WELCOME TO THE BIG TIME:

Macie Smittens-Garcia isn't expecting much when she moves into The Palm Woods, and befriending the band Big Time Rush is absolutely last on her list. Suddenly, the 13 year old isn't as alone as she thought she would be in a brand new city, and she's feeling what it means to be famous - even to her own detriment.

ARISTOTLE is Macie Smittens-Garcia’s debut album. Independently released in February of 2010, when Smittens-Garcia was only 12, the album was a massive success, something that Roque Records didn’t expect considering how young she was.

With 11 songs, and 3 singles - So High School, Edge of Great and Granted FT Nini Salazar-Roberts, it catapulted Macie to a level of fame she could only dream of.

sleight of hand is Macie Smittens-Garcia’s sophmore album. Released in June of 2012, the album was her first after signing with Roque Records, and the first album where Smittens-Garcia has writing credits, which are on every song on the album but Wonderful Crazy - which had been written for her debut but was left off due to a time crunch. With 15 songs and 5 singles, the album was a formidable successor, to ARISTOTLE, and quickly became a pop punk favourite. The success of the album allowed Macie to tour with Big Time Rush on their Better with U Tour as an opening act, as well as singing her song Diana with them as a post-intermission song.

MACIE SMITTENS-GARCIA AS THE GIRL NEXT DOOR

The girl next door is used to indicate what is seen as general and 'wholesome' femininity. She is neither masculine nor overtly feminine, not promiscuous, but might be a foil to one who is, like the down town girl in Town Girls. Typically pretty in a generalised way, although since it's essentially about her personality, there are several girls of this trope that are considered beautiful in the narrative.

my first oc was an oc for the big time rush fandom @raging-violets this will be a throwback lol, named macie! she was like the first time i had the idea for an oc and actively tried to write for her. was she INCREDIBLY marysue? yes. was she also my babygirl? also yes

here’s five fun facts about her!

she’s latina (i never decided fully on what her ethnicity is, but she’s half latina and speaks semi fluent spanish)

of the btr boys, she’d be closest to kendall and carlos. kendall bc he sees her as a mini katie and would take her under his wing as a lil sister, and carlos bc they would bond over being latino in the music industry and also i think she’s look up to him (both literally and figuratively)

her relationship with her mom is…very complicated. she was abusive for many years but has now gotten “better” and has moved on and has a new family that she treats significantly better than she did with macie and her sisters and her dad. on her 16th birthday, she gets a letter from her mom basically explaining why she did what she did and that she wants a relationship with macie and macie is like idfk what to do

my original fc for her was mckenna grace (don’t ask questions okay) but now i think either madison reyes or xochitl gomez would be who i’d choose now!

and for lucky number five, her first debut album would be called aristole and it would have similarish vibes to taylor swift’s ttpd!
