For people still in denial whether Israel has committed war crimes, here is a comprehensive list of war crimes Israel has committed both before and after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the list being taken from the Wikipedia article of war crimes with some notable missing examples being the usage of chemical weapons, famine, disease and apartheid. The 7th of October attack did not occur in a vacuum, but is the product of decades of Israel not being held accountable for its war crimes.

Hello! Hoping to work out if you’re a weirdo or if the ad you posted here is serious. I could use the money, but would like to pass on being murdered in some random basement or finding out the hard way that this is code for some weird sex thing.
Let me know!
From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Oct 2, 2014 at 3:21 PM To: Dawn <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Re: Craigslist Ad
Dawn,
Thanks for reaching out. I can assure you the ad is very serious—unfortunately it is not “some weird sex thing” (sounds a little judgy, if you ask me), and my basement happens to be full up at the moment. And on the other side of the country, if that’s any comfort.
I need the package shipped ASAP. Looking for serious applicants only. Payment will be transferred when tracking information has been shared. Can you confirm you’re interested and available this week? Tomorrow would be best.

Hi,
Cool. Tomorrow’s fine with me, I’ve got an appointment in the afternoon but if it’s not too far by bike I can grab the package and mail it in the morning first thing. Can you share the address?
Just a heads up—I will be sending it to my roommate so she can, you know, follow up if I don’t make it home. Your email and ad too. I took screenshots. And I carry mace. For the record.

Dawn,
Sorry, got held up in a meeting.
Share whatever information you need to. Smart girl with the mace, though it won’t be necessary. Still, bring it along! Always best to be cautious. However, I am concerned about your “bike.” Surely a car would be much more efficient. The pickup location is a little outside of the hustle and bustle, if you will. It’s very important I receive the package on time.
Perhaps you could scrounge up a more reliable vehicle for the morning?
I’m attaching the address of the pickup location here. Please send confirmation.

A meeting? If you’re on the other side of the country, isn’t it like… 10PM where you are??
Also, my bikes just fine, thanks. I can leave early and make it work. Wait - how do I know you’re actually gonna pay me? I feel like I should get half up front as a symbol of, I don’t know, good faith or whatever.
Yeah, actually. I’m gonna need half now. My paypal uses this email address.
Best to be cautious, right?

You haven’t heard? No rest for the wicked, honey.
Send tracking info when you have it, and I’ll send over the rest. Don’t make me regret it! Oh—I should mention, it’s very important you do not open the package. It’ll be wrapped and addressed, so you just need to pedal it over and make the drop, got it? You can ask for Victor when you pick it up, he’ll be expecting you.
Also, have you ever considered working in sales? I’m always hiring.

Max,
You’re lucky I’m strapped for cash. Maybe I should’ve backed out when you insisted I not open the package (super suspicious, by the way!), but I went ahead and cycled 27 miles to, oh, what’s that? A FUCKING CEMETERY.
No, I didn’t open your stupid box, but it was fucking heavy. If I’ve just mailed you someone’s head, I swear to god I’ll find your ass and take yours as reparations. Also, the guy was a total creep. Victor? Whatever. Not gropey, but like, I think I’ll sleep worse knowing I live in the same city as the fucking crypt keeper. So thanks for that!
Here’s your tracking info. I’d like the rest of the money now.

I’ll pass on the snark, princess. Two years!

You know, you talk a big game for a man who won’t send me a photograph of himself. For all I know you could be gorgeous. Or extremely average. Completely forgettable.
Anyway. Guessing you need another shipment. I’ve got a couple days off this week and can go pick it up. Also, do I get a gift for two years of loyalty? Feel like I oughta get a commemorative mug or something.

Anyway, I’m guessing you’re asleep right now (you better be) but you’re probably gonna feel like shit whenever you get up. I nonetheless expect a full report on my desk of all your debauchery tomorrow. Your coworkers seem rowdy as hell. I don’t know how you get anything done.

