Connie Cunningham can't wait for graduation. She can't wait to get out of bumfuck Hawkins, Indiana, where the most you'll get is three bars - on a good day if you stand on top of the quarry. She wants more than stepford smiles and making casseroles for the neighbors. She wants more than her mother envisions for her.
But getting a new start may not be as easy as she had hoped. What with her sister spinning out of control and her brother letting himself get roped into a life of middle school crime. Once again, it is up to Connie to keep her family in line.
When Chrissy is killed by an escaped asylum inmate, and her boyfriend is blamed for it, Connie has to make sure to set the record straight. This isn't made easier by a group of people who barely know Eddie, constantly butting into her investigation. Her best friend, who's got one foot in the rehab clinic and the other in prison, is another thorn in her side.
When the inmate kills even more kids, she has to buckle up and accept the help of that crew of chaos. If Connie Cunningham wants to get out of Hawkins alive, with what remains intact of her family and friends safe and sound, Henry Creel will have to die.

RULES
RULE ONE/OOC INFORMATION Hi, my name is Kel, I'm over 21+ and use the pronouns she/her. Time zone is GMT.For now, my blog will run on a queue as I'm busy with some real life stuff. But sometimes, I may come online for an hour or two, depending on my mood. Blog is selective, private and mutual only. Also OC, multi fandom and multi-muse friendly too.
RULE TWO/THREADS AND REPLIES Replies can take a while to reply to, but I am not ignoring anyone. Please message if I haven't replied within a month. The best way to begin threads are through sending ask memes. I will also post open starters and maybe the occasional starter call. Not really a plotting person either; prefer to go with the flow.
RULE THREE/TRIGGERS I don't really have any triggers. That being said I will tag other people's triggers the best I can, and if I don't feel free to send a message and let me know. Don't send anon hate either. We all make mistakes and can't remember everything. Regarding shipping, I'm open to anything really. That being said, don't force any ships on any of my characters. I'll just unfollow/block if it continues to happen.
RULE FOUR/ETIQUETTE I do not tolerate any forms of hate. Racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia and any other forms of hate are not tolerated on this blog and I don't want to see any of it on the dash. It's an immediate hard block if I see anything. Respect each other, it's not that hard.
RULE FIVE/SHIPPING. Regarding shipping, I'm open to anything really. That being said, don't force any ships on any of my characters. I'll just unfollow/block if it continues to happen. I mostly ship for chemistry, but don't mind discussing ships beforehand if anyone wants to try anything out.
RULE SIX/SMUT AND MATURE THEMES Smut will not be featured on this blog. All other mature themes will be tagged accordingly and I'm pretty much open to anything except rape, incest etc.

Caspar stopped in his tracks, jokingly putting his hand over his heart as he watched Connie check her new haircut out in the mirror. “My, oh, my. Isn’t this a big change.”
Connie smiled at his reflection, running her hand through her shorter hair. “I needed it though.”
“Looks good. What brought it on?” Caspar asked, plopping down into the new armchair he had hauled up into Connie’s new fourth floor apartment with her.
Connie shrugged, sitting down on the equally thrifted couch neatly placed against the wall. “I just lost everyone but you and Curtis. I moved to the big city. Started a new life. I just felt like I needed to shrug off the past, you know?”
Caspar nodded. He couldn’t even begin to relate to the losses Connie had experienced in a matter of a week and the changes she had to make to her life in the previous year. His parents had been safe and sound with the rest of his family in Iran when Hawkins was completely destroyed.
When Connie told him she’d pack up her brother and whatever could fit into Steve’s car, and was heading to Chicago, he, as her best friend, couldn’t help but support her. He too felt he needed to get away for a while, after all. Maybe for good.
Cas had told his parents to stay in Iran for a while, just until things had calmed down enough for him to find a new place to live for them. Their house was destroyed, every personal memory inside wiped away by the earthquake the murder of Max had caused.
He looked around the apartment. “Where’s Curtis?”
“With Steve,” Connie replied matter-of-factly, shooting Caspar a puzzled look. “Don’t you remember? He took him to a baseball game to get his mind off things. His dad paid for it.”
Casper nodded. “Ah, right, forgot that for a second,” he said. He rubbed his thighs. “Maybe we should go do something. Job and apartment hunting is making me go nuts. I need a distraction.”
Connie jumped up off the couch, a big smile growing on her face. “I totally agree. You’ve been helping me so much, the least I can do is treat you to some free ice cream.”
Friends: Caspar Seyed, Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Erica Sinclair
Likes: Music, running track, spending time with Caspar, reading, all things pink, Curtis & Chrissy, cherries, classic movies
Dislikes: Jason Carver, her mom, sneaking around, keeping secrets, being tied down (metaphorically), not being clued-in on something, violence of any kind, apple sauce (there was a traumatizing incident with it in her middle school days)
Phobias: Spiders, losing control
Style: Lots of jeans and blouses or cutesy shirts, doesn’t like any kind of heeled shoe and will usually wear sneakers or ballet flats, her hair is usually worn open and is only up when she’s working hard, minimal jewlery (she only wears a necklace with angel wings, which she got from Eddie as a gag gift, but she ended up loving it just to spite him), likes nail polish
Speech: American accent - no specific region, normal cadence of voice, rarely ever gets loud, usually soft-spoken, gets that chastizing mom voice when she’s pissed off
Physical Quirks/Scars: Has a scar above her right brow from when Curtis chucked a toy truck at her head when they were little
Personality: Caring, diligent, hard worker, observant, romantic, bit of a control freak, approachable, optimistic, rebellious
Background: Born and raised in Hawkins, Indiana, Connie Cunningham has always dreamt of leaving her tiny little hometown to explore the world and soak up every opportunity she could - if only it weren’t for her controlling mother, watching everything her daughters do, what goes on their body, what they eat, who they associate with. Connie hasn’t had it easy, though you wouldn’t know it purely by looking at her. Because her sister Chrissy is so beloved by everyone, people assume the same applies to Connie. But the truth is, the younger twin can’t catch anyone’s attention, not matter how hard she tries. It isn’t until her Freshman year of High School that she makes an actual friend in fellow loner Caspar Seyed. After three years of diligently working at Ray’s Records, running track for Hawkins High, and plotting her escape after graduation, Connie is sick and tired of always being her obedient little self. She wants to break out of her shell, and she gets that opportunity when she begins tutoring Eddie Munson, leading to an exciting, yet frightening couple of months, consisting of the two of them sneaking around together. But Connie has other secrets, from the people she cherishes most. When her sister is killed and Eddie becomes prime suspect, Connie refuses to believe this. When it turns out she may go the way of Chrissy, she has to team up with people she never thought would look her way in High School, along with their tiny little accomplices.
