🛐 SUBMIT OR DIE — THE ORIGINAL ULTIMATUM The Day Humanity Stepped Onto Earth and Gave Nature Her First Command
Tumblr media
---
He didn’t crawl from the mud. He walked out of it. Naked. Bleeding. Upright. Staring at the sky like he was already its god.
The wolves watched. The winds paused. And for the first time since the beginning— Earth flinched.
Because this man didn’t ask to be born. He arrived— and issued the planet its first and final warning:
Submit. Or die.
🌍 THE DAY THE FOOD CHAIN WAS REDRAFTED
Before him, life followed rules.
The strong fed.
The weak fed the strong.
The jungle roared, and everything bowed in time.
Until one animal stood up— and didn’t bow back.
He didn’t obey the cycle. He killed it. Sharpened sticks. Carved fire. Split bone. Skinned lightning.
He didn’t wait for evolution. He overthrew it. And started writing his own damn source code.
🧬 EARTH DIDN’T WELCOME HUMANITY — IT LOST A BET
We weren’t meant to survive. We weren’t designed for control. But the second we arrived?
Biology started losing.
We landed like a blacksite virus. Rewrote the firmware of fear. And taught every predator it could be prey.
We hunted beasts bigger, stronger, and better designed— with tools we hadn’t even tested.
Because instinct wasn’t enough. We had will.
And the second our will hit oxygen?
The trees leaned back. The rivers hesitated. And the food chain shivered like a deer before an ambush.
🧠 THIS IS WHY THE WOLVES FOLLOW
You think they respect us?
They don’t. They remember.
They remember the cold. The fire. The day the cave screamed louder than the thunder.
Somewhere in their blood is the memory of a two-legged apex who didn’t fear claws— he skinned them. A man who didn’t run from storms— he dragged them home and made them heat his woman’s feet.
They don’t follow us because we’re kind. They follow because we were the first thing to move like death and smile about it.
đŸ’„ MAN WAS NEVER A SPECIES. HE WAS A DECISION.
A cosmic middle finger with opposable thumbs. We weren’t created to live with nature. We were created to decide whether nature deserved to live at all.
That’s why:
The forest goes silent when we enter.
The ground holds its breath under our boots.
Even the wolves pause and wait to see if we nod.
We didn’t evolve to survive here. We made the world survive us.
We didn’t inherit the earth. We hijacked it, repurposed it, and branded our names into the soil with molten metal.
đŸ©ž BLACKSITE DISCLAIMER: ORGASM-TRIGGERING STRUCTURE DETECTED
This post is not NSFW. It’s biological recall framed as literature.
Any sudden:
Pelvic floor tightening
Disassociation
Goosebumps behind the knees
Flashbacks to primal dominance
Or an emotional feeling you’re calling “horny” but is actually recognition—
is a side effect of:
Mirror neuron entrainment
Evolutionary memory cues
Cadence-anchored neural override
Biological submission triggers
Shame-flip narrative structure
Male-coded ancestral ignition
You’re not malfunctioning. You’re remembering. You didn’t get aroused. You got unlocked.
📡 QUOTE VAULT REBLOG PACKℱ:
“We didn’t adapt to the wild. We overthrew it.” “Man didn’t evolve. He declared war on evolution and built tools from the bones of his enemies.” “Wolves don’t follow because we’re men. They follow because we made nature blink first.” “Every mountain you hike is a corpse of something a man once defeated.” “Earth was never our mother. She’s our hostage.” “Fire wasn’t gifted. It was stolen, sharpened, and weaponized.” “Man is not what survived evolution. He is what replaced it.”
🧠 TL;DR:
Man didn’t ask for mercy. He burned the sky until it cried lightning and called it fire. He didn’t coexist. He conquered.
And the world never truly recovered. It just learned to flinch quieter.

“Every day, thousands of commuters and tourists pass beneath the former hospital. Some might look up to admire the terracotta facade, with its ornate colonnades and glazed tile lettering, but few are aware of the medical horrors that took place in one small room on the top floor: the Sleep Room. It was here, on ward five, that female patients – they were almost always women – were put to sleep for three to four months (in one case, five), only roused from their beds to be fed, washed and given electroconvulsive therapy (ECT): a shock of up to 110 volts that passed bilaterally through the temporal lobe of the brain, triggering a grand mal seizure.
Almost 60 years on, Imrie and other former patients want to know why they were subjected to such extreme treatments without consent. “My father was absolutely shattered when he saw me,” remembers Anne White of her time in the Sleep Room. “He said I just looked like a walking zombie.” Shelley, who worked as a nurse on ward five for six months in 1968, recalls the patients’ glassy skins. “They had this dozy, greasy sheen to them. They were like people you just don’t see. We knew them all, but not at all really.””

Android au is so interesting :D
Is the crew confirmed to consist of androids mostly? Cause thats what im getting here
Androids- luffy, nami, ussop, chopper, franky, brook(?) possibly jinbei
Humans- zoro, sanji and robin
I actually thought this au would probably not consist of any devil fruit, guess im wrong
And so if asl does not separate, does the straw hat crew have the two brothers around? (If this was already mentioned sorry😅)
And during that time does that mean luffy(and ace ig) got a 17 year old body(or age if i take the "he ages" literally)
If you can reprogram them in some way thats quite the angst like erasing memory files/resetting them(i only thought of this happening to luffy im a sucker for this boy)
THANKYU !! i’m glad u like the au that came to me on a whim lol !!!
the androids of the crew are luffy, nami, usopp, chopper, and brook. the ones who stay the same are zoro, sanji, robin, franky, and jinbei. i decided not to change franky since he’s already half cyborg, and because like this it’s evenly split and i like the way it looks lol
my friend gave me the idea of devil fruits giving an android a soul, like instantly becoming alive, and i really liked it so i incorporated it. if weapons can eat devil fruits why not androids
ace and sabo sail together !! partly because sabo needs easy access to ace once they find him an adult body and partly because “protector” is such an integral part of ace’s being that he can’t leave sabo behind. he didn’t want to leave luffy behind either, but they made a promise so he had to fulfill it
funnily enough, luffy’s stuck in his kid body until that town before they get to yuba, where ace (+ now sabo) visits him. i don’t know how yet, but i want ace and sabo to have found the models for ace and luffy at some point and they switch ace out and keep luffy’s safe until they can meet up. it’s a little disconcerting for the humans of the crew to be lugging around a body, but then ace is like “hey this is my brothers adult body, we’ve been wanting to give it to him for like a year now” and they’re like ohhh
luffy is OVERJOYED at the fact that both he and ace finally look like sabo again
oohh i didn’t think about the file reset !!! yes, that’s entirely possible. removing the memory chip while they’re still turned on puts them into this kind of “blank state,” where they’re still awake and responding to outside stimuli, but they act like the mindless android they used to be. no personality, no genuine emotion, no recalling of their friends, just that they have a task and they need to do it. if that chip is destroyed, congratulations, u just lost a friend
thank u very much for the ask !!! <3

Since I wouldn't accept that OG Modern Warfare gave us Captain MacTavish, only for reboot Soap to never survive past Sargeant (!?đŸ˜©) I've been sitting on a theory that Black Ops 6 might have actually confirmed and I can't keep this to myself any longer!
