The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has rolled out the blue carpet welcoming star guests for its 63rd edition, but it also has an eye on the future. “Were always working towards expanding and developing the festival. Each year, we get better and better,” executive director Cécile Menoni says. Listing “fabulous highlights,” Menoni gushes over this year’s Crystal Nymph winner: Morgan Freeman. The award recognizes the “stellar body of work” of the veteran actor, who recently exec produced “The Gray House,” which celebrated its world premiere Friday at the opening ceremony. Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis and Ben Vereen attended. “It’s such a thrill for us to honor him,” Menoni says. The fest will also take a closer look at rising stars, with “Bridgerton’s” Simone Ashley given the International Golden Nymph for most promising talent. Honorary Golden Nymph – “Our festival’s highest accolade” – will go to “true fan favorite” Olivier Marchal. The French actor – and former policeman – is known for “36th Precinct.” He also created the cop series “Braquo.” “It has always been important for our festival to attract big stars and their shows. Right from the very beginning, it has been crucial to appeal to both local and global fans. We certainly have an expanded fan contingent these days, because we make sure they are well-served with a variety of events enabling them to get close to and meet their favorite stars.” That includes “selfie sessions” with “Chronicles of the Sun” team, autograph sessions with “Chicago Med,” “FBI” and “Law & Order” cast members and meetings with soap celebs from “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.” To spotlight its 50th anniversary, “Little House on the Prairie” will host a special Anniversary Tea Party, says Menoni, while “NCIS” team Michael Weatherly, Wilmer Valderrama, Cote De Pablo and Brian Dietzen will mark the 1,000th episode of the series. “We have a long list of amazing talent joining us, including Lee Jung-jae who will be in Monaco to support the launch of Lucasfilm’s ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ on Disney+,” she adds. “Buffy” alumnus David Boreanaz, also seen in “SEAL Team” and “Bones,” will return to the fest, this time as the president of the fiction jury.
“We can’t wait to see who they will select. We just know they will be the best of the best as the final selections are all extremely strong this year,” Menoni says. Taking a break from the glamour, the event will encourage conversations about the ever-changing industry landscape during Business Content sessions, addressing the impact of 2023 strikes, A.I. controversies – and the new tools it provides – as well as changes in international co-productions. “We have a great lineup,” she says, mentioning “in-depth panel discussions on important and timely subjects,” from “Bringing the World to Light Through TV Drama” to “New Narratives for Documentaries: The Blur Between Reality & Fiction.” Unsurprisingly, many “emotional documentaries” will be featured as well, including “Ukraine’s War: The Other Side,” “Ukrainian Chronicles,” “Broken Dreams,” “Lie to Me,” “Uvda: Table for Eight” and “Mines of Death,” while “stellar” official selection includes four world premieres: “Madam” with Rachel Griffiths (produced by Tavake and XYZ Films), “Alone at Sea” (High Sea Production), “Night Therapy” (Yes TV) and German offering “Der Heimweg” (Ziegler Films). “The Law of the Sea,” “The Good Wife” spinoff “Elsbeth,” “Little Did I Know,” “Helgoland 513” and “The Gathering” will be screened for the first time in France. “It’s always interesting to see how an audience responds. I find it difficult to watch [with them] sometimes, but I let other people tell me how they reacted,” “The Gathering” actor Vinette Robinson says with a laugh. “There is nothing like the live, collective response. It’s unusual for television, but it can really heighten how the piece hits. To come to Monte Carlo, to have such a local, British show and see how universal it really is… It widens the audience.” Martina Haag, “Little Did I Know” creator and director, agrees: “Showcasing your film or series and engaging with viewers directly can help boost the visibility and success of your show. Viewers who have a positive interaction with the creators and cast are more likely to become enthusiastic promoters. Also, festivals are fun and vibrant events where the hard work of the cast and crew is recognized and appreciated.” “All these special events highlight the accessibility and relevance of the festival, which continues to be a must-attend event for worldwide talent, producers, writers, distributors, streamers, industry professionals and, of course, the public,” Menoni sums up. “We hope this year’s edition delivers on its promise of celebrating the very best programming from around the world and, looking to the future of the entertainment industry, [figuring out] how it can continue to entertain, inspire and educate people throughout the globe.”

