The six year old was nothing but a swirl of dark brown pelt like a whirl of autumnleafs when she jumped up from her seat by the table and sprinted towards the entrance. “Ull,come back right now!”, Zivs voice cut through the air like a blade and the small girl promptly stopped in her tracks, her tiny paws frozen on the much too big Pilothelm from which Ziv could remember Ull had been small enough to be once jokingly carried in just maybe four years ago. Four years ago wihich was not that long ago. Four years ago which was a whole lifetime ago.

Ulls fluffy ears moved up and down as if she was a undecided animal and slowly, much too slowly, she toddled back to the table and asked sweetly innocently: “Yes,Mama?” With a confused frown Ziv wondered when exactly the small girl had started to stop beeing sweetly innocent and instead decided to be sweetly innocent when she wanted something. If it would not have been used against her, Ziv would have been proud and even thought she knew she should not be there was still a small flicker of pride in the womans chest. The girl will get far in life, Ziv liked this thought very much. She let herself slide down from her chair-made for humanoids so when she was sitting on it the Tynnans hindpaws would dangle in the air as if she was a child- to start putting the plates on eachother: “No ‘yes,Mama’,you know the kriffing rules.And the rules say what?” From one moment to another Ull poofed up her pelt and she started: “But-” “No  ‘but’, what are the rules?”, Ziv promptly cut her off, very well knowing that when Ull had a chance to start she would never ever stop as it already had been since the second the cub realized that noises could be put together in words and words could be put in sentences and sentences did not needed endings when ones name was Ull. The small girl looked to the side, mumbling something quietly in her dark brown pelt that drowned in the as soft as velvet fur. The small cabine Ziv had rented when Ull had been born was round, the kitchen was a with deep blue curtains sepperated part from the bedrooms and the little breeze sneaking through the round window made those curtains move like gentle oceanwaves. From outside the noises of the small starport poured inside like drops of saltwater from a rising sea.  Ziv did not moved a inch, her arms crossed before her chest, her head tilted to the side and waiting just a second longer as her ears turned after the noises outside: “I can´t hear you,Ull.” “..we first clean up after dinner and only then we do something else...”; the cub mumbled so quietly as if she was hoping that if noone would hear it, it might not be a rule to follow. Then from one moment to another the girl looked up again, her pelt bristled like from electricity and she started: “But Uncle Poe said I should come right after dinner and it is right after dinner so I have to go to him since I like flying and I have to get good at flying and if I do not fly he will be disappointed since I did not come as I have promised right after dinner and since it is right after dinner I have to go to Uncle Poe-” “We first clean up after dinner and only then we do somehting else, you said it yourself.”, Ziv repeated and hieved the plates over to the kitchencounter where still the scent of grilled blue alga that grew at the near oceancoast hung in the air like a parfume. “B-bu-”, the girl started and looked up to Ziv while her brown eyes- so bright brown they looked almost like gold- eyes turned bigger and bigger with every passing second and she wriggled her small,fluffy ears with a small, barely hearable whimper.

Knowing exactly what the girl tried to do, a frown appeared on Zivs round face and drew a line as deep as a scar between her eyes: “Don´t kriffing start that, Ull.” The small girl did not moved, instead her eyes only seemed to become even bigger,shimmering big and golden and very adorable.

Without her wanting it, Ziv started to wag her snowwhite tail restlessly and she harrumphed: “I have teached you that trick, cub, why do you even think that would work on me?!” Ulls eyes were so big it seemed a miracle they did not rolle dout of the small girls skull the next second. The small girls bottom-lip started to tremble and her face looked very round and very fluffy. Ziv narrowed her eyes to thin slits: “I said kriffing no!” Ulls eyes were very big, very golden, and very adorable.

Three minute later Ull was on her way to the landing-field, her fluffy tail wagging the whole way as if she was a happy puppy.
