Diana Silvers | she/her | female | hey, you know Libby Wyler? I’m pretty sure they’re 24 and have lived here for 5 years. They spend most of their time at The Pelican Town Bakery but also go to the docks at the beach a lot. if you ask me, they can be easygoing, but also withheld at times. If you want to get on their good side, give them a pumpkin pie next time you see them!
Full name: Elizabeth “Libby” Wyler
Age: 24
Birthday: January 27th, 1998
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/her
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: 5′7″
Favorite Item: Pumpkin Pie
Libby was born on January 27th, 1998 in Zuzu City to James and Amelia Wyler. She is their only child.
As a child, Libby was a bit more of a whirlwind than her parents had hoped for. She did well in school, but she was constantly being sent to principal’s office because of teasing and various pranks.
Going into middle school, she calmed down more, but went into her stubborn stage. She was constantly challenging her parents authority. In her eyes she knew better than anyone. She still kept a decent GPA, but was troubling in every other aspect.
Despite how difficult Libby could be, she had a really great relationship with her parents. When she wasn’t being brat, they had a really great time together. She was especially close to her dad and would often be a stinker to her mom, but then turn around and play the angel card on her dad.
By the time Libby reached high school, she’d calmed down a lot. She’d be sarcastic from time to time and wouldn’t hesitate to roll her eyes at you, but she was much calmer. Her and her parent butted heads a lot less, and she was doing really great in school. She’d managed to make a lot of friends and was generally liked. That didn’t mean she didn’t skip class from time to time, but her parents didn’t need to know that.
One day she decided to skip final period with some friends, and she honestly couldn’t have picked a worse day. Her father was in an accident that day and tragically passed away. Her mom tried to contact the school so she could pull Libby from class, but Libby was unfortunately no where to be found. Since she had been skipping, she ignored any calls that were coming from her mom and didn’t think much of it. Once the end of school came though, she was greeted by a very distraught mom when she got back to campus. The news she received completely shattered her world.
After Libby’s father passed away, her mom decided to move them to her home town, Pelican Town. Libby’s grandparents still lived there and ran a small bakery in town. After such a traumatic loss, being with family seemed like the best answer.
After having her entire world crushed Libby was, understandably, not an easy person to deal with. She often lashed out at people and became very withheld. Moving away from the life she’d always known angered her, even if deep down she knew it was what was best for her mom.
As soon as she turned 18, she packed up her things and left the small town to go to college. While in college, things didn’t get better for her. She had a hard time connecting with people so making friends was near impossible. The stress of being in college mixed with everything else she’d been going through was just too much. Eventually, her stress and anxiety culminated into a eating disorder. Over time it worsened more and more until eventually she had to be hospitalized for it. Once she was out of the hospital she was sent to a psychiatric ward to be treated.
Everything that happened brought a lot of stress and anxiety to her mom. So, to help bring some peace of mind to her mom, she dropped out of college and moved back to Pelican Town to be with her.
Now she has been living back in Pelican town for about five years and is currently helping her mom out at her family’s bakery (even if she’s not very good at baking). She’s doing a lot better than she had been a few years prior, but it can still take a little bit for her to open up to people.
Most of her time is either spent at the bakery, or spending time with Haley and or Alex. Despite not getting along in high school Haley has become one of her bestest friends and is currently the only one that knows about what happened to Libby.

leah never had an easy life, per say, but it wasn’t as hard as it could have been. they were raised by two relatively nice parents who supported them in most of their pursuits. their parents enjoyed their artwork, but they assumed it’d go nowhere. leah set out to prove them wrong.
when they were in high school, they were proud of their art, showing it off with little to no problem. however, the school bullies never really liked it, and at one of the art shows leah had signed up for, the bullies trashed their art. after that, leah had a lot hard of a time showing off their work.
when they went to art school in zuzu city, though, they tried to find their rhythm. leah got a job working at a joja mart to pay for their apartment; then, they met kel who was fairly well off. wanted to marry leah, but leah never really committed as much as they could have.
kel never really supported leah’s art, but even still, leah decided to leave the city and head for quieter woods. they asked kel to come, but kel said no. so, leah left for pelican town anyway, picking up and not telling kel where they went at all.
leah only told their parents where they went, and the past eight months have been bliss. if leah could only get over her fear of publishing or selling her art... oy...

