Im a mapleshade fanatic !!!! The amount of maples I drew in my life is crazy. Also I believe in mapleshade x reedshine au, they should’ve kick appledusk out and made out in front of him.

Patchkit! He is Mapleshade's third kit in Mapleshade's Vengeance. He gets the most characterization of the three, as he looks like his mom and is most attached to her in their first scene, and then becomes most confident in the water in the river scene. Before they cross the river he protests that the riverclan cats told them to stay out of the river, but Mapleshade replies that their true father will be happy to see them and pushes them ahead of her into the river. When they are swept away by the flash flood Mapleshade tries to rescue Patchkit who is closest and lift him to a branch at the rivers edge but he slips from her grip and disappears under the water. The three kits are buried in Riverclan which is why I gave them half clan symbols. Mapleshade Hallucinates that his spirit is given peace when she kills Appledusk.

omg that is so funny. Imagine an AU where instead of Appledusk, maple falls for Scourge. She still tells Oakstar that Birchface is the father, but when the clan sees those emo kits (they were born with those flashy bangs), they know that they're half Bloodclan. Maple and the kits are exiled and move to bloodclan when they are welcomed >:3

Decided to do some work on Mapleshade :) I feel like her storyline was really mangled in general, and I have a hard time understanding what motivates her from book to book since it feels inconsistent at times. I have my own vision of what a satisfying characterization for her would look like, which I won't get into in this post.

The main reason i made this picture is because i was thinking of how painful it would be if Petalkit looked like Crookedstar. Would Mapleshade have treated him with a bit more affection? Or would she just have seen Appledusk in him, who also looks like Petalkit? It's interesting...