Sorry, honey. Tales of my debauchery are far too scandalous to be immortalized in writing. All disclosures must be done in person, off record, so you’re shit out of luck—serves you right for your little screenshots. So mean.

You can pout all you like, Maxwell. You like the sound of my voice and I’ve got cold hard proof. Can’t take it back now!
Okay, but really, that’s gotta be the best email I’ve ever received (you’re competing against newsletters I don’t remember signing up for and updates from my cousins about their ten thousand offspring, but still, the title stands).
And you’ve got a pretty nice voice too, I guess. I can see how you swindle all those unsuspecting civilians into forking over their life savings!
Got plans tonight, but I could call tomorrow if you wanted. You can keep me company while I, gasp!, fold some laundry. Pretty exciting stuff for a Monday, I know.

From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Oct 6, 2018 at 7:03 PM To: You Subject: Miss my smuggler
I know you’ve put me on ice—would still really like to talk about that, by the way—but it’s coming up on refill season, so to speak…
Need to talk to you. I know you’ve blocked my number and that the flowers are arriving. Do you like them? Are you allergic? I had to guess. Thought you might be a ranunculus girl, but I’m open to notes, you know. I’m very trainable.
Just tell me what to do to make it up to you. Let me take care of you.
From: You Date: Fri, Oct 9, 2018 at 9:47 AM To: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Miss my smuggler [Sent with 1 attachment]
Sent your box. Here’s the tracking info.
The flowers are beautiful but please stop sending them. I don’t have enough vases and it’s getting a little ridiculous.
From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Fri, Oct 9, 2018 at 6:03 PM To: You Subject: Re: Miss my smuggler
So what I’m hearing is… you liked the flowers?
From: Lily of the Valley Florist <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Oct 12 2018 at 2:47 PM To: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Subject: Your custom order has been delivered!
From: You Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 4:30 PM To: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Subject: *waving white flag*
Okay, I’ve unblocked your fucking number. Please stop sending flowers. I surrender. Oh my god.
From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 4:39 PM To: You Subject: Re: *waving white flag*
It’s the ranunculus, isn’t it?
From: You Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 5:10 PM To: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Subject: Re: *waving white flag*
What’s the ranunculus?
From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 5:11 PM To: You Subject: Re: *waving white flag*
Your favorite flower. I guessed it right.
From: You Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 5:14 PM To: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Subject: Re: *waving white flag*
Shut up.
Please resume groveling on the phone. And no more flowers. I mean it.
From: Max Phillips <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Oct 12, 2018 at 5:19 PM To: You Subject: Fwd: Your flight has been booked!
No more flowers. Cross my heart.
One little tweak—how about I do that groveling in person? Snagged a seat on a red eye.

Thomas Wenski

Physique: Husky Build Height: 5'9"
Thomas Gerard Wenski (born October 18, 1950) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was appointed archbishop of the Archdiocese of Miami by Pope Benedict XVI on April 20, 2010, and was installed on June 1, 2010. He previously served as bishop of the Diocese of Orlando (2004–2010), coadjutor bishop of Orlando (2003–2004), and auxiliary bishop of Miami (1997–2003).

A handsome man. Although clean-shaven for most of his life (still handsome), he can grow an impressively thick beard apparently.

Born Oct. 18, 1950, in West Palm Beach, Wenski attended Sacred Heart School in Lake Worth and in ninth grade entered what was then the high school seminary of St. John Vianney. He continued his studies at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach earning a Bachelor of Philosophy degree (1972) and a Master of Divinity degree (1975). He later received a Master of Arts degree from the School of Sociology of Fordham University in 1993. Wenski was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Miami by Archbishop Coleman Carroll on May 15, 1976.

Wenski loves to joke (in three languages), rides a motorcycle for relaxation, a licensed pilot and has been known to puff on a cigar now and then. He’s almost perfect, if not for the whole priest thing. But I would over look that if he’d like to take a ride on my ‘personal hog.’ And by 'personal hog,’ I mean my penis. Oh, I am so going to hell.

