Also known as the Hand of the King, he was the younger brother of Lord Hobert Hightower as well as a knight of House Hightower. Otto served as Hand to three Kings; Jahaerys, Viserys & Aegon II. 

He was a scholarly man, who was in constant search for knowledge and wisdom. And although he did find some of it, he was blinded by tradition. 

 With an unnamed wife, Ser Otto had two notable children; Alicent Hightower, and Ser Gwayne Hightower as well as a few other sons. He never remarried after the death of his wife. 

  Otto had pushed for Aegon II to be King Viserys’ heir as soon as he was born, however, the King was adamant that Rhaenyra remain his choice. He pushed forward the notion that Aegon and Rhaenyra might be wed, but possibility was too dismissed. 

 When the King died, Otto was quick to find Aegon II and have him brought back to the castle. The Lords and Ladies of other Houses were made to swear to Aegon, even if they had done so for Rhaenyra. The coronation was done in haste, with Ser Criston Cole crowning Aegon II with the Conquorers crown.

❛ 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒 , when princess rhaenyra's younger twin was born. many did not think you would survive. as when you came into the world you was as quiet as a mouse. while your older sister roared. though you were a fit and healthy babe. it was clear to everyone that you were the calm and rhaenyra was the storm. and as the two grew older they were deemed inseparable. often making mischief in the red keep. though everyone knew it was rhaenyra's schemes. ❜

❛ 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒 , and that you just went along with it. the two of you were also very close with alicent hightower. and the trio were rarely seen apart from each other. that was until their mother died. everything seemed to change in the blink of an eye. alicent married their father. causing rhaenyra to resent her. and while you were angry with alicent. you didn't hate her and still to be kind to her and her children. which she appreciated. but as you would come to realise. you unknowingly placed yourself in the middle of a war of dragons. with both sides unwilling to give you up. ❜

Otto Hightower was a knight from House Hightower who served as Hand of the King to three kings. Considered a man of great learning in his time, Otto was haughty, blunt, and domineering. He was a methodical, and ambitious man.

❛ 𝐀𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃'𝐒 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐍 , was a quiet girl in her youth. practically conjoined to her older twin. often hiding behind him to avoid the torment of her brother and nephews for her lack of a dragon. she was known for her reckless and unladylike behaviour. preferring to learn the art of the sword rather than that of the needle and thread. the twins were born to be together two sides of the same coin. no wonder alicent had them betrothed. but after the harrowing night at driftmark. ❜

❛ 𝐀𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃'𝐒 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐍 , she was a woman reborn with a scar on her lower cheek. a reminder that she was forever marked by the actions of that night. but it was worth it as she had gained the one thing she always wanted. a dragon. but not just any ordinary dragon. perhaps the most dangerous of all. the cannibal. as the years passed her and aemond grew more and more formidable. dedicating themselves to their studies and their training. paciently waiting for the day they could take revenge on those that had wronged them ❜