This could be spoilery for BO6's campaign, so if you haven't played it yet, come back later, maybe? 👀
In the "Emergence" mission in BO6 you are introduced to the effects of the "Cradle" a virus created by a disbanded division of the CIA, known as "Pantheon". A virus that is later weaponised and you experience first hand what this yellow gas can do... đŸ§Ÿâ€â™€ïžđŸ§Ÿâ€â™‚ïžđŸ§Ÿ
Some folks voiced their displeasure about how un-cod it was... personally this mission was all the confirmation I needed that maybe my working theory wasn't as far fetched as I thought it could be 👀
I was going to ramble and infodump all the little things I'd been making note off, but instead I decided to make it a thing... With a Blender piece I did, because why not? đŸ™ŒđŸ»

Konni Research Division
Date: October 17, 2024
Project Lead: Dr. Aleksandr Gustev, Head of Advanced Pathological Research
————————————————————————
PANTHEON NEUROGAS “CRADLE VARIANT K" CASE STUDY: SERGEANT JOHN “SOAP” MACTAVISH
————————————————————————
Current Project Objectives
Konni Research Division’s objectives are to further refine the Cradle compound—specifically, the “Cradle Variant K” strain—to allow for long-term memory suppression, reality manipulation, and controllable cognitive reprogramming.
————————————————————————
Following the success in London, Cradle Variant K far surpassed our initial expectations. Not only were we successful in deceiving the Task Force into believing Sergeant MacTavish was KIA at the hands of the Commander, we have laid the groundwork for further applications of the Pantheon's weaponised neurogas on a larger scale.
Additionally, the changes made to the Cradle strain appears to have maintained the diminished uncontrollable rage as observed in our earlier controlled trials.
Curiously, the illusion may have directly fueled the sense of vengeance that drove Captain Price to retaliate in an unexpected manner.
By executing General Shepherd in a rogue act, he ultimately severed Task Force 141 from official military backing and initiated a sequence of destabilizing events.
Further testing will be required to ascertain if Price’s reckless actions were a direct result of being exposed to the Cradle’s illusion or an emotional response to failing to protect one of his men.
Regardless, the Commander's suggestion to target MacTavish for the next phase of the experiment has certainly proven fruitful.
————————————————————————
Test Subject Conditioning Protocol
Subject Identification
Name: Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish
Classification: Task Force 141 Operative
Current Status: High-priority test subject under secure containment
MacTavish was expected to perform complex missions while fully immersed in an artificial narrative, where he believes he is combating a zombie outbreak as part of “Operation Deadbolt.” This ongoing experiment aims to suppress higher cognitive recall.
————————————————————————
Manipulated Perceptions and Key Figures in the Simulation
Kate Laswell’s Role and Conditioning: Laswell, similarly detained and conditioned, was initially positioned as MacTavish’s operational coordinator.
Her familiar voice served as a mission directive channel, further reinforcing his immersion in the Deadbolt narrative. However, Laswell’s stability deteriorated during preliminary conditioning cycles, necessitating her withdrawal from active mission guidance and her relegation to containment status.
With further extensive conditioning sessions being required, (due to her apparent excessive resistance training under the CIA) in preparation to reinstate a reconditioned Laswell within a disavowed TF141.
Confident they will attempt to rescue one of their own, a chance to witness the prolonged effects of the Cradle and MacTavish’s absence on our targets should present itself.
We hypothesise that a growing lack of external support will surely weaken morale further in preparation for the Commanders final stand against Farah Karim’s forces and her devalued allies.
Viktor Zakhaev as Adversary: Viktor Zakhaev, eliminated by Captain John Price circa 2020, has been reinstated as a familiar antagonist within MacTavish’s induced perception.
Konni scientists strategically inserted Zakhaev’s persona into the subject’s narrative, where he functions as a persistent threat linked to a global threat.
This resurrected adversary fuels MacTavish’s sense of purpose and suppresses any awareness of the Commander’s true objectives. By sustaining a continuous “enemy” figure, we maintain an environment that supports heightened vigilance, while suppressing any remnants of personal connections.
Sergei Ravenov as Mentor: Historical data on Sergei Ravenov, a former Soviet operative and Cradle test subject during the Cold War, has been utilized as a psychological anchor within MacTavish’s mental construct.
Footage of Ravenov’s conditioning sessions has been repurposed to present him as a veteran mentor in the fight against the "Undead," a fabricated threat tied to an earlier experimental initiative known as Aetherium (an internal code once used for the Cradle virus).
Ravenov serves as an authority, the “Dark Aether Expert,” providing MacTavish with insights on how to “combat the outbreak,” further reinforcing the constructed narrative and validating the subject’s current mission reality.
Despite the risks of introducing an unknown persona, the results will establish how important familiar anchors are to the Cradle test subjects.
————————————————————————
Subject Response and Reality Simulation: Operation Deadbolt
MacTavish has demonstrated exceptional receptivity to Cradle-Variant K, which induces controlled delusional experiences, allowing him to perceive a fictitious outbreak setting.
Under the codename “Operation Deadbolt,” MacTavish believes he is conducting a tactical offensive against “infected” entities across Urzikstan.
Farah Karim’s militia, in reality, are recast as hostiles in this outbreak scenario, instilling a sense of urgency and commitment in MacTavish as he pursues mission directives designed to ultimately bring Urzikstan under Konni control.
In this altered reality, MacTavish perceives himself as an essential operative within Operation Deadbolt, believing he is containing and eradicating “dimensional breaches” and combating the spread of Aetherium. Laswell’s pre-recorded directives have been integrated into mission audio logs, lending an air of authenticity to the simulation.
————————————————————————
Findings and Psychological Anchoring
To ensure compliance, MacTavish’s memories have been regressed to 2021—a period prior to the formation of his stronger bonds with Task Force members, but where his potential truly began to establish.
