Gonna answer these for BG3 Dhamari:

1 - Does OC have recurring themes in their nightmares? Why? Are they aware of the 'why'?

This is such opportune timing on this because I was just musing over Dhamari’s nightmare situation the other day!

Does ‘trauma’ count as a theme? Cos he’s got a lot of that - mostly unacknowledged - from his life in the Underdark/drow society. But there’s an added twist now, which was unintentional on my part until I decided to just run with it - he also has prophetic dreams. The most concrete example is from my fic, where among other things he dreams about what it might be like if Gale were to use the orb and blow himself up.

The catch is, Dhamari only dreams of possibilities, of potential futures, nothing definite. And these potentials are usually so tangled up with events from his past or just random brain imagery, that Dhamari doesn’t recognise them for what they are. Occasionally, something will happen and then he’ll remember he dreamt of it weeks or months back, and he’ll sort of squint internally and then go ‘nahhh coincidence’ and carry on without dwelling on it. He’s not much of an overthinker xD

I haven’t yet decided if this is an effect of being tadpole’d, or if it’s more of a general Dhamari thing. But either way I like the idea of him having these bare glimpses of the future and not being aware enough to do anything about it :3

2 - If your OC was to overhear their name in a conversation; what would they assume the conversation is about? Why? Is this assumption accurate?

I don’t think Dhamari would pay much attention honestly. If it’s anyone in the majority of the party, especially early on in the game, he’d likely assume it was something negative about him, given his normal demeanour and behaviour (unfriendly, and he’s well aware of it).

Later, if the speaker is someone whose opinion he actually cares about - Gale, of course, or perhaps Wyll or Jaheira - he’d actually make a point of closing his ears to the conversation, because overall he’d still assume it was something negative about him and he’d rather not hear it. His faith in someone else’s good opinion remains extremely fragile for quite a while, and when he finds it, he’s fearful of having it tarnished. But hey, Dhamari, you should listen in more often - you’ll hear a lot more good about yourself than you expect.

3 - There’s a spider, cockroach, silverfish, or some other nasty bug in your OC’s house/room/apartment/etc.! How do they deal with it? Do they squish it? Capture it to release it outside? Scream and run for the hills? Leave it? Something else entirely?

Growing up in drow society means it’s still deeply ingrained in Dhamari to not harm spiders. If one of the larger varieties attacks him, his survival takes precedence, but if it’s just a little one creeping around, he’ll ignore it. Other bugs and pests he’ll squish freely without a second thought, he’s not squeamish at all about that.

1. What is your OC’s preferred/favourite environment? Bustling or serene, filled with people or totally alone? Do they like being out in nature or surrounded by technology etc? Do they have a favourite climate/weather type?

2. What’s something your OC is often conflicted about? A choice they made, their place or purpose in the world, a relationship they have with someone, etc? How does this conflict manifest, and how do they deal with it, if at all?

3. Does your OC have an object that’s particularly important to them? Why is it special? Do they carry it with them, or if not, where do they keep it? How would they react if it were lost/stolen/destroyed?

absolutely will not have time for all the prompts but dang it I'm going to at least do some, badly, and have fun with it!

I like @parseolegacy's idea of using these as an excuse to loredump so have A'la'zena's adopted noncanon child. To summerize the background, A'la'zena is my Imperial Agent and after her class story she noped out of Imperial Intelligence and went radio silent, taking the Black Codex with her. Then she had the brilliant idea to rebuild the Star Cabal, but more grassroots and Chaotic Good - essentially, a galaxy-wide secret organization that gives good people the resources to stand up to tyranny and help people. I call it Space Illuminati 2.0 but I'm sure in universe it has a better name

So yeah this idea I've been tossing around is what if they end up adopting a baby? The explanation for how that happened is a Whole Thing™ that will take too long to explain but suffice it to say that Vector and A'la'zena end up raising a Miraluka girl and that kid is going to have literally the least normal childhood possible.

