PATTERN: I made the pattern on Pocahontas's top simple, vertical and not symmetrical. The shapes reference Native American and UK patterns. The vertical lines and arrows are about looking up, getting up and being lifted up; they add to the sense of her strength, peace and spirituality in this painting.