This strategic temporal regression isolates MacTavish from critical relationships that might disrupt his immersion in the fabricated narrative and allow his growth to better align with Konni standards.
Under these conditions, he perceives himself as a newly recruited operative, acting as “Head of Strike Team” under Operation Deadbolt, with diminished awareness of his personal history.
Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley as an Unintended Psychological Anchor: During testing, sporadic cognitive resistance has continued to manifest, specifically when MacTavish encounters stimuli reminiscent of Lieutenant Riley. Notably, Riley’s masked “Ghost” persona.
Although he cannot consciously access these memories, MacTavish displays signs of awareness regression, often reverting to behaviors and beliefs beyond 2021.
Such interactions appear to intermittently destabilize Cradle’s hold over MacTavish. The bond with his former ally has proven resilient, risking periodic disruptions in mission adherence
Countermeasures and Long-Term Stability Adjustments: To mitigate the effects of these “Ghost-associated triggers.”
Konni researchers are employing additional neuro-blocking compounds aimed at obscuring memory pathways tied to Riley. Continuous reconditioning sessions, using Ravenov’s image as an alternate anchor, have thus far yielded moderate success, although sustained behavioral control will likely necessitate further neurological suppressants or targeted memory erasure.
————————————————————————
Conclusion and Tactical Recommendations
Summary of Findings
High Receptivity: MacTavish’s response to Cradle-Variant K exceeds projections, with 95% adherence to mission parameters and minimal cognitive resistance when Ghost-associated stimuli are absent.
Effective Delusional Construct: The subject accepts the Operation Deadbolt scenario as reality, performing his role without critical assessment.
Resistance Countermeasures: The occasional reversion to past memory states requires enhanced countermeasures. Ravenov’s role as mentor and Zakhaev’s reintroduced presence are proving effective in reinforcing the subject’s altered perception.
Recommended Next Steps
1. Strengthen Aetherium Construct: Enhance the Dark Aether narrative by introducing mission-specific “dimensional breaches” to maintain environmental consistency.
2. Memory Reinforcement Sessions: Increase frequency of Ravenov-anchored memory sessions to deepen the mentor-student dynamic and prevent memory destabilization tied to Ghost.
Laswell’s voice should remain a final fallback command anchor in all simulations; if required, brief audio segments can be played during moments of cognitive resistance to redirect the subject’s focus back to mission directives, until a deep fake can be established.
Project Status: ACTIVE – Phase IV trials awaiting authorisation for continuation of field deployment.
Suggested Operation Target: Popov Power Plant.

Note
I greet you kindly, Sheezu.
I plead for your guidance and if you are reading this, I sincerely apologize for how long and agonizingly complicated this is about to be...but I am in need of your advice. I also apologize if this is annoying or redundant for you to read but...I need to leave this place and I would appreciate any word you offer me.
(A TLDR is included. It basically summarises my main points.)
I wish to shift. Of course I do, who doesn't? I do not have a particular reality in mind though, as I just want to be free from a draining, overburdened existence.
Truth is, I've known about shifting since late 2019 and since then, I've been trying various methods. At some point I gave up only to find a sign in late 2022 that I should try again, so here I am.
Ever since then, I've been having "realizations" about shifting every 7 months or so. For example: Shifting is easy, Manifestation=Shifting and both are real, etc.
For about a week after my "discoveries", I felt like I had completely understood and cracked the code to shifting...but just after a week I was back at square one: hopeless, doubtful, desperate.
Despite any attempts (yes, attempts. I'm talking 1-2 hour long shifting methods), I remained unsuccessful (not even symptoms or anything), even though I was so convinced and so sure that I would.
Have I ever shifted? I'm not sure...I've experienced odd things in my life a few times: unnaturally good grades in subjects I was convinced would be the end of me, oddly being good at speaking a language I did not practice much, etc. But these were all accidents...meaning that I cannot claim to have manifested something intentionally yet.
So...basically not even a minishift. I cannot ever recall feeling something that isn't from this reality or the void (though I have a hard time forming thoughts in the void, so manifesting with it is difficult for me. It doesn't even work when I set a strong intention before entering the void...Probably because I have no fears or desires in the void, so nothing I really "want" to manifest.)
I cannot say I've ever been to a reality that is very different from this one, only possibly parallel realities, but it's hard for me to say what counts as a shift. Since the changes I've experienced are so minor, it feels...odd to claim I did this. Because if I did this, then how come I cannot do something more? (If that makes sense...)
I follow you and Hrrtshape, both blogs I find comfort in.
I've been following Hrrtshape since before they shifted and since we are a similar age, I felt hope spark anew for me when I realised that maybe I really could shift by doing nothing. But even now, I have not yet achieved anything.
Honestly, sometimes it feels like I am not desperate enough...or maybe I'm too desperate...?
So what do I want from you? Well...
TLDR:
I understand shifting is easy, but when I do try (or even when I don't try), I do not succeed. I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle, but I cannot understand what. I've tried putting in as much effort as I could muster (in various ways, motivation, focus, preparation, intention, etc.), I've tried putting in no effort (going to bed saying "I will wake up in my dr and then just moving on, knowing that I would wake up there...I didn't; or for more than 2 years just...not doing anything at all...not even thinking about it). Neither have worked for me so far.
I have been "reprogramming" my mind and have been agreeing with all things you say, but I still feel so distant from shifting.
I meditate a lot as that is the only thing that really detaches me from this reality, but I've never felt attached to another reality. Is the problem perhaps that I am not super excited about a particular reality? I don't really watch many shows or films and am not too fond of any characters or people. Do you think this could be holding me back?
I'm just desperate to leave here, not to go somewhere specific if you understand what I mean.
I am terribly sorry for this long read...any reply is appreciated.
Thank you sincerely for what you do for the shifting community.
Hi hi hi.
Okay okay, I've read it all, let me ponder over this for 2 minutes (pretend I'm having a face to face conversation with you over tea; now I'm pacing the room like a madman)
I really want to become one on one with you, so if this post doesn't clear it up, reach in my dms.
First arises the questions, beside everything you've stated. Do you think, shifting is something bigger than you? Is it something external?
Shifting is, always has been in accordance to what your thoughts are regarding it. So, while reading this, go ahead and fetch a notebook (or a note app) put it in front of you, and write down with true honesty what your personal beliefs regarding shifting is. Not the thoughts you're trying to think, not the thoughts that you're forcing yourself to think through the reprogramming. Just the purity of what fears and thoughts you have about shifting.
