CAROL!!!!! I just really stopped and stared at my screen blankly after reading that. THIS THEORY!!!! And Zayn supposedly co-wrote OCTD but he’s not listed as a writer on ASCAP, so what if he also agreed to have his credit wiped in exchange for I Won’t Mind?? (I don’t even know if that can happen but let’s go with it!)��

It’d be unfair that he’d lose out on royalties for OCTD and all that but A NOBLE SACRIFICE. Because I Won’t Mind deserves to be out in the world and ruining lives. 😎

Wasn't around that time that they started writing on their own too? Louis and Liam with Bunetta, Harry with others, Niall with McFly, Zayn on his own like he said in his book and later with NB.. I bet that nasty prick didn't want to include One Chance To Dance on the album which reminds me that guy's tweet about Louis not being able to hit any notes lol! The rat had so much power in the band for someone with no talent :(( That's why he's Cowell's favourite.

yup, 2012/2013 was when they started to explore their own writing with different songwriters which i think was definitely a good thing and somewhat inevitable. they were five teenagers on the cusp of adulthood who got famous singing bubble-gum pop, so i can understand the desire to branch out and “mature” their music. but the way louis went about it is so sketchy and petty to me bc it seems clear that it was more abt shifting the narrative from “wow look at that rat faced one who definitely can’t sing” to Noted Singer-Songwriter Louis Tomlinson than actually giving all five of them equal opportunity to express their voices and interests. lmao rmb when tom from the wanted said that he used to beg for solos behind the others backs bc the producers were giving them to the others instead of him? rly makes u think huh  🤔

If the version Shahid put out is similar to what Zayn worked on with him, it would've fit so well on four. Like it was clearly meant for a boyband, and would've sounded better than it does with Joe singing it on his own. But instead we got the moldy pint of guinness that is act my age 🙄

Tell us your most precious childhood memory.

Oh there’s so many to choose from.I was around 9. I’d had major surgery the year before. The cat my parents had when I was born had passed away. Mom promised we could go to the shelter and get a cat. We go together and pick out this little, mostly scared of everything tonal gray tabby. Bright Eyes. We put her in the box the shelter gave and we go home. Half-way home my mom in her infinite wisdom tells me to let the cat loose she’ll be fine. She was, after it took my dad 2 hours to dislodge the scared cat from the under-steering wheel wiring harness. Get the cat inside, and somehow the cat “disappears.” We figure in one of the two times someone left the house the cat got out. {i was young, I had no idea} So the next day we go back to the shelter and get the other cat we were looking at (mom’s idea) “Dad said we could have another one.” Get her home and all is fine. Parents are asleep the next night and dad sees cat #1 slinking across their headboard, follows cat to hiding place, and we ended up with two cats. Sunny the ginger and Bright eyes the tonal gray. Bright eyes ended up being my cat and sunny was mom’s. Bright eyes lived until I was 24. Sunny until I was 25. Sunny was dumber than a box of rocks taped shut. Bright Eyes was smart but very shy around people, except me. She developed OCTD in later life - obsessive compulsive turkey disorder - to the effect if my mom cooked turkey it had to be in a crockpot in the bathroom with the door locked (it was the only room in the house with a lock), otherwise bright eyes would knock the crockpot off the counter and assault the turkey before it finished cooking.

i'm convinced it was lewis' fault and those whites wanting all the credits. like why would z and nb be so excited and in talks with simon for one chance to be a potential single and then it's not even on the album but shit like act my age is? the wanted guys saying how lewis would go behind the others' backs to producers and savan not liking him is more evidence. every single time i think i'm over being bitter about z's treatment, shit like this brings it up. now i want that original z demo!

Oh no, I definitely agree. It’s a cheesy song, and if anything like that had been on MoM, I would’ve been like boi wtf are you doing. But a lot of 1d’s lyrics were way more cringeworthy than that, so it would’ve been fine for them

Nope, he didn't. It could be that he just took out whatever Zayn contributed, like substituted whatever lyrics Zayn wrote. But considering Emeli Sande is still credited, it's very likely still a similar version of the same damn song, so it's a petty move regardless.
