save rock and roll should be explored more as a concept album. because while I don't think it was intended to be one like danger days or american idiot theres so clearly a STORY there. we have a whole hours worth of Story there and that story is ALSO IN THE LYRICS. normally I'm an "rpf is fine" girl but with save rock and roll theres such a clear concept behind the album that I cannot see it get boiled down any more to the "hiatus reunion !!! album" anymore

like does the story behind srar come from the hiatus? yes, it plays a MASSIVE effect on the story. the entire story practically IS a more violent form of their hiatus if you think about it. but also there is a concept with characters and a plotline we can also be exploring!!!!

NSFW/Not Safe for Work is a funny concept to me because I have on separate occasions worked as 1. a creator of porn comics for an online subscription service, 2. a film archivist, digitizing material for the The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction. I got to experience the dissonance of writing a crisp, professional email to my editor like I was taught to in art school and then attaching 18 pages of dong pictures to it. I've called a coworker over to dispassionately watch hardcore pornography over my shoulder so that they could help me make sure I was scanning a film at the correct frame rate. We were both wearing lab coats at the time. In terms of raw percentage, I have likely spent half or more of my professional life working in situations where it would not be all that unexpected to see someone's hole(s) in the course of my duties.

I've been developing a theory that the "Gundam curse" talked about in G Witch is actually a sort of meta commentary about how Gundam stories are expected to end with a good deal of tragedy and angst, with the protagonists breaking this curse by dealing with familiar issues in different ways form their predecessors. Things that made me think of this include Suletta using a nonviolent technique to stop the SAL laser, Felsi flying in to save Guel and call both him and Lauda fools for almost killing each other in an unnecessary fight a la War in the Pocket, and Miorine reducing space-earth tensions by simply being honest and forthcoming about all the corporate espionage nonsense that's been happening around her and dissolving said corporation to redistribute its resources to those who need it most.

in reference to this post of mine I want to explore the Save Rock and Roll concept album because it IS there. its the youngblood chronicles, it's the story of saving rock and roll from the hands of an evil cult. it's important to point out that (similarly to the black parade) the events of the album happen out of order since the songs in the videos aren't the same as on the track list, and that is important in how the story goes ex: rat a tat callsback to alone together with the "check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead" line, and those are the two videos in which patrick is brainwashed.

Had a dream I was watching an episode of House, M.D. where House really didn't want to be head of diagnostic medicine, so to demonstrate that he had no idea what he was doing, and also as a power play, he ate half of a power strip in front of Wilson. Just crunched down on the thing.

I was close enough to waking up that I remember thinking it was weird how flashbacks in later episodes showed him taking the post voluntarily, but I chalked it up to pilot episode weirdness.