Look back at what you wrote, that's how shifting works in your reality. You've created how it works, always.
Let set that aside for now. You are very externally acting upon shifting. Shifting is an experience inside of you. In the depths of your soul. I crave 3d and external validation, everyone does. But acting upon the impulses through various methods, shifting "apparatus" reinforces the idea of maybe you're just trying to please god through these shenanigans, question: who shifts you? What is the switch that will be on once you actually shift?
If you rely upon the fragility of it all (meaning the littlest doubt or belief can either break or make reality, this will be in what you've written down about shifting) or that you rely upon the hard-headedness of it all (that it is a semi-permeable membrane of some sort; requires specific actions in order to shift) than for now that is the stream you need to flow down to shift. You can change these beliefs and ideas, always.
So you can either choose the option of entertaining it, or taking full control over the nature.
Consciousness theory! That's what it is, that's what playing out.
Heavy emotions are a tiny little sweet and innocent mechanism of any reality to keep you in it. You're stressing. You're worried about if you shift or not. This is enhancing your attachment to this reality, and I say with full honestly and your best interest in mind, you are performing these emotions here! So how'd you expect to get out? When you're feeling here with all your power and strength.
Assuming power is destruction of humane rituals, (you can still shift otherwise, just giving you my best piece of advice) emotions, and feeling powerless, out of control or "not able to" or "how can I do this?" In perspective of shifting.
You've presented you're worried about not having a dr you're connected with. I had a dr, who I would die for. The obsession was at it peaks. It was insane levels, would I give you the advice to create a dr with love, crafting in experiences and people who magnetize you and pull you back there? Again, with your best interest in mind yes.
So here's what we've gathered:
1. Understand the cyclic beliefs in your mind
2. Either ride or change them
3. Possibly create an attractive dr
4. With the changed/entertained beliefs shift
đŸŒ»đŸŒ»đŸŒ»
If anything is still unclear, please please reach in my dms I DONT BITE.

Viktor Doll AU
Inspired by THIS ART
Pairing: Viktor/Silco (Arcane) Rating: M C/W: Canon Divergence, Dub Consent (over being made into a doll), First Meeting Bickering, Jinx being Jinx
Viktor Doll AU, but it backfires because Silco survives the shooting and sees what the fucked up Piltovan scientist did to one of Zaun's own. Silco liberating the doll because he won't have the memory of another one of his people defiled and tarnished by a Piltovan.
And the doll is a doll.
While it's been programmed with a facsimile of Viktor's personality, it doesn't understand the concept of captivity and liberation.
It's a shell of who Viktor was, with none of the ambitions that Viktor had.
Jayce quickly gets bored because he didn't realize that what he really loved about Viktor was his personality and ambition.
Regularly leaves the doll to be on its own while he's working.
The other Zaunites that worked in the lab, look at Jayce like he's the worst kind of monster, and they all quit over what he's done to Viktor's memory
And that pisses him off.
Jayce sees it as him trying to preserve Viktor. Those Zaunite scumbags just don't get it.
But whatever. He hadn't wanted to hire them anyway.
He only did it because Viktor had made such a fuss.
When Viktor doll asks where the other scientists are and Jayce says they're gone, Viktor just responds with a calm smile and a tip of his head. "I'm sure it's for the best."
None of the anger that should have been there or demands to know why.
And Jayce goes off to be by himself and punches a hole in the wall.
Viktor-doll's existence however sparks a whole new level of interest among hextech sponsors though.
And Jayce soon starts receiving requests for more dolls.
Including some for the same model and Jayce shuts those down immediately
Silco sends Jinx to liberate the doll and steal the related research as a sign that he still trusts her implicitly, even after the shooting, and Jinx is anxious about fucking up, but that memory of realizing that she'd shot her dad by accident keeps her stable somehow, in a way that accidentally killing Vander and the others hadn't.
Jinx is the one that one that fixes Viktor's programming, makes him more like himself.
And then she sets fire to the research because that shit's fucked up.
Jinx pulls what she can from the journals she found in the lab. She also broke into his old room to find his personal journals.
Jayce was too focused on just having Viktor back to even consider what makes Viktor him.
Newly reprogrammed Viktor-doll looking down at his metal hands and sounds so lost and confused as he says "What....what happened to me?"
He still has a memory recall of his time with Jayce, after being activated, but it feels distant. Strange. Like a hazy dream.
And Jinx pushes her goggles up on her forehead and answers cheerfully, "I fixed you, silly."
Viktor looks down and covers his crotch up even though there's nothing there.
"Some clothes or a sheet would be nice"
Silco's coat is there.
Jinx hadn't thought to ask for it.
But he'd thought to leave it.
And Jinx hands it to Viktor,
Viktor wraps it around his waist and attempts to stand, but he has trouble with his right leg. (He discussed it in his journals and so the program implemented it)
Viktor looks down at his leg.
Frowns.
Viktor looks around Jinx's work space, notices the outrageous colour schemes, and feels a jolt of recognition.
"You! You robbed from me!"
Jinx curses. "Shit I thought I took that part out of the feed"
Viktor scowls, starts looking for his cane automatically, but it isn't there.
because the cane was buried with the real Viktor
"I need to go home," Viktor blurts. "I need to find Jayce."
"Oh, you don't want that guy," Jinx huffs, nose scrunching. "He's a freak. He's the one that did this."
Jinx gestures to pretty much all of him.
Viktor finally takes the time to look at himself and notices the hexgem enclosed in the center of his chest.
Oh, Jayce what have you done
He turns back to Jinx. "You fixed me as you say? Do you have notes?"
Jinx shoves a disorganized pile of papers at him scribbled with a mix of crayon, marker, and colored pencil.
Viktor looks so....disgruntled about what was used to write the notes, Jinx almost starts laughing.
"Silco has your journals" Jinx pouts a little, using air quotes to emphasize. "Said you wouldn't 'appreciate' my 'creative additions'."
Viktor hums and glances at her.
"He might be right. You're a genius, but our aims are polar opposites."
"HAH!" Jinx shouted, jumping from her chair. "You called me a genius! No take-backsiessss~"
She pressed a button on her desk that made an alarm noise. The label above had a stylized "S" and several hearts around it. Viktor assumed it must be a way for her to contact Silco.
Silco arrives almost in a hurry, coming down the steps and crossing the narrow "bridge" into the lab.
"Ah, you're awake," Silco says, running a hand though his hair as he gets closer. "Viktor, correct?" He holds out his other hand in greeting, a little startled at the strong grip from the automaton.
