Friendly Reminder that the religion is called Hellenic Polytheism and you are a Hellenic Polytheist.
It is not Hellenism, Hellenismos, Hellenistic Polytheism and you are not a Hellenist or Hellenic.

I think for beginners in pagan spaces it is important to note the differences between UPG, SPG and VPG. There is a lot of all of this in pagan and religious spaces and it necessary to discern when something is one of the three! When some shares info with you about a god or a practice, make sure to figure out if its is one of these three: UPG: "A spirit told me this and it kinda works for me" SPG: "I shared my UPG with others who work with the same spirit and it kinda works for them too" VPG: "A spirit told me a thing and I did research and confirmed through reliable sources that it was something that people in the past made use of" You can do this by looking for sources to verify the information (like books or articles for VPG or other people for SPG) or asking the person who shared the information directly. Vetting your sources is important in a religion that heavily based on research. (UPG, SPG and VPG can be applied to any practice and religion so this isnt just for the HelPol peeps)
You should never have only one source! Always keeps looking for confirmations!