Los Autonautas - Balcón India (Chant Records)
Los Autonautas came together after a private concert in Argentina featuring New York-based musicians Daniele Germani (alto sax, originally from Italy) and Juan Chiavassa (drums, originally from Argentina) and Buenos Aires-based Lucas Goicochea (alto sax), Juan Bayon (bass), and Nathaniel Edelman (piano). From the first moment playing together, the chemistry among the musicians was so strong that on the they immediately decided to record an album to document their fortuitous meeting. The resulting album, Balcón India, includes compositions from each individual musician plus a classic by Sonny Rollins, but it’s really in the collective performance that the sparks really fly. Sometimes great music collaborations develop over many years, and sometimes, like in the case of Los Autonautas, they happen in an instant. Lucky for the musicians and listeners, the mics were hot and the tape (or its digital equivalent) was running when the magic happened. Members of Los Autonautas have worked with jazz luminaries including John Patitucci, Terence Blanchard, Kenny Werner, Bob Moses, Pablo Ziegler, Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, Dave Kikoski and Tim Berne.

DWTS 27 Week 4 - trios night!
So weird having trios in week four. It’s permanently ingrained in my memory as a week 8-ish thing.
Also they are dancing with former contestants or some other celebs......and some of the assignments are so random.
Juan Pablo and Cheryl with Melissa Rycroft - Cha cha So I was in school when DWTS was airing and saw Juan Pablo trending on Twitter... I must say I expected better. I thought Juan Pablo wasn’t given a lot of cha cha content and the ladies were dancing around him most of the dance. His hip action from last week seemed to have gone missing. I thought the choreo complemented the music very well, especially with a bass like that. The opening was nice, but it never peaked. 8-8-8 T24
Tinashe and Brandon with Amy Purdy - Tango I have the feeling they asked Amy back on the possibility of Danelle making it to this week. And then when Danelle didn’t, they just spun the bottle and it landed on Tinashe. I think this dance was pulled down by the song. I thought Brandon did decent with the choreo, bar the middle section where he danced with Amy then Tinashe one by one. The part where he got on the table I was like...meh...but then he started doing the tango footwork with Amy and Tinashe doing it in front of it - that was a nice visual. Tinashe and Amy were both sharp and clean. Also the tables reminded me of how Derek used a table in so many of Amy’s dances. 9-8-9 T26
John and Emma with Joey Fatone - Argentine Tango ooooooooooooh this was an interesting dance. Interesting concept by Emma but I didn’t always see it in the dance. I thought John had intensity and intention with his movements. Still could be more polished though. It was pretty cool when the crowd started rousing with they threw Emma. ANother dance with weird music assignment though. I nearly spit out my milk when I heard the opening notes because this music has a funny story with my own dance experience. I honestly didn’t notice the hair mishap. 7-7-7 T21
Evanna and Keo with Scarlett Byrne - Salsa I’ll admit I didn’t recognise Scarlett until they mentioned who they played. Another dance with a weird song - this seems to be a theme tonight. I thought Evanna (and Scarlett too) could have been more grounded. Evanna looked way more happy and bright (and she is already a happy and bright person) with Scarlett around. Some parts of the dance felt more like a show-dance-jazzy number than a dance dance. 8-8-8 T24
Demarcus and Lindsay with Rashad Jennings - Paso Doble How To Make An Entrance 101 by Rashad Jennings. Step 1: break their finger. Yikes. And Demarcus was just like ‘yo Shad pull it back into place’ and Shad just did it. I feel Lindsay, I would have been screaming in the corner. I think Rashad was probably the best person Demarcus could get - another football player, former champion, still takes dance classes. But Demarcus also has to match up to him. I think he fell behind on refinery. It took him a while to get the intensity needed, and he was kinda stompy. That one move where Rashad spun Lindsay into Demarcus’ hold...WHOA. I also liked the set-up with the lockers and revolving camera. 7-7-8 T22
Ah Shawn Johnson, who has the most memorable trio ever in my memory.
