AHH i’m so happy there’s other shippers! i will gladly share my idea for them…

For the time that the two did know each other, Peppernut only ever saw Dreamweaver as a friend. Best friend…? She wasn’t so sure about that, but he did grow on her very fast, and she was devastated to know that all her memories of him would be discarded when that time came. I feel like if she had any sliver of a memory left of him (that is actually meaningful and not the passive memory of a dream like she ended up with) I feel like she would be constantly thinking about him, wondering where that dream exactly came from… and who that fairy was. But all-in-all, she cherished him and the times they had.

With Dreamweaver, he was very unsure on letting a cookie around and help him with a job he’s been fine at for centuries, but once he got used to Peppernut and her little charms he found himself missing her whenever she left for the day. I’d like to think that whenever days were slow, he would spend some time in the Dreamlight Gallery forming different sculptures of peppernuts (the cookie), ribbons, and ornaments with his magic and the clouds that floated around his abyss. He may also have set up a few little play dates just for fun, probably not with any intent to invite her over but just to subside his thoughts of her (it probably made them worse).

When her memory of him and their time together slipped away, Dreamweaver’s realisation on the way he felt about her finally struck. Peppernut had been the one cookie (if the only) who he had truly gotten to know and interact with, the one who truly got to know him, and who actually had a constant and conscious thought about him. He wasn’t just a dream to Peppernut, she wasn’t just a dream to Dreamweaver, they had a connection, and that connection was one Dreamweaver didn’t realise he had been longing for till it was gone.

THANK U FOR THE ASK i can talk about this game for ages. i might make headcanons for these two on a separate post, but i sprinkled in a little bit in here just for ur ask anon…

also, YES. he’s such a dummy for making her forget all about this but at the same time it sorta does make sense. it was hinted that if he were to get rid of everyone else’s memories of these events then that would mean hers would not be salvaged either. he, unfortunately, had no choice.

it’s a bittersweet ending but it makes for some great au’s i think. also, it’s great for character analysation! dreamweaver is an interesting guy, and his ability + the dreamscape as a whole is something that needs to be studied!

finally, I thought I was the only person who shipped peppernut and dreamweaver lol they just made so much sense to me after the quest ... they're paired in my head like stollen and strawberry cream ... I think it's cute that peppernuts costume is her dressed up all pretty in dreamland just to see dreamweaver <3

right? i’m really surprised that there isn’t as much people shipping them, both eastern and western fanbase. maybe the story didn’t really stick with a lot of people, maybe the characters weren’t as interesting to them, but i do agree that they work very nicely together. pepperweaver shippers unite!!!

i’ve been thinking of designing dreamweaver his own little costume to go in theme with peppernut’s… it would be very cute if both of them were dressed up for a tea party. i think dreamweaver certainly would dress up for one if peppernut asked nicely haha.