Driver Profiles: Carlos Sainz
Updated December 2024

Name: Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro
Age: 30
Nationality: Spanish
Years in F1: 9 ( Toro Rosso 2015- Oct 2017, Renault Oct 2017-2018, Mclaren 2019-2020, Ferrari 2021-2024, Williams 2025)
Number: 55
WDCs: N/A
Driving Style: Sainz is most well known for his strategy more than anything. Regularly during races it is his suggestions on strat that are chosen, and most often they yield positive results. Beyond strategy, he has a calm and effective tire management and calculate decision making skills. All of this together leads to very intelligent driver, and allows him to be one of the smoothest drivers on the track. While he can be aggressive when needed, it is tempered by his patience (similar to teammate Charles Leclerc). The negatives about Sainz is that he tends to overthink in races. This is mostly due to his strategic and cautious way of racing, but it does not let him make split-second decisions very easily. He tends to not rely on his instinct very much.
History:
Sainz is the son of Rally World Champion Carlos Sainz Sr., and with his fathers racing fame came pressure at a young age. Sainz started his career in karting in 2006, after participating in smaller series in Spain. In 2008, he won the Asia-Pacific KF3 title, as well as finishing runner-up in the Spanish Championship In 2009, he also won the Junior Monaco Kart Cup, and was runner-up in the European KF3 Championship. In 2010 at age 16 Sainz raced in Formula BMW, and was added to the Red Bull Junior Program. He finished his season in Formula BMW in 4th place.

(Young Sainz sitting in Fernando Alonso's Renault)
During 2012, Sainz raced in both the Euro Series and British F3 Championships. He did well in both series, gaining multiple pole positions and podiums, but did not get particularly close to winning the championships.

In 2013 Sainz signed with a GP3 team to compete in that years championship. He was a midfielder during this time, and his highest finish was P7. He then competed in Formula Renault 3.5 the same year, and had a difficult year there as well.
In 2015 Sainz was brought up to Formula 1 to drive for Toro Rosso, Red Bull's junior team, opposite Max Verstappen. His time with Toro Rosso was difficult for Sainz, regularly experiencing mechanical problems and crashes. His first season with them he would find himself 15th in the championship. 2016 would see Sainz get his best career finish of P6, but still is counted as a rather negative year for the Spainard. 2017 was Sainz's best year with Toro Rosso, finishing at the Singapore GP in 4th place. Shortly before this race it was announced Sainz would be on loan to Renualt for the last 4 races and the 2018 season. Sainz stated it was unlikely he would return to Toro Ross. He never did.

(Sainz with teammate Verstappen)
The 2018 season with Renault saw Sainz have significantly more positive results. He qualified in the top ten for the beginning races, and finished in the points for all but one. For the next races, he would consistently score points. however, this was not enough for Renault and he was replace by Daniel Riccardo for the 2019 season. Happily for Sainz, he was able to sign a contract with Mclaren to replace his one with Renault.

(Sainz when he was with Renault)
The 2019 season and his first year with Mclaren saw Sainz achieve even better results. While his first three races were unfortunate, after he consistently scored high points right behind the top 3 teams and finished above his teammate, Lando Norris. He would go on to get his maiden podium at the Brazilian GP after Lewis Hamilton received a post race time penalty. Unfortunately the rest of the season was rather negative for Sainz, encountering engine problems, pit problems, and other things that made him DNF multiple races. 2020 was a more positive year, which saw him achieve more podiums and finish 6th in the championship.

(Sainz in his Mclaren)
In 2021 Sainz joined Ferrari opposite Charles Leclerc, by the far the most successful team he has been a part of. While he had some issues during the year, he also had a majority of his highest results, finishing the season in fifth and ahead of his teammate. 2022 saw his maiden win at the British GP. Won in a difficult rain race, he showed that he had the chops to keep up with his Championship battling teammate, and had a variety of positive results that year. He ended in fifth in the championship that year, this time behind his teammate. 2023 was a rough year for every team but Red Bull, however Sainz was the only non-Redbull winner that year at the Singapore GP, which was a mark of honor that year.

