Dec 20th kicks off my new NYC residency “Library & Archive”, at Friends and Lovers in Brooklyn from 7:30 PM–4 AM!

THIS FIC The underlying premise is absurd, of course. Jason's been kicked out of Gotham after a murderous temper tantrum. So. He goes to NYC and puts his Bat medical education to good use And happens upon our intrepid failboat hero, Clint, freshly off getting the shit kicked out of him by the Tracksuit Mafia (he put up a good fight guys) Which pisses Jason right off, obviously. So then he’s just full vigilante after he finds out what happened to Clint Meanwhile Bucky is like 'Some other wannabe hero is killing tracksuits when I, a bonafide assassin, wanted to do it'

The indelible humor of Clint lying on a couch with a broken arm and an ice pack on his face just trying to nap while Bucky whines in a corner about how he wanted to do the murders. And then it's a bunch of weird assassin courtship rituals as Bucky and Jason try to one-up each other in a strange game of 'who can woo Clint Barton best' using crime-fighting, expensive cars, and stolen batman body armor. And then they fuck about it.

knife - bg3/forgotten realms canon

Knife (prior to getting his money up post-game) mostly dresses like a typical common person of the time/setting, with some roguish elements that almost mirror what a bandit or merc might wear. he is usually in some type of armor (gambeson/leather armor), the daily tendency being either to stay ready or just be naked lol. once he's able to afford it, he really likes drow leather. he doesn't like loud colors or flashy clothes - even after he becomes wealthy, he prefers discreet and practical dress.

two items of interest - he wears an amulet from the Emperor based on this nexus mod bc i just love it and it's become a part of my headcanon for Knife now!! it is likely a resonance stone. he also wears some jewelery (chain/bandana, rings on his left hand); i've mentioned before that this DND resource inspired me to give him some coded jewelry that signifies to clients that he's open to work, and what kind of work he does.

Here at The Nosher, we absolutely love a good hot dog. As Memorial Day approaches, we’re taking a moment to praise this surprisingly Jewish food — because yes, hot dogs aren’t just ballpark fare, they’re Jewish culinary staples.

We’ve written plenty about the magic of Jewish sausages — hot dogs perhaps being the most popular of them all (read more about that here) — and we’ve spelled out the history of kosher hot dogs here. TL;DR: Kosher hot dogs started in the late 1800s when Jewish butchers in NYC put a kosher spin on German/Austrian sausages, with Hebrew National kicking off in 1905. They caught on fast among both Jews and the general public, thanks to great taste, its kosher status and higher food safety standards. Nosher writers never get tired of singing hotdogs’ praises. In fact, some say kosher hot dogs are the greatest American Jewish food of all time (have you read this ode to hot dogs?). Another writer shared that they think about a chicken-cilantro hotdog garnished with Caesar salad every single day.

Naturally, we had to poll our colleagues — highly trained hot dog connoisseurs — on their favorite kosher brands. The top picks? Hebrew National (always reliable), Abeles & Heymann (a summer must-buy at Trader Joe’s, offering the best prices on the market), and Jack’s Gourmet (especially their Italian variety, which makes a killer choripán).

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about the FCD Club. Definitely pushed the narrative a little with my own fanfiction lol

At the end of the story it states that Cassandra broke up with her girlfriend and doesn’t come around much anymore. BUT-

What if I wrote a fanfiction that leads up to the wedding? Cass gets with NYC girl to solely make you jealous. So now it’s around the wedding reception, and here’s my idea:

MC is feeling pissed because NYC girlie keeps rubbing in her face how Cass loves her and only her, and how LuCkEy she is

Cassandra is trying her best to stop the wedding by being overly sweet and nice, flirting with you whenever she can but not in front of her GF

And Bela is trying to be twice as romantic as Cass out of insecurity. Bela isn’t stupid, she knows was Cassandra is doing, and even though you’ve been together for years she’s so stressed out she thinks you’re ACTUALLY going to leave her

So now you’re LITERALLY about to get married and there’s so much shit happening. On one hand you don’t wanna get back with Cass, but you also kind of wanna stick it to her girlfriend who’s being an asshole. As well as you’re trying to soothe your fiancée, and proving to GF that Cassandra is still in love with you isn’t exactly comforting

Would this be a good fanfic or just a lot of drama? Should I just make a part 2 of An Ode to the Fuck Cassandra Club?

(1) Which 911 Lone Star character redemption moment is your favourite? The post Push Tarlos reunion and TK coming home. That "welcome home TK" just has me 😍😍😍 every time I watch it.

(2) Is there a character you think deserved more of an on screen redemption moment than we got in the show? Andrea and Gabriel. Carlos called TK his friend from work in front of them one ep because he was still afraid of upsetting them by telling them he has a boyfriend... and i'm pretty sure the next time we see them, they're coming over for dinner at the townhouse and they're happy to be there and spend time with TK as their son's boyfriend. With the way their behaviour has affected Carlos since he was a kid, that "journey" deserved more screentime.

(3) Is there a recurring (or even one-time guest) “villain” that you would like to see return with a redemption arc? Or if not, is there a “villain” you absolutely would not want to see get a redemption? I want the homophobic woman from season 1 back. Just for shits and giggles so tarlos can be the most obnoxiously loved up married couple everyone knows they can be. Let them break the no pda on the job rule just for her.

(4) Are there any unresolved conflicts from the first four seasons that you wish were reconciled on screen? Unpopular opinion maybe but I'd like to see Alex again. Have him come to Austin for work or something or have tarlos go to NYC and run into him and just let him and TK get some kind of closure now TK at least is in a better place. I'd like Alex to own up to the fact that cheating on TK was a dick move, but I also need TK to acknowledge his OD was not Alex's fault. And just kind of... realise they were all wrong for each other but it's water under the bridge now. They're not friends and never will be... but they can be *civil* if they run into each other in the street.

(5) Which main character would you like to have a more developed backstory? I want to know more about Marjan's family - what is their relationship like now after she and Salim broke off the engagement? Does she still talk to her parents? She mentioned her sister in her road trip ep and her parents sent her flowers but I want to know more! I NEED to know how Nancy got so much money, and I want to know about her date in six inch heels. Mateo - the way he stepped up with his old captain was so good and showed so much growth! I want to know more about THAT Mateo. Not the sitcom version. That never again please. And Carlos with his sisters. I'm 99,9999999% sure Tim &co wrote them in because Rafa kept saying he thought Carlos was raised by women... but I still want to know more about them. What it was like for the three of them growing up. Did he come out to them before or after he told Andrea and Gabriel? Did they know at all? What did they think about the Iris of it all? I wanna know!