BIOGRAPHY
tw: death, car accidents, medical, medicine
roderick, roddy to his friends, was born in grampleton to martin and kim wright, and he was adored by his parents. not long after, though, roni came along, and they took a little bit of spotlight from roddy. however, the man never held it against his sibling.
since they were so close in age, roddy and roni were inseparable, often spending all their time together as opposed to spending them with other kids. still, roddy was fairly popular in middle and high school due to his good looks. he rose high in the ranks.
he was valedictorian at his school, and he went on to get his bachelor’s in pre-med, graduating summa cum laude from his choice of college. for med school, he traveled to zuzu city, and in zuzu city, he met judith pascal. he fell absolutely in love with her, and just before he started his residency, he asked her to marry him.
it was not to last, as during his residency, he had a particularly hard death on his hands. a young woman had died from her wounds in a car accident. rod had been unable to save her, and he took her death pretty hard. unable to deal with that and unable to get therapy, his relationships started to fall apart. he finished his residency having no friends and no fiance. he had broken the engagement off.
as soon as he could, he dipped to pelican town, wanting someplace to practice easy medicine without so much death. he could have gone back to grampleton, but he didn’t want to see his parents and feel what he perceived as disappointment. so, he just moved away and cut contact with most everyone except his family.
he lives in pelican town now, behind pierre’s general store and close to the clinic. he is nice and friendly to everyone, finally able to have gotten some therapy in his last years of residency. he can at least socialize and go back to some normalcy, but he’s still pretty scarred from his past.

"oh! i was just daydreaming about the circulatory system and forgot what i was trying to do.”
tw: anxiety, medical emergency, death
little harvey wasn’t always crippled by anxiety. in fact, the first few years of his life were wonderful. he was the second child born to mr. and mrs. coleman, following his sister patty and preceding his sister louise. they were pretty close - he got picked on by his older sister when they were growing up, but that wasn’t atypical at all for siblings their age.
it wasn’t until he reached elementary school that tragedy struck his family. harvey was seven when he got off the school bus to find his father face down on the floor of their living room. he was breathing, but barely. harvey called 911 and his mother, stuttering out that his dad needed help through his sobbing. unfortunately, by the time the paramedics got there, it was too late. mr. coleman had been taken by a very sudden stroke.
harvey developed horrible, crippling anxiety thereafter. there had been no way he could’ve known or expected this to happen, but he felt guilty nonetheless for not taking notice that his father was developing early warning signs. it also brought forth a new fear that he’d never experienced before. a near nonstop, impending sense of doom. he never knew when the last time he’d see his mother would be, his sisters, his distant family or his school friends. it launched him into a pretty constant state of terror that only worsened as he got older.
he was a very good student, very bright and very motivated to accomplish things in school, but the older he got, the worse he got at forming meaningful bonds with people - or making and maintaining friends. so while he excelled in his classes, he felt himself getting lonelier and lonelier. even his relationship with his family began to falter bit by bit too - not because he wanted to or because he loved them any less, but his own anxiety forced a wedge between him and his loved ones. it was a hard and lonesome life he’d forced himself into.
it took a few years, but harvey eventually came to the conclusion that he wanted to pursue a life in medicine. if he could help others be healthy, try to help anyone from suffering the same fate he and his family did with his father’s sudden death, he would. he hoped it might relieve some of the lingering guilt he’d never been able to shake off.
it worked a little bit, but the anxiety and guilt he picked up during that stage of his life was always going to be a part of him. talking about his dad is still really hard, and he’s a little over cautious about his loved one’s health and safety. he’s definitely too anxious to be overbearing, but he can’t help but to see the worse case scenario in every situation and live in utter fear of it. still, he found quickly that he adored his job as a doctor. helping others became his passion as soon as he’d set his mind to it.
after practicing in the city for a number of years, harvey accepted a job offer to open a clinic in the small little town of pelican city. he jumped at the opportunity. it was going to be much, much different, and he knew he definitely wouldn’t be making as much money as he had been before, but taking care of a select group of people, coming to know and care for them, watching out for them on a day-by-day basis, sounded like something he wanted to do. so he moved out to pelican town at the beginning of 2021, and he’s very happily planted his roots in his clinic and the teeny apartment that was situated above it.