Said childhood includes training lots and lots of different skills, because A'la never got a choice herself so her strategy here is to give the kid all the tools she needs and then step back and let her do whatever she chooses with them. And the kid is wildly Force-sensitive, so with great trepidation A'la reaches out to the only force-user she trusts (Periflynn) to train her how to use her force powers as well.

Even though she trusts Periflynn, this whole thing is still definitely very hard for A'la'zena, for a lot of reasons. She is deeply, deeply suspicious of Force-users in general. She wants to understand and control everything, and the Force is something for which she can do neither. All she can do is sit back and watch her kid doing something that she doesn't understand and remind herself over and over that if you give someone freedom it has to come with the risk that they will choose something that you don't want.

Anywho we'll see if I do any more of these 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@terrific-fish this is literally the funniest thing that’s ever happened to me. When I made him two years ago I was so obsessed with Jed I was like “we should just tell everyone he’s real.” So me and my irls would have this recurring bit where we’d say he was our favorite character. And now people don’t even tag him as an oc. They’ll just tag Jed Solaris. I’m in awe that this has even happened, I’m so proud of my stupid stupid son. Thank you for literally making my evening yesterday I cannot get over it.

@certified-anakinfucker More hairstyles would be amazing. And unlocking some of the ones that are gender/species bound would be nice, too.

@parseolegacy Yes! I've wanted to play a Zabrak, but the hairstyles available were always so lackluster for me. Same with the Cathar.

@atekkalegacy I hadn't meant for the numbers to indicate what I wanted more over others, just to separate my thoughts. Lol. This made me realize that's how some people would see it. Whoops. It was late, and I was a little high when I decided to write this up. My bad! XD However, I can see them updating the graphics, or at least the textures, more easily than other stuff. There are usually times when the art team has downtime, but then they may have them designing new armor to sell on the market, 'cause money. I still see it being far more feasible than most else. Cutscenes I could see them slowly doing--the recent update gives me hope for that. -crosses fingers-

These are just a few things I'd like to see in the game--are they all going to be something feasible or would the devs actually get around to doing them? Doubtful, but one can hope. 1. Having the option to New Game + the storyline. You can do this for KotFE and KotEE, but NOTHING ELSE. I'd love to be able to play through the whole storyline again without having to make a new character. 2. Calling your romance option to your room. *wink wink* Or having a repeatable cutscene where you can go on a date, or some other little thing that's not story related. Let me smooch Theron when I want! 3. Unlocking dyes in the collections...(not going to happen. Dyes are more than likely one of the biggest money makers. Bleh.) 4. Cross faction grouping. I know a lot of people who don't have characters on the opposite faction, this would make doing group activates sooo much easier for people. (plus less bouncing around the gear ;-; ) 5. Updated graphics. It is so very strange see my character, Lana, and someone like Tau or Sa'har side by side--they feel like they're from a different games sometimes. 6. Updating the old cutscenes. Only reason I'm putting this here is because the updated the intro quest cutscene on Coruscant and Dromond Kaas. I'm hoping they might do that for the origin storyline at the very least.

Confused, tense now, Scourge shoved aside the lingering fog of sleep - that too was a still-unusual sensation, the grasp of slumber deeper than mere rest - and wrenched open his eyes. He was met by a muss of silver hair. Some stray locks were spread across his skin, but most were tangled around the familiar head currently laid upon his chest. The head of the man with whom the once-Emperor’s Wrath now shared his bed, his heart - and most notably, it seemed, his body heat, which Scourge suspected was the ultimate reason why he was lying here with the Commander of the Galactic Alliance sprawled across him like an unconscious human blanket. The Sith exhaled in understanding and allowed himself to relax. It wasn’t the first time Caspian had decided to use his partner’s considerable girth as a mattress, but it was the first time Scourge had woken up to it, and he had to concede to being taken off guard. He was still unaccustomed to sleeping in the same room as someone else, let alone in the same bed.