Mary Lou and Sasha with Nastia Liukin - Charleston Aye it’s kinda cute how Nastia and Sasha have kept close since season 20. Weird song number??? Anyone keeping count? I thought Sasha did some interesting thing with the cartwheels. But idk, the dance felt kinda jumpy?? I’m chalking it up to the song. 9-8-9 T26 wait what? I feel like this was way overscored. It didn’t feel more then a 22-24 dance.
Milo and Witney with Riker Lynch - Salsa I like how they all ended up wearing white tops. OH RIKER thanks for reminding me about your salsa :) Wow this dance was TIGHT! They were so in sync. The transitions between each moves were seamless. I felt groove and attitude. Milo’s musicality was great. This was also the first dance where I felt like all 3 of them were a unit together. Even when Witney was only in hold with one of the guys, the other one was dancing full out right next to them, and not just doing something slower in the background. It was so dynamic. 10-9-10 T29 YES!!!
Joe and Jenna with Jordan Kymbale - Salsa hahahahahahahaha so this dance was terrible - Jordan is about as good a dancer as Joe. But it was really funny to see Joe try. Kudos to Jordan though for being smart enough to let his shirt go when he couldn’t get it out all the way. The problem with bringing a random celeb who hasn’t been a former contestant is that they might not be able to dance, as in Jordan’s case, which makes things harder for the pro. Jenna tried. At least she managed to squeeze out something entertaining in a weird way. 5-5-5 T15 I was sure Len would pull out a 4.
Alexis and Alan with Maddie Ziegler - Tango so I thought maybe Alexis knew Maddie because they are both young people but it was only because of the sia song. LOL I used to have a dance teacher who loved to give long speeches about how dance teachers like to say “do it again” or “one more time”. Okay, this song wasn’t too bad for the style, but it might have been too intense because Alexis looked out of control many times. Even Maddie seemed kind of flaily at times. Alan put some paso doble and AT into it, both of which the dance might have suited better. The whole thing just looked really hectic. 8-8-9 T25 Bruno’s 9 was high. straight 8s would have done it.
Bobby “BB Hammer” and Sharna with Lindsey Stirling - Cha cha Bobby looked like he was having a blast. It was fun, but there wasn’t too much cha cha content. I saw a couple of missteps. Everyone went wild though. 7-6-7 T20
Jeopardy - Evanna and Tinashe.
When Evanna was called, it hit me how stocked this season is. There was only one real low fruit hanging, between fan bases and actual dance ability. Things are gonna get really hard from now on.
Eliminated - Tinashe. Such a shame. She has so much potential, and is a great dancer.

WEEK 4 RECAP: Trios Night October 15, 2018

This week the couples were asked to perform a trio with an all-star, a friend from home, or in Alexis and Alan’s case Maddie Ziegler. Why? Because why not. Producers are feeling frisky and concepts are being explored all at once. The takeaway tonight was Bachelor Nation is powerful and we need to make sure they vote for the right candidate this midterm election. Joe is still in the game despite his complete lack of timing and it’s thanks to his fans. Is there a point in keeping Joe still? Bachelor Nation, you’re voting for him out of brand loyalty, but at what cost? My sanity? Joe reached his peak weeks ago and it’s time to get real. Vote for Milo, Evanna, Len Goodman, anyone! Just stop voting for Joe.
Dances
Juan Pablo featuring Melissa Rycroft | cha cha | 8 8 8
Juan Pablo and pro Cheryl were paired with All-Stars winner Melissa Rycroft. This cha cha had a lot moments of just Juan Pablo pounding the air. We get it, you can swivel your hips.
