take a second and THINK about what Airy’s gone through for a half second. His actions aren’t deliberately from a place of malice or intent to harm any of the others.

But also, his backstory doesn’t excuse what he did, and should be treated as some sort of antagonist (or at least a morally grey character) by the fandom, because what he did isn’t right, regardless of his intentions.

TLDR; Airy isn’t a “UwU smol bean” and he isn’t a heartless monster. Can the fandom take a second to have some actual media literacy (although his backstory and intentions are literally outright said in the show, you don’t have to go looking for it) and consider that he’s a MORALLY GREY character / antagonist (depending on the perspective of the different characters)
