Some really messy combos from some really messy run throughs after filming my very first video training session 🎉🎊 I'm working on developing a series of at home video training sessions for beginner and intermediate pole dancers, and I'm so excited to start sharing them! While these training videos are meant to compliment in person training at a studio or in private lessons each level will include tutorials of foundational upright, grounded, and floor moves as well as training sessions built around mini routines. There will also be floor and chair routines for dancers who don't have a pole at home. I'll be releasing the first one in the next couple of days! On 29 January this year I posted this elsewhere. This is just to say a huge thank you all for all the tips, inspiration, challenges and more. I came a long way this year, and my pole days for this year are counted now. Our holiday season has started, and then I can't walk through our guest area of our Self-Catering Accommodation. What an amazing day! I am so proud of my husband. Background - I took up Pole fitness last year April, at the age of 62. Being a small town, we do not have a pole studio here, but are fortunate to have a very talented instructor at our local gym. One pole, one part-time instructor only allows for one hour-long class, once a week. As life goes, we could not have class every week and things happen, the lovely lady injured her arm in November and no pole class since then. As polers do, I eyed every pole in eyesight, resulting in a wiggly washing pole in our backyard. My husband realised I am serious, and promised to make a plan. The only space in our house is upstairs, with a wooden floor without a solid base and brittle ceilings, so no X-pole. But never fear when hubby is near. We have a very spacious garage, and he said he'll do a DIY pole there. And at the place where we bought the stainless steel pole, he asked for certain parts to attach it to the ground. The elderly salesman asked what is the purpose of the pole, and he proudly said, without blinking an eyelid: "My wife does pole dancing, and she needs her own pole."