(Sainz after securing maiden win)
2024 Sainz had a relatively positive year, with a few standout performances and a few terrible results. Notably he crashed out of both Baku and Brazil. However, he won in Australia and Mexico, so kind of a mixed bag. He finished 5th in the standings.
He is set to join Williams for the 2025 season.

(Sainz getting champagne poured on his head by teammate Charles Leclerc at the 2024 Australian GP)
Major Races:
2019 Brazilian GP - Sainz first podium finish, he achieved it after Lewis Hamilton received a time penalty post race. Regardless, he has a strong race and was able to compete with top teams ina. midfield car.
2020 Italian GP - Driving withe Mclaren, he achieved a P2 finish, his highest at the time. Again, we see Sainz has a talent for pulling the maximum out of his car.
2021 Monaco GP - His first podium with Ferrari, the Monaco GP is a prestigious and difficult race. On top of that, it is an early race, and displayed how fast Sainz adapted to the Ferrari car.
2022 British GP - His first win, this race was a wet one which saw multiple DNF's from other drivers. His skill in wet weather allowed him to battle with top drivers like Hamilton and take the win.
2023 Singapore GP - As the only non-Red Bull winner that year, this race result will always show how strong his race craft is. Whiel he held the lead for most of the race, a late safety car threatened his position. In a spur of genius he used Mclaren driver Lando Norris as a buffer to the attacking cars behind, keeping Norris within DRS range but not allowing him by. By far the most impressive use of DRS I have seen from a front car.
2024 Australian GP - Shortly after his appendix surgery, Sainz won through pure race skill, and got Ferrari there first 1-2 of the season, giving them a major lead in the championships.
Cheers!

Hey I've been seeing a lot of "Laws of Talos" and "Castle of Nations" post and fanart by you, and, sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly are they? What's their origin? Sorry, but I kind of want context on it to understand them.
Castle of Nations was an old webseries concept by an artist known as UnknownPerson, who was active on deviantart in 2007-2010 and active on tumblr during 2012-2016 (there's also a blogspot from the 2009-10 period with more bits of concept art)
Law of Talos (2008-09) and Endzone (2007-08) were OC Tournaments (OCTs), which are large crossover storytelling events (most commonly hosted on deviantart back in the day) that can feature up to 64 artists at a time. UnknownPerson has entered two of these OCTs with his characters from Castle of Nations, making fully animated entries for each round and comics in-between the rounds. Each OCT has roughly 1 hour's worth of animation (He has also entered several other OCTs with characters from other series and/or collaborating with other artists in comic format)
I have compiled a watch guide for Unknown's Law of Talos arc here in a chronological watch order (which was necessary due to the Flash format no longer accessible) (for other contestant's entries, refer to the larger Law of Talos archives)
I have yet to find an archive for Endzone, and I haven't made a watch guide for it either. But you can find comics on his deviantart page and the animations have been mirrored by an archivist on youtube.
TL;DR, old web animation from the late 2000s, please refer to these handy diagrams for a rough analogy
#this is so hard to explain#if i wasn't so busy i'd make a neocities directory or something istg#castle of nations#law of talos#endzone

WARLORD OF MARS no.1 • cover art • J. Scott Campbell [Oct 2010]
The original warrior of Mars returns from Dynamite! Warlord of Mars is an enhancement of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs story, Princess of Mars! If you thought you knew the story, think again! This series will capture the ?grit and action of the original while expanding on it with new elements. The story is about John Carter, an ex-cavalry officer in the Confederate Army who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars! Joining him in his adventures there are Tars Tarkas, his Martian comrade, and Dejah Thoris, a Martian Princess.

