So Ochi, Oda, and Aoki are all sophomores instead of juniors.

I actually just added a few new song lyrics to my title ideas doc like yesterday, so for the made-up fic title, one of the new ones: hoping for the starlight

“This time, it’s for real.” Mitsuomi broke in. He gestured at the monitors around the room, filled with tiny lines of data that Subaru couldn’t begin to understand—there’s a reason why Mitsuomi is the analyst. “This time it’s much bigger. Our tech can’t alter its course.”

“The Apiary won’t make it out unscathed.”

okay, so. i struggled a bit with the hypothetical plot of this hypothetical fic—i know i wanted it to be at least somewhat bittersweet, but i couldn’t decide on a concept

and then i remembered the other title you sent me the last time i did this (恋する惑星) and got an idea. while KoiWaku would hypothetically focus on YuniChika’s time on the defunct spaceport/settlement (and how through working together to archive the last words of a dead civilization would help them work through their estranged relationship), Starlight would detail the last days of the spaceport, ending with Mimura and Ochi deciding to leave the ’ghost echoes’ that prompted Team Seiin to send YuniChika to investigate API-4R1.

(it does mean Mimura and Ochi are dead in the ‘present’ of this fic’s universe though :/)
