A poem about hands <3 Hands hands hands <3

Thinking about husband hands today !!! Wedding hands !!! Young hands in the back of the Kash n Grab freezer !!! Young hands passing cigarettes and joints back n forth and fingers brushing !!! Hands combing through hair on the bad days !!! Hands combing through hair just because they can !!! Hands roaming bodies !!! Holding hands during AND after sex !!! Holding hands when they're sleeping !!! Hands cradling rosy cheeks !!! Hand holding hand when walking down the street !!! Grabbing hold of the other person's hand to ground themselves !!! Ian's big paws totally encasing Mickey's when Mickey is cold !!! The way Ian's hands are so big and Mickey's are so small and they fit together so perfectly !!! (starts sobbing)

So many hand thoughts, Mel, so many thoughts (as you can see, I love everything about Ian and Mickey's hands) ❤🍅

oh.... oh wow. that is so lovely and kind of achingly sad. the little ways they were able to reach out for each other and all the ways they couldn’t. the freedom they have to do so now! and they do! all the time! hands always seeking and touching and feeling. i bet sometimes they just throw a hand out and grab on just to remind themselves that they can. after a decade of feeling each other slip away, that urge to just hold on! and i bet the other one understands without questioning. they just let themselves be moved and held. poem anon you destroy me in the best ways.