Tinashe featuring Amy Purdy | tango | 9 9 9
Is this a Kavanaugh hearings inspired tango? At the end the jury raised a sign that said “guilty.” I’m just saying! Here is the thing with Tinashe and other stars that come with dance experience. They come polished and trained. They can’t grow week to week because they’re already dancers. If a dancer does come on the show they need to play the game with storytelling, like Lindsey Stirling, and I don’t know what her journey is yet. Heck, Tinashe’s Willy Wonka bob gave me more to talk about than her journey.

John featuring Joey Fatone | Argentine Tango | 7 7 7
John and Emma get assisted by Asterisk NSYNCer Joey Fatone in an Argentine Tango where they play space commanders in Ancient Greece? I’m confused by the concept. Hair caught in zipper incident aside, this was an ambitious number with too much on its plate.
Evanna featuring Scarlett Byrn | salsa | 8 8 8
This week they’re aided by Harry Potter co-star and friend Scarlett Byrn. I knew when I saw Scarlett wrongly breaking the fourth wall that she was going to be trouble. In the package I noticed Scarlett suffers from Caucasianitis. For just 15 cents you can sponsor a patient suffering from this condition. I was hoping it wouldn’t hinder their saucy salsa, but it did. Second-runner up Janell Parrish would’ve been a great fit.
Demarcus featuring Rashad Jennings | paso doble | 7 7 8
A pretty nominal paso set on football field to a OneRepublic-sounding song. Nothing much to say, so let’s talk about Demarcus’ finger! When season 24 winner Rashad Jennings entered rehearsal Demarcus and Rashad had a greeting (that totally wasn’t practiced 27 times) so epic that Demarcus broke his finger. The good news is his finger is fine now. The even better news is surviving an injury improves your chances of winning by 12%.
Mary Lou featuring Nastia Liukin | charleston | 9 8 9
In the package Mary Lou talked about how she is having a hard time not comparing herself to others because her career depended on being perfect. “I don’t need to win the Olympics in everything I do.” Thanks for giving us a quote worthy of Pinterest. Something clicked this week for this couple and the scores were stellar. You all know how I feel about Joe, but I would understand if Mary Lou left next week because she had the breakthrough all contestants dream of.
Milo featuring Riker Lynch | salsa | 10 9 10
Dance soulmates Milo and Riker assisted Witney in a salsa very derivative of Jordan, Corbin and Lindsay’s trio salsa to Meryl and Maks’ salsa song. This could’ve gotten a perfect score if I hadn’t seen it before.

Joe featuring Jordan Kimball | salsa | 5 5 5
While everyone else was paired with a somewhat competent dancer, Joe was paired with a Bachelor colleague who is shockingly worse than him. A second into the dance Jordan’s tareaway didn’t tare completely defeating the purpose of dancing to “I’m Too Sexy.” I guess Jordan wasn’t too sexy for his shirt. About the dance, Joe and Jordan jigged and flailed like drunk aunts doing the YMCA. Luckily, the boys provided a chemistry class safety shower to wash our eyes with. Evanna, can you spare a spell to forget this dance?

Alexis featuring Maddie Ziegler | tango | 8 8 9
This was the palate cleanser I deserved. I’m not mad at it! I liked the spins, the charisma, and the frame, but it was missing some signature tango elements. I think Alexis suffered being paired with a dancer of Maddie’s caliber. There was no way she could ever match her lines and she was upstaged.
Bobby feauturing Lindsay Stirling | cha cha | 7 6 7
A quirky cha cha to “U Can’t Touch This.” Has MC Hammer done the show? He should. We all know he could use the money. Caroline Rhae of Sabrina The Teenage Witch fame is in the audience. She should do the show. I’m talking about everything but this dance and that’s not good. Lindsey Stirling deserved better.
Tom Bergeron Quip of the Night
“It’s Marie Osmond all over again,” says Tom after Joey Fatone fakes fainting. Marie Osmond fainted on Dancing With The Stars.
Len Goodman Zinger of the Night
To Juan Pablo: “Your bottom is the tops.” This is not even the first time Len has made a comment about Juan Pablo’s butt.
Jeopardy
Evanna and Tinashe
Elimination
Tinashe and her partner Brandon were eliminated.
