What games did you use to play more when you were younger?
In my younger gamer days, which I would say was before I got an xbox 360 and into Halo 3 and that generation of gaming.
A shock to most is that I never had any of an Nintendo influence.
My first console was a PS1 and in that respect, the earliest game I remember playing was Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue. It is an amazing game. I also had access to spyro and rayman too.
My mother would eventually get a PS2 and that got me into playing games like Ratchet and Clank, LEGO Star Wars, The Sims Bustin' Out, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was one of my favourite games of that period too. Simpsons Hit and Run was also a commonly played one along with Burnout 3.
I also had some access to PC gaming at the time. I got into WoW during mid BC but i never actively got anywhere with that. Just sorta wandered the world, never raided or even hit end-game. Our PC couldn't handle Northrend either so once i reached there, i had to stop playing until a new pc and late cataclysm.
but there was also more Sims to be played and also Age of Mythology and Tropico. Grim Fandago and some monkey island.
I hope that sorta helps you grasp what sorta gamer I was back then :P

Are there any games that you recommend playing? Can be on any console or pc I'm just curious to what you play :0
-crack knuckles- video games are my only reason to live, i have so many recommendations but i havent played console in so long so these are mostly just for pc, some console games are mentioned at the end
bolded are my personal faves!
if ur into shooters i would recommend: Borderlands (1, 2, and maybe the Pre-sequel if its ever on sale on Steam), Bioshock (1, 2, and Infinite if its on sale), Doom, the Fallout series, and Overwatch.
I would also recommend Left 4 Dead 2 and Payday 2 if you have any friends that also have it bc those are very fun but most of the fun comes from playing with friends.  Both can still be played in single player however!
hmmmm the Witcher Series and The Elder Scrolls series are both kinda similar in their fantasy setting with the Witcher being third person instead of first person and it has a bigger focus on its main story and alchemy system nd battle system while the Elder Scrolls kinda lets you go with a pat on ur back and lets u figure out everything on ur own p easily. Another absolutely GORGEOUS game with third person action yet is somewhat difficult enough to turn off people looking for casual fun is Nier: Automata. the story is amazing the graphics are amazing the music is orgasmic i adore everything about it and i HIGHLY recommend it
if ur looking for more uhh quirky games that arent as HARDCORE 360 NOSCOPE 100% AIM ACCURACY i would tell you to check out Undertale, Don’t Starve, Hotline Miami (1 and 2 are admittedly hard but quite addicting), Stardew Valley, Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, Terraria, Jazzpunk (on sale), Limbo, Inside (on sale), and Touhou (all of them i love this series so much)
Games mostly focusing on story are pretty few and far between but all of the Telltale Games are worth checking out since theres no combat other than quicktime events, Fran Bow, Firewatch, Machinarium, and the Grim Fandago is also similar as in its pure puzzles and all dialogue with no action. Dangan Ronpa is something i thought i would like a lot more but im actually kinda split on it? hmm u might like it more than me so ill just mention it
for platformers hmmm theres not many i can recommend bc im not too into the genre myself but i need to mention Psychonauts bc its one of my favorite games and Ori and the Blind Forest
OKAY for console: Pokemon (as a whole), Splatoon (1 and 2), the Legend of Zelda (as a whole), Professor Layton (pure puzzle games), and the Persona Games (specifically 3, 4, and 5) are all glorious games and are the only reason why i still have my consoles.
