Here's my King of Pentacles card!

Definitely an obvious choice, but I went with Akiyama for this one. If you're interested in reading more about the King of Pentacles and my reasoning for choosing Akiyama for this card, I'll put that under the cut:

Upright, the King of Pentacles is the ultimate rags-to-riches story. He did not inherit his obscene wealth. He earned it through his own hard work. But unlike other wealthy individuals who come from similar circumstances, but lose their connection to the less fortunate, the King of Pentacles has chosen to uplift those around him and share his wealth.

In this generosity we see someone who has faith in their ability to make enough money to replace what they're giving away. To the King of Pentacles, the lives of the people he's helping are much more precious than the numbers in his bank account.

The King of Pentacles accrued his wealth in the traditional ways-- he's not one to gamble and he doesn't typically indulge in frivolous spending. Through his hardships he has learned the importance of controlling his spending and investing wisely. Showing off or taking risks on a whim no longer appeal to him. He would much rather use his money to help people and actually make a difference in other people's lives.

Emotionally, he's not all that in touch with his own feelings or the feelings of others. This is largely due to this king feeling like he has other things he'd like to devote his attention to. While he definitely cares about his loved ones and the people he serves, this can manifest in criticism or advice that you might not have asked for.

Reversed, we see a King who no longer supports his people. Whereas the upright King of Pentacles is generous and confident that he will make back everything he gives away (and then some), the reversed King of Pentacles sees no value in generosity. His controlled spending habits have become penny-pinching and cheap and his confidence is replaced with an almost desperate need for wealth in all its materialistic qualities.

Despite his obsession with all things commercial, this reversed king doesn't have that much money. It seems to just slip out of his hands, being spent on gambling or other impulse-purchases that he can't afford.

His previous lack of emotional intelligence is now downright cruelty. He is aware of others feelings and thoughts, but he simply does not care. He is now completely inwardly focused, choosing to take what he wants regardless of how it affects others.

Akiyama definitely fits the upright version of the King of Pentacles. Considering he runs a loan business that doesn't charge any interest, I'm not saying anything all that revolutionary.

Reversed though, I think there's a more interesting discussion to have about Akiyama's character and how it relates to this tarot card.

So I'm not a huge fan of the way Akiyama treats women in Yakuza 4. For one, the male customers he has get these personalized tests that make them face the issues that caused them to seek a loan in the first place, but then for the women it's just "work at my hostess club, go on a date with me, or be willing to do sex work". When looking at Akiyama's treatment of women in 4, specifically Yasuko, we see a man who wants something and engineers situations to manipulate the woman into giving him what he wants. Yasuko says so herself that she can't really decline a date with the person who decides whether or not she gets the loan.

And while Akiyama isn't evil or even necessarily doing this consciously, we see someone who is willing to hold the promise of a loan over the heads of the people who have something he wants.

Akiyama wants to help people and that's great, but there's also a dark side to his generosity.

Random Headcanons about Miguel and Socorro

Miguel was thrilled when Socorro was born. He immediately volunteered to help his parents out with absolutely everything and anything they needed to take care of her. Well, maybe not changing her, but absolutely everything else. Rosa warned him that the novelty of babysitting her would probably wear off in a couple of months, but for Miguel, it never did.

Socorro is Miguel's favorite human on the planet (although, you know, his great-great-grandfather & Mama Coco are close seconds). He'll do anything for her. In his eyes, she's perfect. He's always getting her random treats and taking her on trips just because. He adores her.

Socorro, for her part, idolizes her older brother. She wants to be just like him. One time she asked her mother to make her a mariachi suit, complete with hat, so she could look just like Miguel did when he was performing. Five-year-old Socorro looked absolutely adorable in her little mariachi suit.

Most siblings fight when they're kids, which is a very normal sibling thing to do. But Miguel and Socorro rarely, if ever, did, possibly partially because they're far enough apart in age that most of the things siblings fight over didn't apply to them.

Anyone who's ever friends with Miguel knows about his little sister within the first 5 minutes of talking to him. They'll casually ask him about his family, and half his answer will be taken up by Coco, complete with photos.