JOE LASTED LONGER THAN TINASHE. I was heartbroken at first, but then I ate a twinkie dipped in kerosene and it numbed the pain for a bit. How could this happen? I recommend you read this article Dance Network wrote on the factors that went into this elimination. My take? Girls, get the V For Vendetta mask because we are voting for Milo and Evanna from 12,000 different VPNs.
Observations
Joey Fatone has tape on his hat during rehearsal. It could be to cover up a logo, but I want to think he is doing research to play a railroad tramp
If I see that “Oh oh oh ozempic” commercial while watching the show one more time I s2g
They apologized for mistakenly listing the wrong number for John so I wonder who they actually voted for
“You’ve got guns but not always the ammunition.” That’s Len’s burn of the night
Evanna and Scarlett’s lighting bolt on their costume screamed “WE WERE IN HARRY POTTER DO YOU REMEMBER THAT?”
Bruno fanning Len while Len gathered his critiques about Joe’s trio

Dancing with the Stars, Season 27, Recap #4
Earlier this week, my boyfriend - who does not watch Dancing with the Stars OR is one of my faithful four readers, alerted me of a DWTS “gruesome finger injury”. This aforementioned finger injury was DeMarcus Ware’s; I was hoping it wasn’t one of those freak ring avulsions. Will he still be able to toss Lindsay like she’s Freddie Prinze Jr’s hacky sack in “She’s All That”? I mean, with the help of Rashad Jennings, they can probably throw her to the moon, LIVE on DANCING WITH THE STARS TRIO NIGHT!
Juan Pablo Pace had a perfect week last week, but as I watched his dance with guest, Melissa Rycroft, I was thinking to myself that Len is going to hate this. The song was good, the dance content seemed good but everything felt off. I guess Len sort of kind of liked it, but Juan Pablo still got straight 8’s. Also, there was an overload of beaded pubes with their costumes.
Seeing Tinashe in the red tux made me fantasize about myself, looking like Bella Swan-Cullen in Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, walking down the aisle to my groom, Tinashe, awaiting to swoop me off to a private island where we can finally consummate our love. Despite being enamored by her look, I felt like the dance was off too but the judges liked it so, again, what do I know?
Despite the hair extension SNAFU in the beginning, I kind of liked John Schneider’s dance but I think it was because Joey Fatone looked like he should be in System of a Down.
Evanna Lynch had Scarlett Byrne AKA “Pansy Parkinson” as her trio partner and she was good enough that I thought she was on Strictly Come Dancing but per my Google search, she’s just naturally good at dancing. The glitter pubes struck back with Scarlett’s costume, but this time, it was like 2 weeks post a Brazilian wax and you have a couple long strands coming back. Overall, I thought their dance was cute but deserving of their scores.
As I mentioned earlier, DeMarcus Ware suffered a “gruesome finger injury” but it turns out it was caused by being kicked by Rashad Jennings during a chest bump! That is gnarly! DeMarcus even asked Rashad to pop his finger back in! BLEGHHH!!!! If there is one thing I hate is watching sports injuries, it just gives me the jeebies!!! Len called their Paso Doble “flimsy” but I think the only thing “flimsy” about their dance was DeMarcus’ finger.
Mary Lou Retton danced a cute Charleston with Nastia Lukin. I don’t usually pay attention to music lyrics but the words caught my attention, “I don’t want no veggies! I don’t want no pickles!”. This makes me think that the writer of this song probably had scurvy. Milo Manheim danced with Ryker Lynch. I’d be lying if I said that I knew who he was, but he could dance the salsa pretty well. Honestly, I think that the only reason Len took off a point from their near-perfect scores was Milo and Ryker’s unfortunate bandanas.
Over the last week, I made the decision that I never wanted to watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette again, but I can’t get away from that damn show when they keep having contestants and suitors as “celebrities” on DWTS. I thought I could avoid ever thinking about Model Jordan but just like the antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea strain that he is, I have to endure seeing him on my screen one more time. Not even Jenna’s amazing abs could save this mess. Bruno called this “tragic Mike” and he hit that on the head, it was tragic. Now can Jordan go do Celebrity Big Brother and never come back? Oh yeah, this dance was about Grocery Store Joe, which I totally forgot about through my Model Jordan rage.
