Merry Christ-matsu (or whatever you celebrate) - my present to all of you is these scans of the box, case and 14-page booklet for the limited edition Hipipo DVD! it's not the most substantial read but still an interesting one, featuring model sheet drawings of the Matsus and side characters' new outfits, the Hipipo Tribe and the new locations from the movie, as well as storyboards for one scene.

of course, it has spoilers (on pages 2, 6 and 14 to be exact), so I don't recommend opening it before watching the movie (if you haven't done so yet, here ya go!)

Osomatsu-san the live-action movie With English subs now available for download (along with another English subbed version of The Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit)

Finally found a version of the live action version of the Osomatsu san movie with English subtitles! Sapphire Luna over on twitter has done a full translation and put it up to watch online and for download:

I am so happy and excited to finally find an English subtitled version of the live-action movie Osomatsu-san AND another translation of The Hipipo Tribe. The more fan translations there are of the Osomatsu san movies (and any other Osomatsu things out there) the better. Not only because more versions means more people are going to get the chance to see it (and it's less likely that all of them will be taken down), but because translations always come out a little differently when different people do them so each one inevitably has its own voice. It gives you the chance to experience something you enjoy in a new and unique way when a different translation becomes available. I hope we get a hundred of them, for real, seriously, I love this so much.

Anyway, spread this around, and let me know if you find any other fan subs of the movies online because I want to collect as many as I can! Hopefully cool and talented people will be willing to sub the next movie when it comes out as well! Keep circulating the tapes.

Note: I was unable to find a raw, so I had to use the only file available from the Chinese group NC-Raws. Despite their name, they were hard subs so I couldn't remove them. I tried to cover the Chinese subs as best as I could but you can still see them a little. If anyone knows where I can find a raw, I'll redo it!

Hipipo movie spoiler doodles!! Don’t click if you’re still waiting to see the movie with subs.

I love so much that Ichimatsu’s first solo love interest was basically a cryptid that became fascinated with him. That really does suit him. The subplot was so pointless but I don't CARE it was so cute to see Ichi all flustered. He deserved a cute little fling.

Too bad she’s now gonna be banished to the far off land where they send all of the female tertiary characters in this show. But she can make friends with Homura and Takahashi and Kin chan and all the others.

AND LASTLY, in the same vein of giving her a fandom name like Homura, can we name here Lelele? That’s the first voice line she had I think. It’s cute!

Those of you who have already seen Osomatsu San: Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu:

What are your thoughts on the movie? Genuinely curious how everyone else feels about it. I personally had a good time watching it (made me cackle a couple times, and the last 15-10 minutes were fun) but it definitely feels like a big step down from the last movie. Which, to be fair, I feel like it'd be hard to top when the first movie was so good, but it felt kinda lackluster.

(just a reminder that I didnt watch the movie yet so this is anyone's review what i saw from official twitter ososan tag "I watched Osomatsu Hipipo", some of it really weird review bcus of their "fantasy"??? so im not including that :/)

turns out quite positive review so far, lots of silly funny parts especially the second part of this movie ( this movie takes 1+ hours jsyk)

some of them cried on the OP of this movie bcus i think it shows how far Osomatsu-san had become for 6 years

ED is also good too I mean it obvious bcus the song made by PUNPEE and very bop you can listen like the short one here tho lol

basically from what I know the plot is 6 of them just want to take a bite of the sparkling apple but then some said the apple is the "key" that the ending is so good??? could be a punchline or epic conclusion idk

i think the most people talking about is Ichimatsu in love with someone in the movie and some said that might be his gf which is idk if thats confirm bcus i wish i can watch it to prove :( BUT some find that cute when Ichi goes blushy meow meow lol (someone made a tweet that the other 5 got love interest that is not totoko and Ichi is the only one who doesnt have one (1) romance trope i thought that sounds great??? anyways bisexual rights to this guy [applause])

OK my thoughts about the review is like ok...... if they said its good i guess thats great to hear! Also i kinda expect a little bit about Ichimatsu part?? bcus before that theres a interview with staff that there might be change something about Ichimatsu on hipipo before so yeah like um 🧍‍♂️ anywyas writer of osomatsusan promised to make season 4 something else in the future!!

“Osomatsu-san: Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu” The Movie and Trailer

A trailer for the latest installment in the Osomatsu-san franchise was revealed. The actors, story, and the film's main theme "Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake" by AOP are all featured in this video. Osomatsu-san: Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu, a Studio Pierrot production, is set to premiere in Japan on July 8.

Someone on twitter (specifically this generous person) has put the new Osomatsu-san movie up on a site where you can download and watch it!

I repeat,

This is currently the only way to see the new movie outside of Japan, and there are no subtitles and it’s only in Japanese, but the film has a lot of action and physical comedy so you can still enjoy it and (sort of) follow the plot even if you don’t understand what’s being said.

Enjoy! And please support the officially release when it comes out in English (but who knows when that’ll be…)

Also, there’s text at the end (and I mean RIGHT at the end, as in after the credits have fully rolled) that says what the title of the next movie coming out in 2023 will be!

Best I can tell, it translates to:

…I have no clue what that means. Guess we’ll all find out in 2023!
