A bit of a weirdly specific request, but could you cover Launch Base Zone Act 2 from the Nov 3 prototype of Sonic 3? The version from Sonic & Knuckles PC Collection would work if the prototype version is hard to find, even though it still sounds different /shrug
Hey there, sure thing! I LOVE weirdly specific requests! I hope this is what you're listening for!
Listening to this through, there's a ton of variety, and what a pretty little Genesis/MegaDrive track this is! The A section at the beginning reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on what...oh yes, it reminds me of Chrome Gadget in a way! It's not exact, obviously (the prototype Chrome Gadget is pretty similar to what is in the release version), but the rhythm of the melody evokes it, even if the notes themselves don't quite do so. I really like the arpeggiating sections in the mid-section--they have a beautiful, lilting sound and soar over everything. As with all well-made tracks made in the times before PCM audio, this has a strong and well crafted melody, really establishing it before elaborating on it in further phrases. The harmony also does some interesting wandering without going too far out of the realm of its key. Even a mild modulation! I really like this!

A group of scientists led by Kongu Engineering College in India investigated the use of waste neem oil as a cooling solution for PV modules. Neem oil is extracted from the seeds of the neem tree and is commonly used as a medicine for some skin diseases.
Tumblr media
The researchers explained that this oil acts like phase-changing materials (PCMs), which can absorb, store, and release large amounts of latent heat over defined temperature ranges. PCMs have often been used at the research level for PV module cooling and the storage of heat.
“The neem oil has a good thermal range, is physically high in density, is chemically stable and noncorrosive, is environmentally pollution-free, reusable, and recyclable, and is economically low-cost and easy to dispose of,” they added. “Commonly, any PCM used for cooling purposes should have low thermal conductivity, stability, and cycling. The neem oil has fulfilled all the limitations.”

these past few days have cumulatively been the worst in a long while.
replaced my battery today and my power steering assist failure light is still on so now I'm inclined to believe it is my power steering module after all and that means :) i can't actually fix it myself :)
that requires a computer to program it properly and a lot of know how that I do not have! it could also be the pinion bearing near the power steering module because if that goes bad, sometimes that can cause the PCM to not read correctly (i.e. power steering assist failure)
it could also be the strut and engine mount, because people with the same type of car as me have said that they replaced those and their power steering came back.
at this point i dont know what im going to do because i can't afford to take my car to a shop and get it serviced. i dont even have the money to take it and get the problem troubleshot either.
i dont even know if all mechanics are equipped to deal with electronic power steering systems or if most of them only work with hydraulic ones.
😔

personal recording of it i made earlier today with an old outdoor directional FM radio antenna. to actually describe what's being heard, the oscillating/changing jingly tones are analog telemetry with a lower sub-carrier below that you can barely kinda hear with a deeper sound. the background ticking/triple click(?) sound is the PCM (pulse code modulation) or in normal terms, the digital portion of the telemetry signal.
the actual navigation hardware on this satellite failed 19 days after launch in 1964 (part of the early NNSS or navy navigational satellite system constellation) , but since then it's been dutifully making this silly noise for literally 61 years and shows no signs of stopping. ya' gotta love it

Diploma in Physiotherapy Course – Build a Hands-On Career in Healthcare
Thinking of joining the medical field but don’t want to spend 5+ years in college? Love helping people recover from injuries or pain? A Diploma in Physiotherapy Course might be exactly what you're looking for.
It’s one of the fastest-growing healthcare courses in India, offering real-world skills, early job opportunities, and a rewarding career without needing an MBBS degree.
Tumblr media
Here’s everything you need to know—what it covers, what you’ll learn, where it leads, and why it’s worth your time if you’re passionate about patient care.
What Is a Diploma in Physiotherapy Course?
The Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT) is a 2-year paramedical course that trains students to treat physical disabilities, injuries, and movement problems. Unlike purely academic courses, this one is highly practical. You’ll learn how to help people regain mobility after accidents, surgeries, or chronic conditions like arthritis and paralysis.
It’s a popular course in India because:
It offers early job opportunities
It has low fees compared to degrees
The healthcare industry needs more physiotherapy assistants
Subjects You’ll Study in This Course
You don’t just jump into therapy right away. The course starts with basics and then builds advanced skills. Here are some major subjects:
Anatomy & Physiology – Understand how the human body works
Biochemistry – Learn the body’s chemical processes
Pathology – Study disease causes and effects
Electrotherapy – Use machines to treat muscle and nerve problems
Exercise Therapy – Techniques to improve strength, balance, flexibility
Orthopaedics – Focus on bones, joints, and musculoskeletal conditions
Rehabilitation Therapy – Assist people in recovering mobility and independence
First Aid & Emergency Care – Immediate response for injuries
These subjects are supported by lab work, hospital visits, and sometimes short internships.
Who Can Join?
To enroll in a Diploma in Physiotherapy course, you need to have:
Completed 10+2 (Science stream – PCB/PCM)
A strong interest in healthcare and human biology
Willingness to work with patients directly
The course is open to both freshers and those switching careers.
Where Can You Work After the Course?
Once you complete your diploma, many job options open up in:
Hospitals (Govt. and private)
Physiotherapy clinics
Sports and fitness centers
Rehabilitation centers
Old age homes / NGOs
Home-based patient care
You can work as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Aide, or even start your own therapy center after gaining some experience.
Pro Tip: The demand for physiotherapists is higher in urban hospitals and metro cities, but smaller cities are catching up fast!
Why Choose a Diploma Instead of a Degree?
Here’s why many students prefer a diploma:
Shorter duration – 2 years vs 4–5 years
Affordable fees
Quick job entry
Focused, skill-based training
Great stepping stone for further education (like BPT or MPT)
If you're unsure about committing to a full degree right now, the diploma gives you a taste of the field with job-ready skills.

Energy Storage Cooling: Key to Optimized Energy Management
As the world shifts towards renewable energy and smart grids, energy storage systems (ESS) play a crucial role in ensuring stability and efficiency. The performance, longevity, and safety of these systems, however, depend heavily on effective cooling solutions. Thus, energy storage cooling has become a cornerstone of modern energy management.
Cooling Technologies for Energy Storage
Air Cooling:
Air cooling is one of the simplest and most cost-effective methods for managing heat in ESS. Fans or blowers circulate air around storage components, dissipating heat through convection. While air cooling is easy to maintain and works well for small-scale ESS, it has limitations in heat dissipation efficiency and struggles under high temperatures or heavy loads.
Liquid Cooling:
Liquid cooling systems offer greater efficiency. By circulating a coolant—usually a mixture of water and antifreeze—through pipes or channels integrated into the storage modules, heat is absorbed and transferred away. This method ensures more uniform temperature control and handles higher heat loads, making it ideal for large-scale battery energy storage systems.
Phase-Change Materials (PCMs):
PCMs represent an emerging solution in energy storage cooling. These materials absorb significant amounts of heat during the phase transition from solid to liquid, effectively stabilizing temperature. When combined with other cooling technologies, PCMs can significantly enhance thermal management.
Challenges in Energy Storage Cooling
Despite the advances in cooling technologies, challenges remain. The high upfront costs of advanced systems—particularly liquid cooling—pose barriers for some projects. Additionally, ensuring the long-term reliability of cooling components while maintaining energy efficiency is an ongoing technical challenge.
The Future of Energy Storage Cooling
Looking forward, the development of smarter and more integrated cooling systems will be key to optimizing energy storage performance. Innovations in cooling materials and systems will play a pivotal role in supporting the widespread adoption of renewable energy and fostering sustainable energy development.
