FAQ

Do you take requests?

Yes! Happily! Almost 200 of them so far and counting! I have some prompt lists in my masterlist but you don’t have to go off of those alone. I accept other ideas as well whether it be song related, a daydream you really wanna read, etc.

Do you write smut?

Yes! There are some things I don’t feel comfortable writing. For example, teacher/student or other power imbalance pieces aren’t my jam. I will write BDSM or basic Dom/Sub dynamics though! I also write for w/w, m/m, and w/m (or, in a more gender inclusive way of talking, I will put any body and gender identity with any other body and gender identity with equal enthusiasm). Please know that if you’re worried about a kink or an idea being judged that 1. I am not judging you. Even if a thing is totally not my cup of tea, I do not judge it being yours. Also 2. I have anonymous on for a reason so if you’re really worried please know you can always use that and then no one shall know your secrets you dirty, filthy beastie

What’s the deal with Valdo Marx?

One day someone on this beautiful internet made a post stating that Robert Sheehan would be the perfect Valdo and they spoke a powerful truth that day. I’ve long held the opinion that Valdo Marx is probably not a raging asshole as Jaskier describes but instead probably just a bit of a cocky guy with a fierce rivalry because bards are #dramatic and now (in great thanks to @heroics-and-heartbreak for their tireless Valdo Marx Support work) he’s become a regular character featured in our fics.

Joz is my writing partner! This means that they hold my hand through the computer as I cry about my trash fingers making garbage fiction (we all have those days guys) and they also write things with me and help me come up with ideas! They are currently collaborating with me on our Punk!AU and are an a talented writer and artist as well! Check out their work here!

What’s this Punk!AU I keep hearing about? What’s Vicious Mockery?

A lovely reader wrote in and asked me to write a fic featuring a Punk!AU Jaskier. I wrote it up, setting him, Geralt, and Yen in a band called Vicious Mockery, and the rest is history. And by history I mean Joz and I are both of an age (lol) where we grew up with some good ass punk music and are very much about that #aesthetic and they drew the gang and we now have a whole canon for it featuring Reader as a fan who got to tour with them and fell in love with Jaskier and OCs who’ve become very close to our hearts (Aevryn Swift and Sam Pankratz especially though Nic Merigold is worming his way into our hearts more and more each day - but more on him in the future~~~)

What happens if you get a prompt you won’t/can’t write?

I have declined prompts before. For some it’s because of personal reasons related to trigger, for others it’s because I just don’t feel that I’m the right voice for that piece. In the case that this happens, if the prompt requester is anonymous (and so far that’s always been the case I believe), I reply with a succinct explanation along with thanks for the ask and an offer to have them submit something else. I also invite other authors in the fandom to adopt a prompt, which has worked in the past! If someone were to write me off of anonymous I would privately reply to them. I never want anyone to feel shamed or discouraged from reaching out and this is the way I make sure I am taking care of myself as well as my readers

a/n: I’ve actually had this little prompt written like forever, but forgot to type it up.  Oops.  Prompt: “Lipstick’s a good look on you.” Word Count: 513

“Valdo,” Aev hissed as he pulled her further back stage.  “What’re you doing?” she asked, though her voice was tinged with laughter as he pulled her into his arms, his hands wandering shamelessly.

“What, am I not allowed t’have a little alone time with my very lovely girlfriend before I go on stage?” Valdo asked haughtily, his lips finding her neck before she could answer, a soft moan leaving her mouth rather than the clever comeback she had ready on her tongue.

“Oh, what was that darlin’?  I don’t think I heard you,” Valdo teased, biting down on her skin til Aev cried out louder, the sound luckily masked by the cheers of the fans and the sounds of the opening band.

“You arse,” Aevryn huffed, rather breathlessly, affection in her tone.

“C’mon, don’t try to tell me you don’t want me, even a little bit, cause I’m not buyin’ it, my muse.”

“Alright, alright,” Aev laughed, giggling harder as Valdo pinched her ass, making her jump before she pressed herself closer to him.  “Yes, I want you, y’cheeky bastard,” she relented, pulling him forward by his gaudy jacket til his lips collided with her and his arms tightened around her waist.

Deepening the kiss, Aevryn slipped her tongue playfully into Valdo’s mouth, enjoying the way his breath hitched before he was snogging her back just as eagerly.

“Careful babe,” Aev cooed, kissing her way down his neck, “don’t wanna get too excited before you go on stage.

“Well, I thought you might take care of that for me, love,” Valdo admitted, groaning as Aev’s hand glided over the front of his tight leather pants.

Cocking an eyebrow, she looked up at him.  “How about we take care of that after your set,” she replied, her lips twisting with amusement.

“So cold,” Valdo whined petulantly before noticing her expression.  “What?” he asked, his lips twitching into a confused frown.

“Lipstick’s a good look on you, V,” Aev said with a wink as she ran her fingers over his lips, smeared dark red with the lipstick she’d put on earlier, several more dark lip prints littering his neck.