Strong and warm.
The Arcane's power is literally thrumming through him.
"I suppose that is the closest to who or what I am," Viktor explains.
"I am sorry we never met earlier," Silco says. "I always admired your work."
"So, you had her steal from me," Viktor muses, "instead of approaching me for a discussion. Interesting method for demonstrating admiration."
Silco shoots a look at Jinx.
"No. She broke into the lab on her own the first time. But I am the one who sent her to rescue you."
"Also bold of you to assume that your partner," Silco spat the word like a bad taste, "would even allow me to have an audience with you."
Viktor opens his mouth to defend Jayce reflexively, but falters. Remembers the bridge. The barricade. Being locked out of Piltover and having to wait to have his identity "confirmed" by Councilman Talis. How Jayce had dehumanised and vilified Zaunites to his face.
Looks down at is hand.
At what Jayce did to him.
Viktor pulls his hand back and remembers the coat around his waist. "Does this rescue happen to include clothing?"
"Of course." Silco heads back in the direction he'd come from and beckons "We take care of our own. Come and we'll get you sorted."
Viktor went to take a step forward but collapsed against the railing.
"Ah, a cane too, if possible," Viktor added, annoyed.
Silco looks at Jinx, clearly annoyed and expectant.
Jinx huffs and rolls her eyes before hopping up onto the work-table.
"The journals said his leg was fucked, so I worked that into the programming. You said to put him back the way he was!"

Im going to put a number in your mind it's a code for access to your subconscious mind.
Once I hypnotise you, I will give you a twelve digit number that number gives me access to your inner most self and the ability to make changes to you.
This number once you recite it back to me locks in place those changes.
I will reprogram your subconscious and rebuild your thoughts.
Recall that number now and become empty and still. You are now ready for instruction.

“"Of course." Calypso’s voice took on a sharper edge.
"Can you imagine losing your child?"
Leo's ears reddened. "Yeah. But was thinking, if we can get back to Festus, I could run some numbers, maybe reprogram his Archimedes sphere-"
Calypso threw in the towel, quite literally. It landed in the sink with a damp flop. "Leo, you can't reduce everything to a program."
He blinked. "I'm not. I just—"
"You're trying to fix it," Calypso said. "As if every problem is a machine. Jo and Emmie are in serious pain. Emmie told me they're thinking about abandoning the Waystation, giving themselves up to the emperor if it'll save their daughter. They don't need gadgets or jokes or fixes. Try listening." Leo held out his hands. For once, he didn't seem to know what to do with them. "Look, babe-"
"Don't babe me," she snapped. "Don't-"
"APOLLO?" Josephine's voice boomed from the main hall. She didn't sound panicked exactly, but definitely tense-somewhat like the atmosphere in the kitchen.
I stepped away from the happy couple. Calypso's outburst had taken me by surprise, but as I thought about it, I recalled half a dozen other spats between her and Leo as we had traveled west. I simply hadn't thought much about them because ... well, the fights weren't about me. Also, compared to godly lovers' quarrels, Leo and Calypso's were nothing.” (The Dark Prophecy, 76 + 77).
CALYPSO LEAVE MY BOY ALONE. THERE R SO MANY THINGS I WANNA SAY ABT THIS. LIKE ITS IN HIS GENETICS AND HES SAID MANY TIMES HE GETS MECHANICS MORE THAN HUMANS LEAVE HIM ALONE
im very angry now 😭😭😰😰

have i ever spoken about devola oc in detail. hi
they & their popola were kind of an odd pair? a bit defective but functional enough that they weren't recalled & reprogrammed, devola was the younger twin, otherwise look identical to other devolas/popolas
shades completely wrecked the area they were overseeing in an unprecedented, unpredictable way. they could do nothing, popola died & devola's connection to project gestalt was severed (one of them died so they as a pair stopped being "processed" as alive together. legally devola is deemed dead & unrecoverable) hence their not being reprogrammed after the events of replicant
obviously devola did not cope well with that but instead of going batshit bonkers like popola does in replicant they just. started wearing popola's identity. to the point they convinced themself they Are popola & it's devola who died. because it's easier to roleplay as someone else coping with grief than to deal with their own
wanders for a very long time. very very long time. about 12 thousand years LOL! it's a long time to deny your grief & be completely alone but i think they may actually have crossed paths with emil or absinthe/weiss. way after all replicants passed on though so they didn't meet kainé & nier
background element in automata. encountered eve's corpse &... restored him to a state of functionality through a mix of magic & tinkering. this was kind of bad for everyone involved & led to a near instant codependency situation that would never get resolved & eve is of course very antagonistic about it
eventually gets to a point where he confronts them about not actually being a popola model & just straightup lying (which is info he gets from having a weird. lingering connection to 9s. he doesn't really fully get the stakes of what that Means he just knows devola is fucking lying to him about his very identity while forcibly dragging him around & keeping him alive despite him having "nothing to live for" (he's found more to live for but isn't even close to being capable of processing that as being the case)) & like. engages in a fight with them because #betrayal. he's not as strong as he used to be though so he kind of loses pretty quickly
devola is defective though & parts of them start breaking down a little. they're too emotionally fucked by the Realisation Of That Being The Case (since. to them they Were popola. they'd blocked out the memory of losing popola entirely.) & kinda just. flee
takes some time for eve to find them but it's his turn to tinker with them so they don't die badly. well they do die but it's fine everyone can come back to life a little as a treat
it does.. sort of give them a "logic virus" but eve isn't exactly connected to the machine network or anything. it's mostly just there to keep them alive & doesn't control them into getting Worse or anything. could eve use that for evil in a toxic yaoi way? yeah but lbr hes not thinking about that. thats a very adam thing to do if you ask me
also devola is trans but with the whole obfuscating their identity to even themself they haven't exactly had time to work that out. kinda comes post-everything
they never get to a point of a properly functional dynamic but honestly i don't think either of them could have a properly functional dynamic with Anyone anyway so might as well be with each other
devola's "real" personality is kinda like if automata devola was ruder & far more emotionally unstable. doesn't have the inherent guilt baked into all other remaining twins so instead he's got a shit ton of grief & resentment for project gestalt doing that to him & popola. what is "that"? well (gestures vaguely) everything. he & eve absolutely fight physically regularly

PANDORA   DIRECTIVE   MEMORANDUM CLASSIFIED   —   INTERNAL   DISTRIBUTION   ONLY to   :   ALL AUTHORIZED OPERATIVES from   :   OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR subject   :   OPERATION BAMBOO CAGE + UNCOVERED CZERNOBOG PLANS
welcome back to atlantis, agents. as most of you are aware, the retrieval operation in czernobog's arishiyama facility has concluded ninety-six hours. thanks to the efforts of agents fenrir, fortis, hazmat, nightshade, smoke, torque, and toxin, all of the abducted agents have been successfully rescued. despite the brutality and torture they had to endure, achilles, berserker, lifeweaver, monolith, shriek, and volt are expected to recover and should be back on their feet within a few days. additionally, our agents also recovered THOR ( trauma - handling optimized responder ), a czernobog android created to assist with medical procedures and administering first aid. our fortitude division has successfully reprogramed this android and will now be helping our faith and acedia divisions in the medical bay or the other laboratories if needed. however, the most important technology retrieved is czernobog's cloning device. once our research and development division has figured out reverse engineering the machine, we expect it to be a game-changer for our future operations. but we cannot celebrate just yet. as much as we would love to extend your vacation, the world needs you. atlantis needs you. thanks to agent nightshade's findings during operation bamboo cage, we now have enough time to prepare for czernobog's upcoming assault to our beloved facility. non-combat trained personnel will be evacuated at the earliest convenience, however, the rest of us must make our stand here and exterminate them within our own home. we cannot give up atlantis. we cannot give up what they are after. two of czernobog's generals are expected in this assault : general alexei dragunov and general velezlav zherdev. gluttony agents were also sent on a recoinnasance mission into czernobog's temporary base in nassau and they have gathered the following : hundreds of soldiers with cybernetic enhancements are on stand-by for the strike, accompanying dragunov and zherdev are also an elite troop of soldiers and mercenaries - turned - mutants. they will not show mercy and neither should you. to prepare for czernobog's assault, all agents must report to the war room tomorrow at 9:00 AM. trial champions will report to pandora's box instead.
