I’m stealing this post I saw on twitter
Basically if you compare arjuna and karna’s faces side by side from how pako drew them for the pasela resorts art you can actually see that even though they’ve got pretty similar features there are some differences
Namely arjuna has fuller lips and thicker eyebrows and karna’s chin is slightly sharper

Welcome to the Eorzea Cafe!
Weary wanderers, heroes of light. Rest your world-worn bodies and souls in the seats of the Eorzea Cafe, and grab you a bite to remind you of home.
The Eorzea Cafe is a theme cafe in Japan themed off of the MMO game, Final Fantasy 14. Based inside of the Pasela Resort buildings, this restaurant has multiple chains in different parts of Japan, specifically Akihabara and Osaka with pop-up restaurants, and each location is themed off of a place in Eorzea (Akihabara is Gridania, Osaka is Ul’dah, and temporary locations include Yokohama as Limsa Lominsa, Kyoto as Kugane and Nagoya as Norvrandt).
Due to my location and income, I personally don’t have a lot of wiggle room to visit any of the temporary or alternate locations. Therefor, my experiences and reviews will be coming out of the Akihabara location! There’s a couple of other caveats to my reviews, but I’ll detail that in a different post.
For those who are curious about getting in and trying some of Eorzea’s goods for themselves, I’ll put info below. While the system of getting reservations used to be complicated and involve a lot of third party ticket purchasing, now reserving is as simple as going to the website and going through the steps. Really refreshing!
Looking forward to seeing you there, Warriors! May you walk in the Light of the Crystal.

Hi, guys. I was kinda dumb about it and forgot to share these (it’s been a whole month since this news was posted on the official site), but I was expecting someone else to share it. Apparently, I’m the only one who shares Gyakuten Saiban-related food promotions ‘round here these days.
These items were on sale at the Capcom Bar, or Capbar, and select Pasela Resorts cafes across Japan for the period from 7/24 - 8/16. So, sorry to those who are planning to trek to Japan, but it’s a little late to rush over for them, but at least the Capbar might still have their usual selection of AA-themed treats, among other franchises, of course.
In any case, if you’re feeling a little artist’s block and want some Ace Attorney / DGS inspiration, look no further! I hope to see more food and drink-related artwork sometime in the near future.
As usual, if you have a question on what is what, just send me an ask!
Bonus:
This is Yurunosuke, the mascot for this Capcom/Pasela collab. (Yes, the text in this picture is inverted on purpose.) It’s a badge pin you get if you order the Ryunosuke-Holmes Joint Reasoning set (pictured in the first photo). It comes with an English muffin sandwich and an iced milkshake.
I’m just laughing because it looks like a vegan burger. Ryunosuke is the first character in the series to officially get a burger-like food. Sorry, Maya.

Eorzea Cafe: The Layout
And the last thing before I start posting about the food--we need to make notes on the cafe layout. Because as cool as the food is, its really true what they say--location location location.
From the outside, the Pasela resort the Eorzea cafe is in isn’t much differen than the buildings around it, but after only a short walk kitty corner from the Electric Town Train Exit (you’ll be going ti a four way crossing, if you go under any bridges ur going the wrong way), you’ll be able to find a tall glass building playing an adorable themesong at its entrance (Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, hachimitsu!) and a large floor sign advertising the Eorzea Cafe up on floor 2.
Whether you take the stairwell up or the elevator, you are brought out into the lobby area where you’ll be waiting and potentially browsing goods until you get your chance to check in at the front desk, select a job coaster of your choice (assuming you reserved), and get taken into your seat.
Here’s a basic floor map for you.
(YEs, I made it in Paint. Yes, it’s rough. Yes, there’s a Granblu Fantasy cafe just down the hall. Please work with me.)
As a solo queuer myself, I tend to find myself brought in and placed directly at the Job roles counter--this is a bar-style counter that separates the space, the relative difficulty of getting into the seat made up for by the lovely theming. Each section of space is divided up into a job role theme, signified by the stone job-tiles displayed at each section. Above is a shot of the melee dps section, as taken from the Tank section.
Just behind the Job Counter and closer to the door is the bar. The bar is for servers to get their drinks and food from, but its still doing plenty of thematic heavy lifting. Even the bottles on display show posters from the different seasonal events in game, while character acrylics are lit up in the bar’s display case. If you get a chance to go, take a look at see for yourself what characters you can spot!
While the left-hand wall is all decently boring tvs playing commercials on loop, the right hand wall and even some parts of that left wall display full replicas of the weapons used. One of the most impressive is a to-scale recreation of an astrolobe, as well as a white mage cane and an entire bard’s bow.
“Kugane Corner” Is actually a bit of a misnomer--while one wall is a shoji-style wall dedicated to Kugane, this whole section appears to be a love letter to the city states. On one of the walls is a full map of the world, while on an opposite pillar there are illustrations of the three city states. As the rest of the store is so devoted to Gridania, it’s really nice to see the others represented here.
Which brings us to the statement piece--just past the Moogles separating the Job side of the counter from the Primals side of the counter, lay three impressive windows clearly styled after the Carline Canopy in Gridania. These green and gold stained glass windows were always awe inspiring in game, and are done justice even in the smaller scale at the cafe (though a double-layering effect of the windows adds depth but makes the lines kind of--weird and hard to look at, even in real life. Pretty, but not easy on the eyes.)
The space is small but well utilized, teaming with even more detail than I was able to get into this post. Someday, I hope some of you will be able to see it for yourselves--and try some of Eorzea’s little secrets too.
EDIT: Since this post, the “specialty cafe” has become an extra seating area for the cafe! Nothing new to note on decor for now, but you can now be seated in either area.
