I will continue stitching colour wheels until I am stopped. Blackwork embroidery on 14-count Aida.

This one uses just seven thread colours (six for the fills, plus white for outlines). Each section has a 3-part gradient on a bit of a curve, which was a bit different to design, but no harder to stitch than my earlier 2-part gradients.

Throwback to my Sea Otter!! This cross stitch pattern has 6 variations you can choose to stitch! An earth, a starfish, a rainbow heart, a book, an otter pup, or a skull. What a variety! Now that I look at the skull, it just makes for a funny pattern.

Anyways, find this in my shop, it's a quick stitch!

in an attempt to have Hobbies That Do Not Involve The Screen, i got my mother to send me some of her enomous stash of cross stitch kits to try some out before dropping money on a hobby i might not do and they arrived the other day and uhh

seems like i don't have a 'need to scroll tumblr all the time' problem, i just have a 'need something to occupy my gremlin hands' problem, because last night i got home from work and did not even turn my computer ON i just had tv on my laptop and cross stitched for like two hours and did not crave to check the internet even once

Mouse Sampler

Can you believe this is the first sampler I've ever designed? Two cute harvest mice are perched on daisies, kissing noses!

I hand-dyed this fabric using liquid Rit dye and stitched the alphabet and border details with @lecien_cosmo Seasons variegated floss. You can get this beautiful variegated floss from my pal @dyeingforsass or your local needlework shop (lots of them have online shopping!) Alternatively, you can use the DMC substitutes provided within the pattern notes.

Happy Spring!

Today I'm releasing a pattern that I really enjoyed making. I had to help a very large black carpenter bee that had gotten stuck inside the porch. When I brought it out into the sun I was hit by beautiful blues and blacks and I instantly was thinking of this variegated thread I had stashed. It's my first time doing a more "traditional" style pattern but I had a lot of fun!