“i dropped everything, and moved to the place where i truly belonged.”
mary was born and raised in zuzu city, to a pair of hardworking parents. they were your traditional family in just about every sense - dad worked, mom stayed home with mary, and mary went to school and strived to get straight a’s. they lived a pretty simple, cookie-cutter life in their little town home, but they were happy.
from the very get-go, mary was a delightfully happy kid that wanted to take part in everything. she joined every extra curricular she possibly could, even if she didn’t really care about it. (dictionary skills? yeah right, c’mon mary) she just liked being included and she liked learning new things! as long as she was busy and in decent company, she was happy.
applying herself was her favorite thing to do, so when she was getting close to the end of high school, she started looking at job opportunities in the area. as much as she wanted to travel and do more with her life, she figured staying close to her parents when she was so young would be smart. so it took her a while to land on a career path, but she eventually found a job that she thought would be fun: travel agent. the job description was glowing - help people find their dream destinations, watch them living their dreams and having fun. it sounded fulfilling, and like something to pay the bills in the meantime.
it wound up being more boring than she could’ve imagined. all the fun, exciting, fulfilling opportunities promised to her at her job wound up dissipating into desk work. cancelling reservations, booking tickets, researching bundle discounts. the most fun she had at that job was the boss’ birthday where a balloon artist came in to entertain them, but they were told after the fact that having balloon animals on their desks counted as distracting décor and that they had to trash them. to put it simply, it sucked, and every other job opportunity that presented itself sucked equally.
it wasn’t until mary was twenty-four, her soul mostly sucked out by her job, that a conversation with her mom spurred an idea. her mom’s college best friend (a woman she knew as aunt lacey, despite only being facebook friends) was selling her father’s farm out in pelican town, a decently long bus ride away. mary hadn’t done a hard day’s labor in her life, yet she used her savings to buy the old, overgrown plot of land and moved out there the following month.
it took... a while, but mary fell into a groove at the farm. she figured out growing crops, got the hang of raising animals, and even found farmers made a pretty penny selling produce out in the big city. it was a huge adjustment, only made possible by her dear friends and neighbors amelia and sofia, but she got there. she adores her little, quaint life in pelican town, and feels like she finally found the place she belongs.

“i’m feeling an urge to go shopping. ugh! i wish there was a mall around here.”
haley is the second born child in the burton family, following her sibling emily by a few years. the burtons were wealthy couple; their homey, comfortable residence in pelican town wasn’t due to a lack of funds, it was just because they loved the town and wanted their kids to grow up in that welcoming environment
that didn’t stop them from traveling all over with their daughters, though! haley and emily did a lot of exploring around with their parents as they were growing up, and always got whatever their little hearts desired. haley definitely grew up spoiled; trips to the mall were frequent any time her sights were set on getting something. her adoration for photography was born from this very pattern; her parents assumed it’d be a phase she grew out of within weeks, as most things she set her sights on were, but she grew attached to the disposable camera they bought her and continued using up all the film on them until her parents bought her a proper camera. she’s since upgraded multiple times, but her trusty old first camera is still on display proudly in her bedroom.
growing up, haley befriended alex mullner, another pelican town local that was the same age as her, and they were fast friends. he was the only person that could handle her, so to speak - he either didn’t take her shit or just let it roll off her back. they were truly a match made in heaven, and that much was evident to the both of them the older they got. so much so that they decided to start dating in high school. things were great for a while, haley was happy, but all things that glitter are not gold.
as their relationship progressed, it started feeling worse and worse. alex was happy - he was planning their future, molding his life around the idea of marrying her and having kids together in the future. to him, everything was perfect between them. haley was less sure, and couldn’t put her finger on exactly why for a long time. but a while after graduating high school and settling into her adult life, so to speak, it hit her. she was a lesbian. and as much as she loved alex, she didn’t love him in the way he needed her to and the way she so desperately wanted to.
it was hard, but she came out and they broke up. it put a slight strain on their friendship, for sure, but like with everything, they got past it and have resumed their inseparable friendship since. he’s still her favorite person in the world, in spite of their past.
since, haley has come out publicly and is no longer ashamed or worried about what people think. it’s part of her, and if anyone has an issue with it, that’s on them, not her. she’s fallen right back into her typical girly, snooty, ostentatious personality. a few years back, she and emily’s parents left pelican town to travel the world independently, leaving the house to the girls. haley adores the extra freedom and the allowances they send the kids every week. she’s attached to her camera and attached to her clothes, and she’s not afraid to judge your choice in such. saying she’s an acquired taste is an understatement tbh.
