Want to see what’s inside our buildings?👀 We’re often asked what do our garden buildings look like inside - our answer is simply “whatever you want it to be”. The very nature of our modular spaces mean that you have a dedicated office, a gym, an entertaining space, a man cave, a studio, the list goes on. Here you can see how one of our clients have designed their space with an office area, coupled with a area to work out. This is 15sqm internally (5m x 3m) and gives our client plenty of room to change things up as their needs change. A dual air-con/heater (that can be controlled by an app) ensures the room is the perfect temperature all year round, along with recessed spots to provide plenty bright light. The lights can also be turned off by an app on the phone - ideal if you leave them on by mistake. A floor to ceiling window to the side aspect and double windows at the rear allow for additional natural light. ☀️ Notice how easy the sliding doors were to open (1 finger!💪🏼)? 😎 These are 3m wide, 2 pane sliding doors made from aluminium and include a secure multi-lock mechanism. Just finished a very busy day today. Starting with the glazing going in at our project in #Cuffley, a trip over to #Sutton to help with the Tv wall, finishing up in #Leatherhead as the aluminium flashing and additional decking arrived. Here are some photo’s of one of our client’s install - The Theobalds, part of the HQC range. There were a number of bespoke requests for this design but as you can see it looks beautiful and David & the guys have done a fantastic job😍. Which finish looks best? Brushed chrome has always been a client firm favourite for our sockets and switches but having received the Anthracite grey version this morning, I think this is going to be the winner moving forward. What are your thoughts on this cladding? We love Siberian Larch, Western Red cedar and of course our architectural composite cladding but this is a really beautiful, rich timber. This will form part of the front, seating area and back of the garden room we’re building in Chislehurst. The canopy will be in the same timber but a different profile. Recently we popped back to Barnet to check out the completed work. . . . Our client had already chosen Millboard decking and were in the process of having a garden room built by another supplier but were limited by their standard designs, and unable to put their own touch on the design. . . . After meeting with our client and explaining that we also supply Millboard, it was suggested that we match the cladding with the exact colour of the decking. . . . Working alongside their landscaper, we had to wait for the landscaper to complete the project before returning for photos. . . . As your can see the finished project looks amazing and our client is making good use of their gym. . . . As their garden is on a slope we were able to increase the height of the building, allowing for extra head room for weights use and a running machine on an incline. . . . We can’t wait to start this project soon. This design has been taken from our HQC range and enhanced with a beautiful covered seating area to the right-hand-side of the building. The ceiling and wall will be clad in Western Red cedar and will also house a gas fire pit. The main building is huge and will incorporate the following: ✅ Games room ✅ Gym ✅ Sauna ✅ Steam room ✅ Kitchen We’ve worked with the client over several months, tweaking the design, helping to source suppliers for the sauna, steam and gym equipment (& layout). This garden building will form one of 2 garden buildings in the beautiful setting of Burwood Park in Surrey. This is The Theobalds from our HQC range of garden rooms, measuring 8m wide, 5m deep and just under 3m high - no planning required... Our largest build to date, this project has taken a bit longer than had hoped for but we think it’s been worth the wait. Aluminium fascia, flashing, window frames, doors and roof & decking line, coupled with our unique cladding, composite decking and Western Red cedar battens. Internally the flooring is engineered wood, we made a bespoke TV frame, installed Cat6 data, brushed chrome down lights, switches & sockets, and floor to ceiling aluminium windows. What do you think? Today we’ve been getting things prepared for our Ealing job. ✅ Ground screw test complete ✅ Building control approved ✅ Steel frame arrived ✅ Plywood delivered ✅ Aluminium delivered ✅ Plasterboards delivered ✅ Decking delivered ✅ Cladding stored in workshop ✅ Sliding doors made & awaiting delivery ✅ Insulation ordered ✅ Electrics & heating in storage With the help of Luca and Caspar we have been busy bringing in the steel frame for our building. The steel frame, as well as being precision engineered, gives the building additional strength across the deep roof span. This building will be just over 8m wide by 5.5m deep and will sit on ground screws, protecting the roots of 3 trees close by. Although still built under permitted development, we have had to notify Ealing council of the works due to the size of the build (as it’s 40sqm we fall into building regulations). The benefit of having a large garden is that we are able to increase the height from 2.5m to 3m (for a flat roof) by ensuring we are 2m from the boundary. Fantastic video of a recently finished project in Cuffley, Hertfordshire. This is the third design in our CDR range - The Athenia. As you can see from this design, it’s set up as a home gym and looks beautiful. The design is 6m x 3m with an additional 0.5m canopy to the front and decked seating area to the side for a morning coffee. The Athenia is a beautiful design, finished in Western Red Cedar, anthracite grey aluminium sliding, a unique anthracite grey tapered aluminium window and distinctive tapered canopy. Using ground screws to overcome a steep slope, we have been able to provide a decked seating area to the left of the building using a beautiful charcoal composite decking, ideal for the morning sun and a coffee. Both the decking and canopy area are complete with LED lights and an up/down light with a PIR motion detector. Internal spec includes brushed chrome fixtures and fittings, 8 LED down lights, a wall mounted heater and 3 x double sockets, each with 2 x USB ports. This building is able to fit a running machine, weights, cross trainer, rowing machine and Matt area, complete with a 42” smart TV for motivation.
