Well I’m being judged. I know it’s no tidy kettle stitch but it’s a lot of pages too. The stitched edge won’t be visible when I’m done either.

Tsams rant:

I dont know where to begin. I love this character despite everything he's "done" I can't help be feel that killing him out right wasn't justified.

He's killed one person (Lunar doesn't count, he's still alive and i think he left s little peice of Lunar to be repaired with on purpose.) And the government offical he did kill was a cover to protect Sun who was getting threatened into talking about a tramatic event.

There's a double standard Sun and Moon put on him. Moon said himself, that he doesn't want to be associated and comapred with his former self and that he learned to reach for help. Eclipse said nearly the same thing, "Forget what I did in the past" Eclipse is-was clawing for help and it was denied because they didnt belive he could be different. Hell, Moon even said Bloodmoon could be different if he was given the chance. Kill code and Old Moon got their pass. Why doesn't Eclipse deserve that too?

We know he'll find his way back somehow. But its still feels his chance at redemtion was yoinked from us. :[

Okay, that’s enough chewing on the sadness of canon TSAMS Eclipse dealing with the shitty couch in the Fazcade. Time to do what I do best- fix that shit!

[So this was actually posted referencing my fic; 'Eclipse Meets his Match' so no one thinks I'm projecting.] But I had a VERY intense visceral reaction to this and it's related to my writing style. In order to give it context; I'm used to doing character role-playing with very little scripting and often batting things back and forth with a speedy co-writer or more then one person. So once I know a character well enough I can just... listen and take notes and stick them in situations and just mentally watch them react in a natural way. So the second I read the tags I was literally bombarded with an emotional response that was incredible depression spiralling [Eclipse] and deep pity [Sun]. I grabbed a pencil and drew this in a matter of minutes, starting from the mask outwards -

And that HURT. All I could think was that... [And this is my version I'm talking about obviously] You can tell Eclipse he's a mean, shitty person. He'll just laugh [one of the recorded ones] and tell you to go screw yourself. But if you tell him he's physically ugly, that actually cuts deep. That's sets him off and piles up. He's spent a lot of time with no body at all and even less with an option to change his appearance in any small way. Being mean is a choice. Being seen as ugly is just something you have to mentally deal with. Especially when the person you care about the most is a color swapped version of the same frame. That's a lot of internal questioning as to why one is prettier then the other? None of this is super logical. I mean, he is broken emotionally. But I couldn't let that stand. So I circled around him with a pencil several times, and worked Sun into the frame.

Notice that the lighting had changed auspiciously too. I was sitting in the same spot, just a few hours later. So I basically thought; that's a bit mean and unfair. And then was internally screamed in two other voices YEAH IT KINDA FUCKING IS.

Not me. I’m plotting. I’d already written a really cute sequence as a cooldown from a family argument. Now you’re getting extra cute fluff on top of what I already wrote for the chapter after next.

Canon trying to hurt me only fills me with determination.

It's fortunate that I have an older printer that can take generic ink cartridges that are about $4.50 each; because I used 3/4 of the larger black one doing this.

It's going to be a veritable tome once I've finished. I'll have to make a custom cover for it too and sew it in little stations for stability. I've been meaning to make a book press anyway and I think I have enough random junk around here to craft one without buying anything.

And once again, this is HALF of "Eclipse Meets His Match".

The full thing would be almost an entire ream of printer paper at this font size with both sides printed. And I'm nowhere near done writing it.