Re your reply to last ask you got
I agree with the sentiment but about antipsychotics just fyi in my experience they can be incredibly helpful for extremely severe dysphoria and intrusive post-traumatic symptoms. I haven't seen anything published on this but i other know people who experience similar effects. I agree that they are over-prescribed but there are indeed reasons to prescribe them other than making the patient comform to social norms/ function under capitalism. They do not produce euphoric feelings but they do alleviate dysphoric ones - the function of medication is to minimise suffering not create pleasure and antipsychotics have potential to do that
i disagree wholeheartedly with this characterisation of 'the' function of psychoactive substances & the reasons antipsychotics (neuroleptics) are prescribed. here are some resources that have shaped my thinking on antipsychotics (neuroleptics) specifically:

Timeline of Fremont Street Experience
Construction of Fremont Street Experience, c. November 1994. Photo by Pam G.
Facing a stagnant economy and fearing that mega-resort projects on the Strip would further drain visitors to downtown casinos, Las Vegas City Council and downtown casino execs collaborated to create an attraction downtown which would become Fremont Street Experience (FSE).
'91: Feb., Mirage Resorts chairman Steve Wynn suggests Venice-style canal attraction for Fremont St. Jul., City council forms committee to study downtown revitalization.
'92: Jan., Downtown Progress Association hears redevelopment proposals from three firms, rejects all. Apr., City begins purchasing property for future development use. Jun., Architect Jon Jerde presents plan for Fremont Street Experience.
'93: May, LVCVA approves $8M funding for FSE. Aug., City Council approves tax increase for financing the construction. Nov., City begins procedures to condemn property of owners who refuse to vacate on 400 block of Fremont St.
'94: Mar./Apr., Demolition of south 400 block Fremont St (Block 35, Clark Townsite) for the FSE Parking Garage, the end of a protracted battle which included the City of Las Vegas filing eminent domain actions against property owners.
'94: Sep. 7, Fremont St closed to traffic, and construction begins.
'95: Jul., Construction completed. Inaugurated Dec. 14.
'95: Nov., FSE Parking Garage opens.
2004: The canopy's 2 million incandescent bulbs replaced with 12.5 million LED lamps. The new light show dubbed Viva Vision debuts Jun. 14.
2010: Oct., Temporary zip-line from 4th St to Casino Center begins operating, continues through 2013
2013: Mar., Construction of the 120-foot Slotzilla platform begins; conceived and designed by Contour Entertainment.
2014: Apr. 17, Slotzilla lower zip-line opened. Upper zip-line opens Aug. 31.
2019: The Viva Vision display is rebuilt with 49 million LED lamps, competed Dec. 31. The new canopy can operate in daylight hours.
2020: Mar., Opening of the "Historic sign" on the west side of FSE facing Main St and Plaza Hotel.
As of 2025, Fremont Street Experience makes money from Slotzilla zip line tickets, leasing to kiosks, Walgreens, and iHeart Media, and the parking garage at 4th & Carson.

Demolition of Fremont & 4th (block 35), 1994. City of Las Vegas acquired the businesses on this block, partly through eminent domain, and demolished everything to make way for the Fremont Street Experience parking garage. Last building standing is Cornet 5-10-15 (401 Fremont). Photo taken from the garage of Fitzgerald’s Hotel & Casino by Roadsidepictures.

Section of scale model of Fremont Street Experience. Photographed Dec. 15, 1994, by Greg Cava. A 22-foot long scale model of Fremont Street Experience was built at the office of Atlandia Design, which supervised the creation of the attraction. Greg Cava Photograph Collection (PH-00399). UNLV Special Collections and Archives.

The “Vegas Vic” sign re-installed at Pioneer Club, December 23, 1994 - Photo by Las Vegas News Bureau. The sign was removed days earlier while the platform was extended from the building and the character’s hat was shortened, to accommodate the construction of the Fremont Street Experience canopy. The “Vegas Vickie” sign at Glitter Gulch casino was also lowered to fit under the canopy. Before the work was done on the two signs, a marriage ceremony was held on Fremont St for Vic and Vickie. Vic’s best man was Vaughn Cannon of YESCO. Guest of honor was Edna Sherrill who had played a “Vegas Vickie” character as a hostess at Pioneer Club in the 60s.
