Backstory of how i got into kpop: Let's start this emotional roller coaster,shall we? At first , i had heard of kpop before but i made fun of it ( ik unacceptable. Who was i before kpop?). Then i started hanging out with my current friend group who listened to kpop a lot expect for one ( for the sake of this story we will call her billie because she loves billie eilish) called billie. So me and billie would always joke around how we are the non kpop squad and how we will never fall into the dark abyss of kpop(little did i know lol). So one day my friend uwu (thats not her actual name lmao) invited us to her house.Billie didnt come early so uwu was like 'hey since billie isnt here,Would u like to listen and watch some kpop music videos?' and i was like 'sure why not'. She first showed me a song "Call Call Call" By seventeen and i loved it ahaha. I loved their songs and the group so i started listening to them.Later on maria aka @whslaugh was like 'hey there's a group that i really love called Monsta X and they are very cool.You should check them out' and i was like ' okay cool'. So one day i was bored and i was like hmm maria said that i should listen to their songs, might as well do it now since i have nothing better to do. So i put Monsta X on YouTubes search bar and the mv of Jealousy was the first one to pop up so i was like Jealousy yas. I like the title. I clicked it and i feel in love with them and ever since then I've been supporting them 💓

1) what was the first k-pop song you listened to?

That is quite an interesting question and I’m not even sure??? My brother was SUPER into jpop so I listened to a lot of that when I was younger but in terms of kpop I think f(x)’s red light??

2) the first group that you stan and the latest group you are in love with?

i suppose f(x) but the first group I really fell in love with was exo and the latest group I love is definitely bap

tbh i don’t listen to happy songs to cheer me up i listen to sad songs and my Depressive song of choice is fucking..... Mirotic..... like the original TVXQ version..... idk man it’s like my mind was like “i’m gonna ruin a song with sadness LETS MAKE IT MIROTIC”

i want to be friends with cha hakyeon so much :((( i also want to have milkshakes with hyuna :((((

hakyeon and me are both water signs and i get along so well with cancers and i feel like we are very relatable we’ll complain that we’re undervalued by our peers and probably compliment each other nonstop

and hyuna is so energetic and fun i love her soo much omg it would be so fun just to hang out <3

First bias: Hobi ^^ I had started watching American hustle life a few days before Wings dropped and I instantly fell in love 

Current bias: Hobi and Tae 💕 At first I thought Tae was just my bias wrecker but I slowly realized that he meant a lot to me. The whole group has been my bias wreckers lately.

favorite era: oh this one is hard bc everytime I watch a MV I’m always saying oh this one is my fav. I really liked dope, but I’m completely in love with the Wings and YNWA era(I know it’s a repackage but like it feels new?)

most played song by them: Probably Cypher pt. 3 or Baepsae lol Cypher pt. 3 was the song that really made me consider getting into BTS. Also it’s just one of those songs that gets me energized(I’m a very low energy person) like I could kick my own ass to this song. Basically I’m Taehyung when it starts playing 😂

First bias: I.M, I was really drawn to his voice when I first started listening to them. Also, I think my personality is similar to his.

OMG HI JINNKOOK

1) How and when did you get into BTS?

HAHAHAH funny story. so i remember exactly how i got into bts and i even got the receipts to prove it. so my cousin and i are both into kpop and we would FB message each other to talk about kpop and one day she was like “mary have you heard of this group called bangtan boys?” and i was like “no i haven’t” and then she was like “they released their new mv you should check them out. rap mon and jungkook are my biases” so on june 11, 2013, i watched their ‘no more dream’ mv when it first came out and then i fell in love ever since then (it was love at first sight with jimin but jin was feeding looks as well. i mean he still does to this day). and then afterwards i was like oooh these guys are cute so i went to go check to see what else they had released and then i found the ‘graduation song mv’ with hobi, jungkook, and jimin and ya the rest is history. i’d like to take this time to thank my cousin b/c if it wasn’t for her then idk what i would do or be right now.

3) Has Bangtan influenced your life in any other way?

bangtan has taught me a lot in life and the group as a whole is so inspiring in each of their own ways. but i think the one who has influenced me the most has to be namjoon. that boy… he is so amazing and smart and mature and wise and knows so much about life. i always find myself in awe whenever he’s speaking b/c he speaks with such eloquence and always says such encouraging words. all my fav inspirational quotes come from him (my most fav quote of all is from him) and i even have sticky notes on my laptop with quotes from him as reminders when i’m having a hard time or when i’m feeling down or stressed out about stuff. he and the rest of bangtan always motivates me to be better.

4) Top 10 Songs?

i really only have 2 top top fav songs from bts: i like it & baepsae. the rest are all equally wonderful to me. so my rank would be 1) i like it 2) baepsae 3) rest of bts songs

5) Favorite album?

omg this is so hard b/c i genuinely enjoy all their music and albums. if i had to choose… i think i came to the conclusion a while back that ‘dark and wild’ is my fav album of theirs (CYPHER PT 3 THO)… but ‘skool luv affair’ is also really good… yeah probably ‘dark and wild’ that era was fucking amazing (those 2 albums were the first physical bts albums i owned so that says a lot)

6) Favorite lyrics?

all the cyphers basically. LOL jk. spring day’s lyrics are really nice and pretty and emo. i also really like namjoon’s ‘i don’t know you you didn’t know me’ in ‘love is not over’ which is really really random but idk that line always sticks out to me every time i listen to the song (which is everyday)

7) School trilogy, HYYH era or WINGS?

OMG WITHOUT A DOUBT SCHOOL TRILOGY. just straight up school trilogy. no second doubts, no second guesses, none of that. school trilogy was fucking amazing. all the albums were great, the concept and era was fucking amazing, all the songs were bops.

8) Which Cypher part do you like best?

CYPHER PT 3. my goal in life b4 i die is to be able to see bts perform cypher pt 3 at least once live. then i can be happy.

‘so far away’ from august d. no doubt about that. the song is so good and suran is so amazing. as for rm… does ‘change’ count? LOL

jungkook’s cover of zion. t’s ‘yanghwa bridge’ always gets to me b/c he’s a baby and he’s so precious and for him to cover a precious and amazing song like this. it gETs me in the heArT everytime i listen to it. ‘fools’ by rap mon and jungkook is also really good. and then ‘graduation song’ with hobi, jimin, and jungkook b/c i’m biased af like that and that was my second mv that i saw from them. and then ofc, can’t forget their ‘typical idol christmas’ covers that makes me cry every time i listen to it
