Me, currently, after yet another abdominal surgery...my 6th in a year, 14th overall, and my 5th emergency (complete with 911 call, ambulances, and a transfer from one hospital to another). Am I setting some kind of record? If so, I'm going for the gold! 👑 Anyway, I'm currently 3.5 days post-op from an emergency oophorectomy/salpingectomy - ovary and fallopian tube (left) removal due to ovarian torsion (my ovary decided to grow a shit-ton of cysts and expand to 6.6cm). Yes, the sudden twisting and death of an organ is as painful as it sounds. I was begging for drugs and surgery and practically cheered when I was finally rolled into the OR six very long hours after calling 911 for help (I was home alone and Dan and my mom were both an hour away). 💊💉🔪 Left photo: post-op swelling has me looking four months pregnant.