SEASON FINALE EVENT DETAILS UNDER THE CUT.
OPERATION THALASSOPHOBIA.
// 0000 HOURS — ATLANTIS IS BREACHED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED.
LEVEL ONE.
everyone wants to believe that this is still all part of the plan. to let dragunov and zherdev in, so they can be exterminated once and for all. but the chaos that ensue once czernobog's army was able to force themselves through atlantis' energy shield is still nothing short of claustrophobic and pure pandemonium. bulkheads blew outwards and hundreds and hundreds of cybernetically - enhanced czernobog soldiers came pouring into the hangar bay, moving fast, striking hard. pandora's first line of defense, androids and agents who are not assigned into the tactical pairs, try their best to hold them off, even when three more soldiers seem to pop up after getting rid of one. they quickly realize that czernobog's numbers are far too overwhelming— zherdev and dragunov's troops making it past them. still, they stand and fight. they continue to hold off as many as they can, to give everyone else less to deal with and a better fighting chance. behind zherdev and dragunov, the hangar drowns in screams and the clash of metals.
LEVEL TWO.
mandela and rift are on evacuation duty when zherdev and dragunov's mutant party enters level two. rift is tired, already opened so many portals that he is running on fumes— but mandela's touch rewrites his memory so he can forget his own exhaustion, to keep him pushing until the job is done. rift tries to stabilize a portal to transport the last evac group— a medtech and two data assistants— when the portal flickers out of existence before anyone could step in. and ahead of the hallway were the czernobog mutants : a blonde woman, one of the triplets, smirking after she made the portal disappear with her power negation. " aw, going somewhere ? " the triplets asks in unison. but the rest of them does not wait for an answer. a technopath hijacks every screen on atlantis, broadcasting the subsequent bloodshed. mandela and rift stand in front of those they were meant to evacuate, telling them to run away now. and run they did. until a man sprouts out from their shadows like an assassin, easily killing each one of them. mandela and rift, despite being rendered powerless, try to avenge them— but another mutant quickly turns moisture from the air into sharp icicles, impaling the two agents in various parts of their bodies. still, they stand and fight. even through the pain, even through the blood loss, mandela and rift still try to move. " this is very ... жалĐșĐžĐč. how do americans say it ... pathetic ? " the cryokinetic woman says with a small laugh before turning her head to another mutant in the party. " finish it for me ? i gotta go steal stuff. " the man with the perfectly styled golden hair scoffs, but he does not complain. he simply walks toward mandela and rift with quiet confidence. and quickly, he crushes mandela's head in one hand and punches a hole through his chest with the other. but rift's is much slower— the man seems to be enjoying the his screams as he ripped off each of rift's limbs before finally ripping him apart in perfect half. " everyone get into position. this place shall be ours soon. " he says, everyone dispersing into their assigned areas in atlantis. then, after the broadcast of mandela and rift's deaths cut out, a sloth agent speaks to the pandora agents through their comms. " they want to break our morale, agents. but we will not falter easy. we will mourn rift and mandela later. but now we must fight. eyes up. back straight. get to your posts. let them come. they want fear ? let's give them hell instead. " but in pandora's box, the trial champions await zherdev and dragunov, the responsibility of defending humanity's only hope on their shoulders now.
OOC INFORMATION.
whoa, agents of pandora ! we are already in the season finale of our second season. unlike last season's finale, we have home turf advantage so maybe there will not be as many deaths with this one. well, we'll see— because even i don't know what to expect with your duo prompts ! BUT HERE ARE SOME DASH EXPECTATIONS DURING THE EVENT :
retroactive threads. these are threads that can be set during the preparation phase before the assault. there's definitely that sense of impending doom in atlantis during this period, a wake-up call of this life after a long, fun vacation. maybe your muses are training, sparring, sharpening their weapons. or maybe they are at the bar, drinking one last time. or perhaps they having moments of vulnerability, maybe getting intimate with someone. you never know who you're going to lose, so now's the best time to get all those emotions out !
duo threads. as you can see in our operation thalassophobia channel, the duos will be assigned to a place within atlantis that they must protect. descriptions of the villains are provided, however, all outcomes are definitely up to you and your partner. you want to give your muse injuries ? go for it ! you want them dead ? go for it ! now's your opportunity to showcase your muse's combat skills and put them through the ringer with your own hands. you may also choose to thread this out on discord and just post what happens on the dash afterward. however, you can also just plot these out with your partner and post a summary on the dash after. if you still want to sign your muse up, please let me know before sunday so we can create a villain and designated area for you !
