Thinking about how Alex confirmed that after Ford went through the Portal, the possession thing that Bill had was over.

I just wonder how Ford found out about it.

Ford freaks out because he's now been wandering the dimensions for a few hours/days, afraid that Bill will find him or his goons, or just anything, then his body shuts down because he's been so long without sleep...

and then he wakes up....

in the same place where he passed out, no wounds, no bruises, just groggy from the sudden sleep, and he's so relieved and at the same time a part of his brain screams and scratches saying "this is a joke, he's playing with me, he's waiting for me to let my guard down" sometimes he dreams about Bill and thinks the worst and just.... nothing happens...

It takes years to get used to it...

listen. you start off thinking ghost is a serious attempt at being scary (example: ritual is literally about sacrificing humans).

you realize most of the scary stuff is just a sex joke in disguise (example: the human sacrifice in ritual is actually a jizz stain joke).

you realize that, while funny, this speaks to a larger theme of over-the-top machismo that does not leave much room for women.

you see copia performing a copy of his predecessors' acts, but he's framed as an awkward outsider.

you assume that copia is trying to fit into the lineage and still not measuring up to expectations.

and then i guess you see copia being the only one wearing makeup casually, you see copia worrying about his chin being too large, you see copia wearing a nun's cornette, you see—in a ranked list of silly halloween quiz results you have to dig in order to find—that it looks like copia's only interested in dressing as a woman for halloween, and you see impera with its opening and closing focusing on women dying at the hands of an empire. and you see its closing line and its solidarity with those women who have been killed and with those who are still living in fear.

and then you come on this blog and make these posts because you are me, i suppose.

'Two Peas in a Pod' or the Sibling Rivalry that is Maliketh and Marika:

Even before her ascension to godhood, Maliketh has always been protective of his dear sister. Wherever she was, he was not far behind.

I also like to think that before her ascension, Marika either occupied some position of importance in Numen society or descended from a family who did and that may have factored into why she was chosen as an Empyrean.

Marika has always enjoyed a rather privileged life. Despite being her brother, Maliketh was not afforded the same. It was close, though.

He is/was also the only one Marika could truly confide in. In the beginning, that is.

Fear and intimidation have always followed Maliketh since before her ascension which is why he didn't enjoy the same popularity Marika did. She did, however, put his intimidation factor to good use.

Once she became god-queen, however, their relationship took a gradual but huge nosedive. Maliketh's devotion to both her and the Golden Order birthed some deep-seated resentments she had towards him.

Despite the fact that they're both powerful people in their own right, Marika has always envied Maliketh his fighting prowess and extraordinary feats.

Believe it or not, they BOTH have egos the size of a football field. His duties as protector just keep his ego under wraps... for the most part.

The true extent of Maliketh's ego really comes out in battle, though.

Marika also envied the fact that his presence alone could command a room. She specifically kept him around for negotiations for this exact reason.

Maliketh was also her voice of reason. There were times he'd have to remind her of her duty so as to not let her newfound power go to her head. Over time, especially when she started growing disillusioned with the Golden Order, she confided in him less and less and kept him at arm's length. Unless, of course, she needed him to get his claws dirty.

To date, Marika is the only person who can even so much as raise her voice at him, question him, and get away with it. And vice versa, too. Even Godwyn wouldn't dare.

Marika always prided herself on the fact that she wasn't afraid of Maliketh. That was true... until it wasn't. Not anymore. Until she wanted to break free from the Greater Will and a piece of the Rune of Death was stolen from right under his nose. If Maliketh would've known about the role she played in this, the buildup to the Shattering, everything she did (to him, especially) because she wanted to be free...

I'll just say this: once Maliketh is slighted, he is slighted forever. He can hold a grudge like no one's business.

crack!canon: Radagon finds it humorous that Marika is highkey lowkey intimidated by Maliketh.

crack!canon, part II: There were few officials that Maliketh and Marika actually liked. The siblings used the Mimic's Veil to troll the shit out of them a handful of times. Or Maliketh would roar in the general vicinity just because or to announce his presence and scare them shitless. Of course, he also did this in general, too, so... yeah. He did have a habit of quietly staring down the ones he didn't like, though. Yeah, their sense of humor was weird...
