The Triple Horn of Odin is a pagan symbol of the Scandinavian Vikings, the symbol of the God Odin. It is a triple horn for wine, signifying strength and power. The symbol indicates the pursuit of knowledge and discovery.

The Triple Horn of Odin is a Viking symbol made of three interlocking horns representing the three horns in the myth regarding Odin and his quest for the magical mead, Odhroerir/Óðrerir, also known as the Mead of Poetry.

According to mythology, the gods Asgard and Vanhaem decided to end their conflict peacefully. To make the treaty official, the two spat into one common vat, from which a divine being named Kvasir was formed, who became the wisest man.

Unfortunately, the two dwarves killed him and sucked his blood to create magical honey. The dwarves mixed the honey with the blood. Anyone who drank it had the gift of poetry or wisdom. They put the magical honey in two vats (called Son and Bodn) and a cauldron (called Odrerir).

One, the leader of the gods, was irrepressible in his quest for wisdom, so he sought honey. When he found the magical honey, he drank the entire cauldron and emptied two vats. In the form of an eagle Odin flew toward Asgard to escape.

The myth gave rise to the popularity of mead, an alcoholic drink made from fermented honey and water, and to drinking horns, which the Vikings used for drinking and traditional toasting rituals. Odin's triple horn also became closely associated with the use of honey for wisdom and poetry.