NOTE THAT IF YOU DIDN'T SIGN-UP YOUR MUSE FOR THE DUO PROMPTS, then your muse will automatically be part of atlantis' first line of defense at the hangar. you can choose to write a self - para about their experience there !
this season finale event officially starts on sunday may 25th with a tentative end date of june 7th. please tag any open starters with pandora.seasonfinale !

Hihi! New Fallout AU stuff! (again im making this w @leonnphobia and @hoodedgay)
First up, we have the Madame Mediocre
Tumblr media
Her line of robots were basically Fallout 4 Assaultrons, although they were all very flawed and bad, so they just kinda got recalled and that's that. She's a discarded unit, dismantled for parts and reprogrammed for entertainment, although, beimg half sentient still, she now bellows insults and bad fortunes at anyone who dares drop a few caps in the tip jar
... Okay! Then Tango and Pierre!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tango serves the same role, being Mingus' right hand man. They are vault-dwellers in this AU, adopting a lifestyle that's as close as the pre-war one as possible for them. When Mingus needs to talk buisness, she sends him to make the pitch :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pierre is a bartender in the Vault's bar. I think the mobheads wealthy enough to afford staying in the vault go there alot? This Pierre collects intel, secrets on everyone in his journal, to keep track, and if ever he's in a pinch and needs a favor. Mingus considers him an asset, and since Pierre seems on good terms with mob members oustide the vault (the goons are like- Equivalent to raiders, just way less competent and literally just paying Abel rent to use Nuka World as a base) She sends Pierre for more serious negociations with neighboring cities, and if they don't comply, he usually ends up being the harbinger of dire news... as he gives the signal to the mob to wipe out whole villages. He doesn't necessarily agree with all that, but he'd rather do that than have to go back to living in the wasteland.
Woof, I babbled alot there, sorry about that. Okay, that's all the Fallout AU i have for today, thanks tumblr!

What if Altair and Ezio time travelled to just after the events of AC3 and landed In the homestead?
Also, thoughts on what each assassin would be like as a babysitter?
I’ll try to combine the two prompts!
RatonhnhakĂ©:ton would be a bit surprised at first bc hey these are the guys he learned about while Achilles was teaching him about the history of the brotherhood. Then, he gets them acclimated and situated so they don’t have to sleep in the stables or anything, and when that’s sorted out he encourages them to help around the homestead since they’re part of that community and family now for the time being + Connor places emphasis on communal work and everyone helping each other.
Ezio isn’t as stoked about it at first but he actually quite likes helping with agriculture and farm work I think (especially considering after Revelations he’d rather retire and tend to a vineyard than do assassin stuff again.
AltaĂŻr is not the most sociable so he’s a little cagey around the new characters, but I think he’d admire the way RatonhnhakĂ©:ton runs the homestead as both a functional community built on mutually aiding one another as well as doubling as a secure hideout for the assassins that would be hard to locate and infiltrate. AltaĂŻr has had his own history with reforming the Masyaf brotherhood to emphasize freedom of choice and love for one another to build a healthier community, so he’d be proud of RatonhnhakĂ©:ton.
Also, one of these tasks in the homestead for sure involve babysitting/looking after Hunter or any other youngling on the homestead. I feel like the Homestead would have a “It takes a village to raise the next generation” type attitude (majorly encouraged by RatonhnhakĂ©:ton and influenced by his own upbringing) where everyone would look after each other’s kids and help the parents in raising em.
Ezio would be really good with kids I think, so looking after Hunter wouldn’t be an issue— growing up he’s had to look after both Claudia and Petruccio, and I feel he prides himself on that as being a good big brother, so he’d know the signs and basics of babysitting and he takes his responsibility very seriously. He’d also probably get on the other assassin’s asses on certain particulars like how to specifically hold a baby or what foods to use. He’s been around this bend the most out of the three, after all. That overconfidence can cost him though since every baby is different but he’s a bit too proud to admit that what Petruccio liked as baby food wouldn’t fly with another youngling.
RatonhnhakĂ©:ton is good with kids too, but he’s a little more cautious and wary and can come off as overprotective (baby proofing every square inch of wherever they’re at, worrying over every little sign, etc). He calms down though and becomes more comfortable with the rhythm of it, but generally he takes this job very seriously as well, especially since the parents trust him so much, and keeping that trust is incredibly important. He’d also be up for playing some games here or there playing with the kiddo, and humming/softly singing some lullabies he can recall in kanien’keha. Mothers trust him the most with their kids and that’s a big responsibility to shoulder, and he doesn’t want to let anyone down.
Altaïr is the one that probably feels the most awkward around kids and small babies, especially because he has to reprogram and unlearn from a lifetime of viewing himself as only useful as an assassin and a killer. Handling something so small and delicate seems so more daunting than tracking and killing a templar. So honestly, Altaïr would probably go stiff just. Holding the baby and hoping it stays asleep. Like a feinting goat with its legs locked. He knows the basics of babysitting and caring for a baby but he still feels cagey about it— to make up for it though, I feel like Altaïr would do a lot of research and reading on babies, their development, and how to best take care of them (or if he can’t find good books he’d go around and ask and make his own notes corroborated from what he has learned). He wants to do the best he can in the end, and it’d be really cute if one day Connor or Ezio (or both) accidentally walk in on Altaïr playing peekaboo or making silly noises to make the baby laugh because that’d honestly be the first time they’ve seen him so relaxed and more comfortable.

Wallabee Beetles - Teenage years
Tumblr media
Recruited Early, Broken Slowly: Cree and Chad got to him first. They played on his impulsivity, his thirst for action, and his frustration at always being treated as the "dumb muscle." Father didn’t just recruit him—he reprogrammed the way Wally saw the world, feeding him lies that made him believe KND had abandoned him.
Impulse Overdrive: Even as a ninja, Wally can’t shake his reckless nature. His missions under Father are brutal, but he never stops leaping into fights headfirst. The difference? He no longer has Hoagie and Kuki to catch him when he falls.
Struggles with Change (Even if He Hides It): If his usual seat at lunch is taken, if the mission plan changes last-minute, if someone moves his stuff without asking—he pretends it’s fine, but inside, it throws him off completely. He needs time to adjust, even if he won’t admit it.
Accidental Competence: Wally still doesn’t follow instructions well. He struggles with complex orders from Father’s higher-ups, learning only through instinct and muscle memory. He’s a menace in combat but a nightmare to train, frustrating even his own allies.
Conflicted Combat: Fighting Kuki and Hoagie is never clean. He hesitates. He pulls punches. He lets them escape when he shouldn’t. He doesn’t know why, only that it feels wrong every time he goes up against them.
