A lot of people ask me: just how many foreign bearded ladies did your dad fuck when he was travelling the world, hoping for any circus that would take him? The answer seems to always be: “one more.” Thanksgiving is busy. My half-brother, Saito Safety-Switch, grew up in a deprived environment. His childhood was spent in opulent comfort, wanting for nothing… except what his genes demanded. His body and mind screamed out for a shitty American car, yet none were available to him in the xenophobic and closed-minded world of Japanese so-called “high society.”
One morning, he was riding his 24-speed race bicycle (affixed with homemade “HUFFY” and “BURGER KING” stickers) past a dingy three-car dealership, shoved into the corner of two pachinko parlours and a restaurant where you could make out with a girl pretending to be a train station ticket dispensing robot for ¥350/hr. That’s when he saw it.
Now, things were worse back then. We didn’t have the Hunter-Killers. The Japanese had not invented the New Atmospheric Miracle. Human nerves were slower than light speed. All he had was a lot of worthless fiat currency in search of Fiats. Or, as he found it, a Dodge Michigan.
The Dodge Michigan is a product of Chrysler Corporation becoming delaminated even more than usual during the Cocaine Era. They thought: Japanese people love front-wheel drive cars. They thought: Japanese people love foreign luxury cars. They thought: we should sell them a 1986 Dodge Aries with fancy tail lights. They were wrong.
It took several months for Saito to convince the shaken inspectors that it was even a real car, ultimately choosing to purchase the inspection corporation through a shell company and having the former executives forcibly uploaded to the Heavens.
Friends: the 2.2 litre iron block shit-stirrer sitting comfortably inside the Michigan as it left its depressing American hometown for the promised land of the Pacific Rim did not last long. “Inefficient,” the tax authorities claimed, and penalized Saito. Here’s the thing about being the adopted child of Japan’s richest bearded-lady fetishist: you’ve had enough “original” for your entire life. It came out. The 13B Mazda rotary from a Roadpacer went in. And just to stick it in Uncle Nippon’s eye, a couple turbochargers. American, of course, built in one of the last surviving sentient manufactories before the Exultation.
By the time the authorities had recovered from their database failure and machine-mind emotional cascade collapse, I was on the ground in Haneda to meet my step-bro for some extremely complicated coffee. I didn’t expect what I’d be getting picked up in.
Somehow, he’d managed to hire folks to Sawzall actual subway hanger straps from the Chicago e-line, complete with the internal structure to retain the rails. It was pasted from stem to stern with imported industrial grit, ground into the carbon fibre’s centimetre thick bass boat clear in lieu of mica flake. And the tires were wide enough, secured in tripled-up Trans Am (the series, not the model) box overfenders, that two members of the Highway Code committee resigned in protest rather than be pushed into making an exception for what Saito’s humourless and unpredictably violent lobby group described as “experimental aircraft.”

Wise Sports Y32 and Y33 Cedric / Gloria
Two patterns of form that give you a sense of ability speak passionately about the sedan.
Wise Sports is an essential brand for dressing up your sedan. The Wise Y32/33 Gran Turismo introduced this time are each equipped with an aero system named Type 2. First, let's look at the Y32.
This car added side steps and a rear bumper spoiler to match the previously announced Type 2 front bumper. As the original front bumper had a relatively mature image, the overall form is also organized along a chic route. But Wise doesn't just stop at simple chic. On the other hand, at first glance, the Y33 Glanz Type 2 gives the impression that it pursues a sportier direction. The front bumper duct has a wide opening, and the center-mounted wing and over fenders, similar to those on a JTCC machine, give the overall image a strong ``driving sedan'' feel. However, it is important to note here that this sporty appearance is not the essence of this car. Use your imagination a little and take a look at the wingless styling. Although the front bumper has a large duct, it is shaped with a sense of volume in mind as a whole, and the side steps are composed of subtle curves so as not to make you think of the narrowness of the normal body. The natural lines of the rear bumper are a perfect match for the VIP finish, which emphasizes volume. This means that the aero can be used in a wide range of finishes, from VIP to sporty finishes, depending on the user's preference. This deep pocket is what makes Wise's cars so special.
There aren't many aero cars that can change their expression depending on the user while maintaining a firm identity as a manufacturer. This Y33 Glanz Type 2 is a representative example of such aero.

In order to neatly organize the Y33, which has a tight body, it is important to treat the side steps and rear bumper. It matches well with the over fender, making it look wider and lower.
The conspicuous wing has a center-mounted racy design. If you just look at this part, it emphasizes the driving aspect of the Granz, but the overall shape is chic and mature, full of status. These Y33 type 2 parts are scheduled to be released around spring 1997.
The combination lamp set on the front bumper is a genuine one. The way the ducts open is also designed to be normal, so it doesn't give the impression of being pointy. Therefore, one of its characteristics is that it looks cohesive.

The spring set for the Y32 is a prototype spring, and I think it will be released around the spring of 1997. It's still under development, so I can't say for sure, but it will be used for NA and turbo. There may be a lineup for cars, so please look forward to it. Also, we will also have a plated version of this Super Wade Mesh. It will shine on a sedan, and the mono wheels look pretty nice. It's decided, so I'd like to have a lot of people set it up, not just Yokohama/Daikoku, Osaka/Nanko."