“What?” Valdo exclaimed, rubbing his fingers over his lips, merely smearing it worse.  “Oh shit, I didn’t think of that,” he muttered as Aev laughed.

“Hey, don’t blame me,” she countered.  “You were the one who wanted to get frisky before the show,” she pointed out.

“You do have a point, songbird,” he huffed.  “No regrets though.  D’you think it’ll be noticeable on stage?” he asked, already guessing from Aev’s expression that the answer would be yes.

“C’mon, I can help you clean up,” she offered, rising up on her toes to press one more kiss to his lips before pulling him back to the band’s dressing room.

“But I’m gunna leave a couple of these marks on your neck though, just t’let your fangirls know you’re mine.”

“No complaints here, darling,” Valdo replied with a shrug, following her eagerly, his thoughts already on what was to come after the show.

Win Lewis - No lol. Win is stubborn to the bone. She definitely one to try to do everything herself only admitting she needs help when it’s almost too late.

💡 - How does your OC enact plans? Do they plan down to the smallest details, or do the wing it?

Win Hargreeves - Similar to Misfits Win, TUA Win is rather impulsive. She will come up with a loose plan to begin with, changing and adapting it as she goes depending on what obstacles get in her way. She’s seen too many carefully laid out plans go wrong to know better than that.

🍺 - What kind of drunk are they? (e.g. talkative, sleepy, flirty etc.)

Aev - Aev is a very happy, friendly drunk. She will talk your ear off and laugh boisterously at anything remotely funny. However she easily tires and will probably fall asleep wherever she may be before the night is over.

“Hey V, can you help me for a sec?” Aevryn called from the bathroom as she reached for the mascara.

“Of course, darling!” Valdo exclaimed cheerfully as he breezed through the door, straightening his cufflinks. When he finally looked up, his gaze catching Aev’s in the mirror he faltered, a slow grin crossing his face. “Well, well, dove, aren’t you a vision?” he murmured, stepping up behind her, her dress still open as she finished up her makeup.

“Can you give me a hand?” she asked, straightening, glancing back over her shoulder at her husband and Valdo’s grin only grew.

“And cover up this lovely expanse of skin?” he mused, slowly running his finger down her spine, sending a shiver racing through her. “Why, that’s practically criminal.”

“Valdo,” she huffed, her breath catching as he stepped closer, leaning in to press his lips to the base of her neck. “We’re gunna be late,” she protested weakly and he grinned against her skin.

“Oh, alright sweetling, I suppose there will be ample time for me to undress you later,” he sighed, grasping the tiny zipper and pulling it up.

“Thank you,” Aev quipped with a grin, checking over her reflection once more and adjusting her dress.

“Is that how you’re wearing your hair?” Valdo asked suddenly and Aevryn turned to him, her lips twisting slightly.

“Well, yeah… does it look bad?” she asked hesitantly, glancing back at the mirror.

“No!” Valdo yelped, panicking slightly at her reaction, silently kicking himself. “No, of course not, my muse! You look lovely no matter what,” he quickly amended. “I just think it’s a shame to hide your lovely neck in that dress.”

Tilting her head, Aev considered his words and he lifted her unwieldy waves, twisting them up off her neck so she could see.

“See what I mean, pearl of my heart?” Valdo murmured, lifting an eyebrow.

“Alright, alright, you may have a point,” Aevryn agreed, letting Valdo pin her hair in place. “How is it you’re better at doing my hair than I am?” she murmured, turning back to him and reaching up to run her fingers through his long dark curls, fixing them just right.

“It helps that I don’t have to do much, because no matter what you’re always beautiful,” he murmured in response.

“How do you always know just what to say to make me fall for you even more, Valdo Swift-Marx?” Aev mused, moving closer, Valdo’s arms circling her waist.

“I’m just good like that,” he teased, grinning as she raised up on her toes to press her lips to his, smiling against him before squealing delightedly as he deepened the kiss.

Aev - Aev’s definitely not as adventurous as Winnie lol.  If we’re talking punk!au the weirdest place she’s had sex was in Valdo’s tour bus.  If we’re talking about Bad Samaritan au, it would be in the art gallery after hours.

Aev - Once she got a fit of giggles during and couldn’t stop laughing, luckily her partner only joined in, finding the whole thing adorable, but for a split second she was afraid he’d thought she was laughing at him.

Win - When one of her partners was trying to give her a pearl necklace and aimed a little too high, getting his jizz in her eye instead.  ooof  Needless to say he didn’t get a second date.

Random OC Question Time! If your OCs had super powers what would they be?

Aww thank you for the question! Actually, Win has super powers in at least three of my au’s.  In my Bad Kids Misfits au she has the ability to leech off of or borrow other people’s powers for as long as she’s in physical contact with them (though eventually she becomes strong enough to draw on them even when not touching the person directly).

