End Game - Taylor Swift: Here it comes; the vibe doesn’t fit with anything of the top of my head, but some of the lyrics (only some) do! With Harper Deene x Miles Matheson. This is honestly a stretch, but I wanted to give something lol, so it’s Jula Andann x Tony Stark (from both perspectives). Sweetener - Ariana Grande: sdfghjk I’m super cherry-picking again (also, like, taking all the sexual innuendo out of this because this is a teen ship and I’m saying a hard no there). and I would love to share stuff about them! Sorry this took so long to reply to, I was really busy this weekend ^^; Thank you so much for asking, my ATLA characters are some of the ones I’ve had the longest and the ones who are nearest and dearest to my heart

The two on my OC page are the ones I know the most about so I’ll keep it to stuff about them. Let’s take this below the cut so I don’t overrun everyone’s dashboards lol

First we have Amaya.

I’ve had this OC since I was in eighth grade and her story has definitely come a long way since initial conception. Hers is also the first fic I ever wrote! The original version is very, very bad and also very, very easy to find on FFN - I ask that you don’t look, even though it’s easy, because it’s embarrassing how bad it is. (Also because I’ve changed a lot of things about her story between that publication and now, so it’s just plain inaccurate.)

Amaya was born two years before Aang and was moved to the Southern Air Temple against all tradition when they found out she was something called the Vassal - basically a caretaker of the Avatar. She was trained by a monk there named Afiko who taught her that Aang and his safety always had to come first - she herself must not even factor into it, she’d have to come last. The years before she and Aang run away are filled with - for her- training and visits to the other nations to basically be a diplomatic figure while Aang was too young to know he was the Avatar and all that.

When everything happens and Aang runs away, he says he’ll do it with or without Amaya there and she decides she needs to go with him to help him when he finally decides to go back - that obviously doesn’t happen.

She’s very serious and secretive because her training was all about how to use the four elements to her advantages - because as the Vassal she can bend them too. Unfortunately, whenever she bends something that’s not air she gets awful wounds starting from her feet. These scars keep reaching up and up and she doesn’t know what will happen when they reach her head - it’s excruciating.

Nobody but the Air Nomad elders and a few choice people in high positions in other nations ever knew Amaya could bend the other elements and she’s been taught all her life to keep it a secret. 

That’s a big driving part of the story, her trying to keep her secret while still keeping to her duty to keep Aang safe. Another big part is her learning who she is, eventually, outside of that duty.

There is a LOT of stuff that I’m not mentioning here because it comes as big twists in the story and I don’t want to spoil (like, you think something doesn’t make sense or is shoddily explained? The twist most likely takes care of that). BUT if you want to know more just use the tumblr messenger and I’ll talk your ear off about Amaya all day long ;)

The second is Bronwyn Bates

She is one of my favourite genre of OC, the OC WHO FALLS INTO A CANON WORLD. She’s 14 and just about to enter high school, it’s the summer before ninth grade for her, and she’s on summer vacation at the cottage with her family and takes her bike to go visit a friend nearby. Only she loses control and in a flash of blue light she fucking disappears leaving only her bike behind.

She ends up in the Avatar world, obviously. But she lands in the Fire Nation, on the outskirts near the set up of a travelling circus. She has a crisis, duh, but the circus takes her in and basically she makes a life for herself being a circus performer - hooping, tightrope, and trapeze. She also discovers she can firebend, so she also becomes a firbending performer.

I’m not 100% on the timeline to be honest, because of some spoiler stuff that I need to figure out later, but for this ask I’ll say she landed just before Zuko was banished, so that gives her a vague timeline of when stuff will happen.

Basically since the blue light that surrounded her was like the Avatar state blue she thinks Aang and the Spirit World can help her get home.

I don’t actually know how she meets up with the GAang yet, but it’s very early in season one. They go through the whole ‘not trusting a firebender’ thing and that’s a big bone of contention.

I also don’t know a lot of her arc in the rest of ATLA, which is my bad. But I do know she and Sokka get together in season three. 

Again, some spoilery stuff I’m not mentioning here, but the same thing applies with Bronwyn that does with Amaya - I’m always down to message. You just have to use the messenger and not the ask cos this is a sideblog and it’ll just be easier to have a dialogue on the messenger.

Im literally the worst because these have been in my inbox for so fucking long, but I kept wanting to save them and then kept forgetting (for everyone else who’s sent me an ask, that’s also totally what’s happened - i dont mean to ignore asks, I just get so excited and want to savour them that I end up putting them off forEVER)

“I’m bigger than this body” - Bronwyn Bates. When she’s dumped back into her own world after the events of ATLA, she’s so lost and just totally fucked up in every way. This quote really exemplifies how disconnected she feels from her world and herself once she’s no longer apart of this fantastic world and cause and family that was her life for so long. Her bending, especially, seems to large and fantastic for the life she now has to live.

“Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world” - Virginia Davies. She ids by far my most stylish OC. So much of her confidence in herself comes from how she presents herself to the world, especially when she’s left behind by the Doctor, so this quote fits her well. 

“Time heals all wounds” - Aster Crowe. Not so much the passive implication of the quote, but that through time she has grown and learned and through her understanding and relationship with Harry and discovering things about her own past, she can learn to heal and let go and finally stop being so angry.