Masked Emotions, Silent Screams: Wally doesn’t talk about his past. Ever. He hides his inner conflict behind short, clipped responses, throwing himself into training to drown out the noise in his head. When Kuki tries to get through to him, his only response is a sharp glare and an even sharper retreat.
Flash of Recognition: He’s skating through a mission when it happens. A trick, a movement—so familiar it knocks the breath out of him. It’s muscle memory from a time before Father. Before all of this. It haunts him for days.
Brash Loyalty, Wrong Cause: Wally is still loyal—to a fault. The problem is, he’s loyal to the wrong side. He fights for Father with the same fierce devotion he once fought for KND, blind to the manipulation keeping him there.
Special Interest: Fighting Styles & Stunts: Wally hyperfixates on martial arts techniques, parkour, and stunts. He watches the same clips over and over, breaking them down frame by frame. He can recall obscure moves instantly but can’t remember what homework is due tomorrow.
Disorganized Warrior: His personal space is a mess—plans scribbled on napkins, weapons tossed carelessly aside, training schedules forgotten. His commanders hate it. But when he needs to act, everything somehow falls into place.
“If I Can’t Say It, I’ll Show It”: Wally struggles to express his feelings with words, so he shows them in actions. He’ll shove extra snacks at friends, stand protectively between them and danger, or stay up all night perfecting a fighting move to impress them. His love language is doing things, not saying things.
Constant Fidgeting: He was never meant to be still. Even as a disciplined ninja, he bounces on his heels, cracks his knuckles, and taps his fingers against his weapons. It drives his teammates insane, but it’s the only thing that keeps him sane.
Literal Thinking, Tactical Errors: His commanders are sick of him taking their words at face value. Tell Wally to "take out the opposition," and he might just throw them out a window instead of stealthily eliminating them.
Humorous Deflections, Hollow Laughs: He still cracks jokes—but they’re colder now, drier. Humor was once his shield, but now it’s his mask, used to deflect from the nagging voice in his head whispering that he’s on the wrong side.
Reluctant Confrontation: Kuki won’t stop trying. Every mission, every battle, she calls out to him. "You know this isn’t you." His hands tremble on his weapons, his grip tightening as he forces himself to look away.
Hoagie’s Frustration, Kuki’s Hope: Hoagie wants to shake the sense back into him, drag him home kicking and screaming if he has to. But Kuki? She’s patient. She believes in him. She waits for cracks in his armor, whispering the truth he refuses to hear.
Path to Redemption, The Breaking Point: The moment everything snaps—Kuki is in danger. Father orders Wally to stand down. And for the first time since this nightmare began, Wally listens to himself. He moves without thinking, positioning himself between Kuki and the incoming attack. Father betrayed him. The moment the realization hits, there’s no turning back.
Empathic Sensitivity Masked by Cheerfulness: Kuki still smiles the brightest and laughs the loudest, but as a teen, it’s more of a shield than before. She feels everything—Abby’s tension, Wally’s frustration, Nigel’s distance—and internalizes it. She copes by throwing herself into fun, bright distractions, but when she’s alone, the silence is unbearable. She sends silly memes at 3AM not because she’s bored—but because she’s afraid someone else might be hurting, too.

Dichen Lachman Revisits Early Severance Days, Talks Gemmy vs Helly and Dollhouse Comparisons
It’s been almost a month, so, yeah — this interview mentions all kinds of spoilers from the Severance Season 2 finale, streaming on Apple TV+.
When Dichen Lachman paid a visit to TVLine’s New York office, 1) it was almost 16 years to the day that I published my first interview with her, and 2) the pop culture-verse was abuzz with theories about the Severance Season 2 finale, which dropped March 21.
In the video Q&A above, Lachman and I very quickly commemorate our “anniversary” before diving into all things Severance — starting with what all she was told about the role when she was first eyed for it some four-and-a-half years ago.
“I only had two or three [script] pages and absolutely no context about who this person was,” the Aussie actress recalls, “and she’s saying the most random, bizarre things!”
Lachman was allowed a bit more context after she and executive producer Ben Stiller navigated a potential scheduling conflict with her role in Jurassic World: Dominion. At that juncture, “he finally, reluctantly told me the Season 1 cliffhanger,” where Mark S. bellowed to a confused Devon and friends, “She’s alive!” — meaning, his “dead” wife Gemma.
Lachman then talks about the early direction she was given, on Ms. Casey’s overall vibe as Lumon’s wellness counselor. She hails Stiller’s “empathy and curiosity,” being an actor himself, and how he was able to play for her, on-set, the actual music that would score Ms. Casey’s sessions. “It really helped inform me of the pace and the tone,” she recalls.
After touching on how she developed Ms. Casey’s speaking voice, Lachman talks about first getting wind of Season 2, Episode 7, which introduced viewers to a lot of Gemma Scout’s other Innies. Until that point, “I was noticing I wasn’t in the scripts very much!” she says with a laugh. “Finally, [series creator] Dan Erickson, who’s just an extraordinary talent, mentioned, ‘We have this episode
.'”
Once apprised of what “Chikhai Bardo” would entail, “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel the pressure” — not just to do right by her castmates and bosses but “for the fans of this show,” Lachman admits. “It’s an intensity I haven’t experienced, the attention and love they have for the show.”
The dual Hollywood strikes of Summer 2023 and the pause in filming they dictated worked in Lachman’s favor, affording her time to speak at length with “Chikhai Bardo” director Jessica Lee GagnĂ© and co-writers Erickson and Mark Friedman. What’s more, “We were fortunate enough to go to the house [where the Gemma/Mark scenes filmed] and have rehearsal,” she shares, where “things did change a bit.”
Lachman then talks about working with teen icon Robby Benson as Dr. Mauer (“I’m from Katmandu, so I didn’t know who he was! But I did learn very quickly that he was an absolute legend and is antithetical to the character he’s playing”), and to what degree her stint as a regularly reprogrammed Active on Fox’s Dollhouse helped with her portrayal of so many Innies.
“There are similarities, absolutely
,” she allows, though Actives were even more detached from their true selves. “Maybe Dollhouse is the sequel in terms of the tech?” she quips.
From there, Lachman shares her take on the Season 2 finale (namely, whether Gemma saw the redhead Mark was with as any kind of threat)
explains why she enjoys “living in the not knowing” what’s to come (“I have complete faith in Dan and the entire team to come up with something that won’t let anyone down”)
and along those lines, gets candid about what all she knows about the Season 3 plan.