In my TUA au she has pyrokenisis.  (because I’ve always had a thing for Liz Sherman)

In mine & Mel’s Dog Eared Page Misfits/Cherrybomb au (I don’t wanna give away all her powers yet since we haven’t shown all of them yet) but I can say it’s something related to her emotions. I think if Aev had super powers I could see it being something music related, or maybe she could control soundwaves maybe?

As much as Aev loved him, sometimes Valdo just would not shut up and the more popular Feather Fall became, the worse it got. If she had to hear him boast about how much better he was than their old school mate, Jaskier or his band one more time, she felt she was gunna lose it.

“V,” she murmured, clearing her throat to get his attention as she slipped her hand atop his, cutting him off as he turned away from the other band members to face her, sitting at the table next to him.

“Yes, darling, what is it?”

“I can’t help but notice it’s getting rather late,” Aev said pointedly, raising her eyebrows at him.

“Oh?” he asked, frowning for the moment until he realized what that was code for. “Oh!” he exclaimed, a roguish grin flashing across his handsome face.

“Yes, I believe you’re right, love. Looks like we’re gunna turn in for the night, fellas,” Valdo exclaimed, knocking on the table twice before rising and taking Aev’s hand again. “See you lot in the morning. Remember not to oversleep, I want to actually be on time to the next venue.”

The other members of Feather Fall groaned, rolling their eyes, but they bade Valdo and Aevryn goodnight, knowing all too well why the couple was turning in so early.

As soon as they were in their room, Valdo’s lips were on Aev’s and she pulled him closer, gasping as her back connected with the wall, barely past the door. “So this is why you were in such a hurry to get us back to the room, huh?” he asked between each eager kiss.

“Mhmm, and you took the hint so well,” Aev murmured, pushing his leather jacket off his shoulders.

She wasn’t about to tell him the other reason she wanted to get him back to the room was to shut him up. That cocky attitude he’d been harboring lately was bound to get him in trouble one of these times and she knew she was gunna have to be the one to bail him out. She heard what the other band members said about him behind his back, after all.

“Y’know the best thing about having a rich as fuck dad?” Valdo mused, pulling back to shed his shirt and Aev’s, “the accommodations are so choice,” he said with a smug grin that Aev had to roll her eyes at.

He did have a point, but she wasn’t about to tell him that and inflate his ego further.

“Yeah, but doesn’t that kinda take the adventure out of being in an indie band?” she asked meaningfully, sighing as his mouth found her exposed breast as he walked her toward the suite’s large jacuzzi tub, fumbling with the faucet to let the water get hot as Aev thread her fingers in his thick curls.

For all Valdo’s rock star arrogance, Feather Fall had only been a band for a couple months now. They just barely had a set list. If it hadn’t been for V’s dad’s, and Aev’s for that matter’s, connections, none of this would have been possible.

“And sleep in a cramped smelly van while going hungry? No, thank you,” Valdo exclaimed disdainfully, leaving a rather sharp love bite on the slope of her breast before straightening to capture her mouth as she undid his pants, their tongues dancing heatedly. “I’d much prefer to live the decadent life of a rock star without having to have slummed it first,” he mused, finishing undressing and checking the tub.

“Ah, perfection,” he sighed as he stepped in, sinking into the bubbling water and reaching impatiently for his girlfriend. Rolling her eyes, Aev shed her jeans, stepping out of them as she let him help her in.

“Ah ah ah,” he cried, holding her in place before she could sit, his gaze sweeping over her hungrily. “I want to admire you a moment, songbird, revel in your beauty, and the fact that you’re all mine.”

“Valdo,” Aev huffed, but her lips twitched slightly as her cheeks flushed, swaying her hips for him teasingly before he pulled her down into his lap.

Straddling him, she caught his gaze, her flush deepening as he smirked at her. “What? I’m not allowed to adore my lovely girlfriend?” he murmured cheekily, slipping his arms around her waist to cage her in as he leaned forward to press his lips to her collarbone. “I’m probably the luckiest man in all of Britain.”

“V…” she groaned, flushing hotter, arching into him.

“Heap compliments on her until she actually believes them,” he murmured as his lips traveled up her throat. “You gotta be more like me, dove—”

“Full of myself?” she teased, her words melting into a moan.

Valdo chuckled, squeezing her tighter to him. “Exactly, babe. You’re a stone cold fox and you should own it. I mean, you’re dating a rockstar after all, my love, not some low level garage band wannabe—”

“Oh, right, how could I forget?” Aev muttered, tangling a hand in Valdo’s hair and giving it a sharp tug, bringing a hiss to his lips as she yanked his head back so she could catch his eye, fondness and annoyance battling for dominance before she tilted her face to lavish his exposed neck in kisses, nipping her way up to his ear.

“Just shut up and fuck me already, Valdo,” she growled, sending a shudder through him that she could feel, along with the stiffening of his cock between her legs.

“Oh, gladly Aev, I thought you’d never ask,” Valdo replied cheekily, grinning up at her as if this had been his plan all along.
