Highlights from today's Cast Q&A

first time seeing them talk and I'm already in love!! Erika *is* Charlie, so bubbly and charismatic and funny and charming. I love Amir's quick wit, energy and nuanced takes and Blake gave me major ~chill, soft-spoken, thoughtful friend everyone would wanna have~ [and he could totally play Firo in a live-action adaptation]

I love this entire cast, tho! They're all so incredibly endearing, witty and *fun*. And they seem to genuinely like and appreciate each other, which is just💙💙💙

Re: Alastor's name, per Viv: because he's 'existed for a long time' she was just looking through books until she found it - it 'sounds cool', but also because there are a couple of Alastors in demonology

Erika's comment about Charlie's being 'a little oldschool'👀👀 [in reference to her fave candy, but still, lol]

[...] 'I can't relate to that, but it means a lot to mean a lot to people.' + [re what a character like Alastor can prove:] 'If you're AroAce, it doesn't mean that you're lame/ uninteresting.' + also mentioned that it hasn't affected his portrayal of the character, in the same way Alastor's being from New Orleans hasn't, either [since, duh. Context??]

Already knew this, but Viv reiterated that that's something 'unique about Alastor' - that 'he doesn't even comprehend it. It's who he is, but it's not a label that he understands and works on.'

Re: fave character weakness/strength - > Amir: 'He's clever and he doesn't have to look at things one way. He can come at things from different angles.' + ~ the idea that a smile is a tool is clever and I like that he doesn't feel the need to wear his heart on his sleeve.'
