as far as i'm aware, Ito and Ote's connection has never been fully explained, so with the possibility of them being related, I can just imagine Abuse stubbling onto this blog wondering why the fan base is shipping the two brothers 😭😭 - an 'Ito and Ote gay church friends' truther
Lmao yeah tbh I can see why people read them as brothers, I just never have, personally. I'm assuming it's because Flower War's translation is more easily available since the PV actually has captions, and the translation decided to use Father to cover both the familial and religious definition. If they're taking Ito calling them family literally, it's. Yeah. But as an ex-religious bitch myself, I see it more as just yk cults be like that. But if Abuse somehow finds me and tells me personally I'm wrong yk what I'll take it lmao

Aramis Sartorio stars in ON THE EDGE as family man, Peter, alongside Sylvia Soska as his wife Claire. With a picture perfect life and family, beneath the surface, Peter hides a dark secret that leads him to book a 36 hr session with a domintarix who just might be The Devil. But will he survive? #OnTheEdge #OTE https://www.instagram.com/p/CpiUFrwpGqehg8-eD4g_CnoqDnRxmGEe53XN4o0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I low-key love the fact that sci-fi has so conditioned us to expect to be hanging out with a bunch of cool space aliens, that legitimate, actual scientists keep proposing the most bizarre, three-blunts-into-the-rotation "theories" to explain the fact we're not.
Some of my favourites include:
Zoo Theory: What if there are loads of aliens out there, but they're not talking to us because of the Prime Directive from Star Trek? (Or because they're doing experiments on us???)
Dark Forest Theory: What if there are loads of aliens out there, but they all hate us and each other so they're all just waiting with a shotgun pointed at the door, ready to open fire on anything that moves?
Planetarium Theory: What if there's at least one alien with mastery over light and matter that's just making it seem to us that the universe is empty to us as, like, a joke?
Berserker Theory: What if there were loads of aliens, but one of them made infinite killer robots that murdered everyone and are coming for us next?!!
Like, the universe is at least 13,700,000,000 years old and 46,000,000,000 light years big. We have had the ability to transmit and receive signals for, what, 100 years, and our signals have so far travelled 200 light years?
The fact is biological life almost certainly has, does, or will develop elsewhere in the universe, and it's not impossible that a tiny amount of it has, does, or will develop in a way that we would understand as "intelligent". But, like, we're realistically never going to know because of the scale of the things involved.
So I'm proposing my own hypothesis. I call it the "Fool in a Field" hypothesis. It goes like this:
Humanity is a guy standing in the middle of a field at midnight. It's pitch black, he can't move, and he's been standing there for ages. He's just had the thought to swing his arms. He swings one of his arms, once, and does not hit another person. "Oh no!" He says. "Robots have killed them all!"

oh!! something i think might be obvious but i think is neat is how the song christ is more angsty (i think there’s better word for what i mean but i can’t remember it and angsty is all i got) when jesus christ is all about salvation and stuff, and judas is a lot more like. self accepting? with the whole “march on you continue to live” and stuff when judas was a traitor to jesus and took his life out of guilt. the name song name judas and the line in the song “do betray” too. im sure theres a better way of putting this into words than what i’m saying but like. i have a whole Thing with religion but also love religious imagery and its something i think about a lot and i really like it. i hope im making sense lol, thats all :]
Yes 100%
I wish we got more from Ote with how much that plot centers around him, but I also have a Thing with religion and love religious imagery so I go crazy enough over him as it is. I love the dichotomy between the two that you noted, and to add on I love how well it works with how cults are. I was in a cult growing up myself, and a huge theme with them is reversing what things are. Jesus represents peace and holiness for most, the more "right" side, which leaves Ote going along with his beastly nature and angstiness; while Judas, the "villain" of sorts, has him accepting himself and more at peace with the world. I interpret Judas to take place after his parents and Ito have died, and after he has left their cult
