So last month I asked people which sets/units they missed the most now that the game was done, and what better way to ring in the holidays than to be a massive fucking hater? Is there any set you remember that you utterly despised (or just had a moderate disdain for)? Any particular character? Bonus points for not going for any "easy targets" aka already not well-received sets.
Again, I'll start:
🐾 Mod Ichi
(P.S.: This really is just for fun and to see other people's tastes and opinions, so don't take it personally if someone doesn't like a unit that you love. This goes both ways - don't get overly confrontational if someone likes something you hate. This is all subjective opinion at the end of the day, so let's be normal and chill for once.)

thinking about kuroba again so i did some phone doodles of their high school & kun looks!
some notes about about kuro's high school design under the cut!
despite being in the school's beautification committee, kuroba never really put too much thought into their own physical appearance until they got into college, only really doing the bare minimum to look presentable in public. the only reason why they ended up cutting their hair in their 3rd year was because they were sick of it constantly falling into their face and dealing with it in general. ( cutting their hair did kickstart their interest in changing their look, though. figuring out their gender helped a lot, too. )
they used to have horrible posture, often hunching forward. this only improved in college, when they started binding and felt more confident in themself.
the major reason why karamatsu doesn't remember who kuroba is is because of how much their look has changed since they were in the same 2nd year class, along with their change in demeanor. he still faintly remembers his interactions with them, though. i imagine that if kuroba showed up in the movie, they'd have a flower instead of a head in kara's memories.
he would've attempted to become friends with kuroba in their 2nd year, but he ended up forgetting their name and felt so terrible about it that he couldn't bring himself to try reaching out to them before they changed classes. they probably ran into each other once or twice during their 3rd year, but kara never made the connection ( and continues to fail to do so when they meet again. )

Oso & Respect research
I’m slowly (but definitely!!) re-watching ososan! I’ve so far watched 5 episodes, so here is what I’ve found so far about Osomatsu respecting women. This is to disprove the “Osomatsu doesn’t respect women & SOs” trope, and NOT intended to bash other characters.
1.) S1E02 - The Melancholy of Osomatsu
Osomatsu walks onto the bridge and finds Karamatsu creeping out Aida & Sacchi with his cool persona.
And Osomatsu KNOWS Karamatsu is annoying them. He could have de-escalated the situation by telling Karamatsu to stop, but instead his solution is...
To scare Karamatsu off the bridge and salute. (since Osomatsu is kinda a terrible brother, rip)
2.) S1E03 - Tidbits Collection (Dekapan Man)
Okay, literally this entire skit was Osomatsu preventing Dekapan from giving some gross stuff from his pants to other people.
2 of these 3 times even featured Dekapan trying to give Totoko something strange. (for real tho, if she was cold, Dekapan could have given the cape instead)
3.) S1E04 - This is Totoko
Osomatsu was waiting for Totoko after she invited him to her room alone. Osomatsu wasn't smug about this. Instead, he was nervous and imagined a scenario where Totoko confessed to him because he has a huge crush on her.
And later while the cameras were filming, Jyushi stood up to ask Totoko something uhh not TV friendly.
Oso quickly pulled him back down without making a fuss. He knew that wasn't something appropriate to say at the moment, and the scene continued etc.
Is Osomatsu always respectable? No, he isn't. But as seen with Kara at the bridge, or Jyushi, ALL the brothers have their faults. Osomatsu is not the worst, but I think his faults (and maybe also Choromatsu's) get pointed out the most in the show. That's why it's easy thinking Osomatsu is the worst towards women, when he really isn't.
My research is still in progress, so I hope to further update this as I continue watching! Please feel free to correct me on anything! I like hearing different perspectives, even if they are going against mine.
