She finds the heart doodled in the margins of page 68. Running her hands across it, she smiles. He told her that he left a message somewhere in the book. It was sweet and just like him.

 

They are to be wed in a month ‘s time. The book is a guide to Christian marriage. Their pastor presented it in their pre-marital counseling. He read it first then presented it to her.

 

The heart is perfectly placed, in the section that deals with working through hard times. A reminder that his love will stay strong and that His would.

I finally posted an update! It only took a year and two months.

I think I procrastinated so much because I just wasn't happy with this page. It's eh. I honestly wanna get through this chapter and onto the next one already. Or maybe I just want this scene to end.

I guess sometimes you just gotta post the ugly pages and move on otherwise you'll be stuck regretting for ages. Haha, like I did.

Oh and I haaaaate procreate. It makes some aspects of doing these pages easier but on the other hand it takes so much longer. I spend way too long fixing every little thing. I gotta stop. I'll never get done with this chapter if I keep going like this but I don't currently have a scanner and I think some of my markers are dried out. UGH. Maybe, maybe I can try something else. It feels bad to keep experimenting with this chapter but I need to find something that works or I'll just procrastinate again.

Also because people are potentially thinking I'm just focusing on the similar color schemes with the yarn and the flowers, no. Spoilers for later novel stuff (at least later than episode 122):

For Hyunje's first birthday post-regression, Yoojin gifts him pink dungeon yarn as a massive joke. It becomes a recurring gag between them (mostly Hyunje, who brings it back with a vengeance), with Hyunje knitting various items out of it - sometimes gifting them to Yoojin - and at one point even appearing as a sentient ball of pink yarn. He even decorates his private plane in pink specifically for Yoojin.