Alexis Ren and Maddie Ziegler looked like twins with long necks in their tango. Similarly to Kenzie in Dancing with the Stars Jr., Maddie failed to mention that you may know her as Broadway Baby’s mom AKA Abby Lee Miller’s protege from Dance Moms. I guess that Maddie’s other amazing accolades are worth mentioning, but I’ll never forget one of my favorite shows and the infamous “Maddie face” from Dance Moms. I liked their rainbow tango, but the judges thought it was disjointed. Again, I’m a broken record, but what do I know?
Why is Bobby Bones always performing last? Do they just want him to freak out? I thought he was doing a good job and was about to award him a gold star for good behavior until he freaked during the judges' critiques. I have a fantasy that Sharna is going to drag him off the stage by the ear, but she’s probably too nice for that.
Evanna Lynch and Tinashe were in the bottom! I’m so mad! JUST GIVE THEM A CHANCE! I said during the first week of the competition that Tinashe was probably not going to win despite being the total package because I couldn’t picture her getting the votes that she needed. Well, at least I’ll always have the image of Tinashe in a red tux in my mind’s eye. Until next week, my faithful four readers XOXO

The “Juniors” cast will then complete a performance to DNCE’s “Dance.” Additionally, the “Juniors” pros will also perform a dance to “Born Ready” (by Disco Fries featuring Hope Murphy). Both numbers will be choreographed by Mandy Moore.
Each “Dancing with the Stars” couple will prepare a jive, cha cha, foxtrot, salsa or quickstep. At the end of the night, one couple will be eliminated.
Each couple will prepare dances to the following songs (in alphabetical order):
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten – Jive – “Shake the Room” by Gamu
Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess – Jive – “Gimme Some Lovin’” by The Spencer Davis Group
Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev – Foxtrot – “Strong Ones” by Armin van Buuren featuring Cimo Fränkel
DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold – Cha Cha – “I Like It (Like That)” by The Blackout Allstars
Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe – Foxtrot – “Rewrite the Stars” by Zac Efron & Zendaya
Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile and Jenna Johnson – Quickstep – “Check It Out” by Oh the Larceny
John Schneider and Emma Slater – Foxtrot – “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat “King” Cole
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke – Salsa – “Tu Sonrisa” by Elvis Crespo
Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber – Cha Cha – “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer
Milo Manheim and Witney Carson – Cha Cha – “Good Feeling” by Austin French
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy – Quickstep – “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina & The Waves
Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko – Salsa – “Tres Deseos” by Gloria Estefan
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong – Jive – “Yes” by Merry Clayton
For Tuesday’s show, which airs at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT on Sept. 25, the eliminated couple will be determined based on that night’s judges’ scores, along with the previous night’s judges’ scores and viewer votes, along with the results of a live viewer vote during the live broadcast of the show. Fans can vote online during the live broadcast in the Eastern and Central time zones at www.DWTSLiveVote.com. The live viewer vote will open after all of the eligible couples have finished their dances and will remain open for approximately five minutes before the elimination is revealed.

Hanzo's eyes narrowed as he re-read the paragraphs in the article.
"What happened to McCree over the next three years is a disconcerting mystery. There are no records of schooling, or anything else that might shine a light on those missing years of his childhood. He seemed to disappear completely.
"And then, when he was twelve years old, McCree re-appeared with no explanation. He officially joined the ranks of Deadlock, and Earl Cooper paraded him around at his side like a proud father. By the time McCree was thirteen, Cooper had already given him the title of 'Deadeye.'"
Hanzo liked to think that it was McCree's strange "Deadeye" ability that made his dragons stir within him whenever he was near the man; that McCree was intriguing merely because he was such a mystery - one he ached to solve. But Hanzo was no longer as adept at self-deception as he was in the past, and he knew he was in trouble.