Side steps (87,000 yen) and rear bumper spoiler (95,000 yen) have been announced based on the front bumper, and the lines are neatly connected. It can be said that it is an aero that you would definitely want to have as a complete set. By the way, the lowering was done using a prototype Wise original spring.

New Mahindra Pik-Up Karoo Special Edition Bakkies Are More Than Good-Looking
Mahindra has three special edition Pik Up models in its Karoo range. They're pretty good-looking, so we've collated some images of the new models.

Mahindra says the new models signify the authenticity of a genuine brand designed around the core needs of customers who need reliable and capable bakkies that enable them to explore even the most challenging terrain.
Named the Pik Up Karoo Dusk, Karoo Dawn and Karoo Storm, the new models will offer many of the same features that made the first edition Karoo Dusk a sell-out success. 
The abilities of the Pik Up have now been enhanced to allow customers to pursue the most challenging terrain and unleash the explorer in them in the most rewarding way.
Rajesh Gupta, Mahindra South Africa CEO, says the Karoo nameplate signifies their commitment to South Africa and the way South Africans have adopted the Pik Up lifestyle range as their desire to 'Unleash The Explorer in You' and enjoy the adventure and family fun. 
"This is equally true of our new Karoo Dawn, Dusk and Storm models, and we are very excited to showcase our range of Authentic Bakkies to our fans and customers."
With its special milestone reached, the growth in production underscores the popularity of the Pik Up range, which has been one of the fastest-growing bakkie brands in the last five years, thanks in no small part to its combination of reliability and capability.
So what's new? 
Firstly, the upgraded Karoo specification is now standard. All three special edition models are built on the upgraded Pik Up Karoo platform and feature new decals. The same goes for the branded Karoo interior carpets, a nudge bar and load bin-mounted sports bar with Karoo detailing.
The cloth seats have been upgraded to leather upholstery, and the infotainment system has been bumped up from a 7" to a large HD 9" system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and in-built maps.
Rugged and refined
Mahindra says all three special Karoo models will be fitted with heavy-duty off-road suspension, off-road tyres, and hardened 4x4 rims, including an additional off-road rim for the spare wheel.
All models also have front and rear steel bumpers for better off-road clearance and are securely anchored to the chassis. They also offer recovery and hitching points for off-road use. The rear step has been trimmed with non-slip diamond plating for easy access to the load bin, and the front bumper is fitted with special LED driving lights.
Load bins are also rubberised, and the rear overfenders give the bakkie a purposeful stance and differentiate each special edition model from its siblings.
Automatic available
All Karoo and Karoo Special Edition models are fitted with Mahindra's mHawk 2.2 turbodiesel engine, which delivers 103kW at 3 750rpm and a solid 320Nm in a broad power band between 1 500r/min and 2 800r/min.
In the Special Edition models, buyers are treated to the new six-speed Aisin automatic transmission, making it the perfect stand-out bakkie for every type of user. This transmission was extensively tested in South Africa before its global launch on the Pik Up Karoo S11 in 2020.
All Karoo Dusk, Karoo Storm and Karoo Dawn models are sold with a four-year or 120 000km mechanical warranty and a five-year or 90 000 km service plan.

N2 and N1 Silvia users come together and engage in a heated battle here at Suzuka and Fuji. Will Manabu Orido continue to be fierce this year?
The Super Silvia Champion Cup Series, which can be called the championship match for Silvia users, has already entered its third season since its inception. Full N2 regulations have now been introduced, but before that, races were held with a slightly smaller scope of modifications. At the time, it didn't even have overfenders, and other than the lowered ride height, it was hard to tell it apart from the N1 spec. However, the race, which was essentially a prototype, reignited the tuning car race, which had been on the decline for a while.
The appeal of the N2 machine is, first of all, that it allows for a wide range of modifications. This made it possible to significantly improve the vehicle's combat power, but this not only provided the driver with the joy of driving fast, but also provided the creator with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills to the fullest. This created a virtuous cycle and brought back vitality to the N2 class of the Freshman Trophy (now Clubman) here at Suzuka.
The hero that appeared there was Manabu Orido. Orido, who is a former Drifcon (drift control contest) and trained at Fuji, drove a Corolla Levin in 1993, his first year at Suzuka. Although he did not participate in the Freshman Trophy the following year, he finally took the wheel of a Silvia in the newly established Super Silvia Champion Cup. However, that year was sluggish. Orido used that frustration as fuel for the following year in 1995, completely dominating the four-race series. At the opening race here in Suzuka exactly one year ago, he finished with a huge difference of 1 minute 22 seconds over second place, which shows just how fast he is. Of course, he held record times at Suzuka and Fuji, where two races were held each. Even in the Freshman Trophy, where he made a comeback, he did not win the championship because he could not participate in all the races, but he still had a good performance with 3 wins in 4 races (including 2nd place behind Seijiro Sawa's GT Skyline).

Orido's goal in this qualifying round is to further beat the 2:19.804 he set in the final race of last year's Freshman Trophy. Given favorable climatic conditions, Orido has become even stronger on the big stage, and its renewal is not a dream. Of course, the appeal of the Silvia is that it is a FR drive. However, if you let the tail flow more than necessary, it is just a loss of time.