You know how Miguel told Mamá Coco everything? Well, once Coco died, and he needed a new confidant to tell his secrets to, he turned to his new baby sister. When he's telling her about their family at the end of the movie - it sure looks like he talks to her a lot, no? And she's named after Coco anyway. So he tells her all about his day. 

Except that while Mamá Coco wouldn't, and later perhaps couldn't, tell people what Miguel had told her, and in the beginning baby Socorro, not understanding what Miguel was saying and not being able to talk anyway, couldn't tell anyone either.... Babies grow up. 

Miguel didn't quite register this, not even as Coco learned how to walk and talk. Until... 

"Miguel thinks Maria in his class is pretty," three-year-old Coco announced one day at breakfast, to Miguel's chagrin and everyone else's laughter.

He plans everything around her. He makes sure she's always happy; he never wants her to be unhappy. When he's older and a famous musician, he'll plan his performances around whether or not she wants to come, and if so, if she can easily get to wherever it is, down to what time it starts and ends. One time he cancelled some performances and postponed recording something and reschedules all his meetings and came home apropos of nothing just because in their last conversation Luisa happened to mention that Coco was missing him.

If it comes down to it, Socorro believes Miguel's story about going to the LotD. Whether or not he told the rest of his family, he told Socorro. I think this is canon. He tells it to her as a bedtime story. And at first, she believes him, because toddlers believe everything you tell them. As she gets older, she gets too old for bedtime stories, and she doesn't really think of the one Miguel used to tell her. But if she ever thinks about it, she'll conclude that he told her the truth. Why?

Because he's never lied to her. He answers all her questions honestly, and never lies or skips the truth about anything. If something is too frightening or too complicated for a young child to understand, he'll explain whatever it is in a child-friendly why, but he'll never actually lie about it. Socorro knows that he always tells her the truth, and trusts him. He's never lied about anything else to her, ever - so why would he have lied about this?

𔓘 a/n : I've been wanting to write for our dear zuha for quite awhile just didn't know what time I'd do it or what it would be about but here we are.

People always have said to you and Kazuha that y'all were the perfect match due to your differences. And you and kazuha agree 100% she's like an angel from up above always cheerful and happy you know the social one, while your quiet and calm & keep to yourself not much of the social type.

Though you guys are different it's what attracts you guys to each other. Zuha is like an energy source she always puts a smile on people's faces by just being in the room/area, there's never a dull moment with her. She's an F so it makes sense.

While you on the other hand are quiet and don't like being the center of attention hides away from conversations and other things that include engaging with others. You're not depressed or anything you just enjoy being in your own little bubble away from others.

Zuha always tries to get you to do activities and go out more so you can be open to new things she's always like, ~it will be funn trust me~ and ~you'll make a lot of friends~, you trust her of course you do without a doubt you're just not a social person so it can be hard for you to engage with other people and do certain outdoor activities.

You aren't that boring though! You like to read and build things, you also like painting & sketching. You like to recommend books to zuha that you'll think she'll like to read (though you doubt she'll come around to it). You also like to do online shopping, zuha has got you into that and you've enjoyed it so far, you'll go on there and look for clothes with Kazuha.

Though there are those people who like to say bad things about you and kazuha's relationship like, "she seems so cold Kazuha deserves more", or "they are the worst match ever! total opposites", you and Kazuha ignore what they say because you know that isn't true and that they're just jealous you have what they don't.

You guys do things for each other that many people don't see when you guys are at home together. Like Kazuha making you heart shaped pancakes in the Morning to show how much she loves you, or her buying you a new book she'd know you'd enjoy because you're into that kind of thing.

They don't see you putting on clothes like dresses and skirts and doing a runway in your living room for Kazuha because you know that'll make her happy, or the times when you brush kazuha's hair after her shower while humming a nice tune to her. They don't see those things so who are they to judge something they don't know about.

There was also this time you dressed Kazuha up as you and told her to read for 30 minutes, it was one of the best days for you. You laughed while she went through what she calls her misery she couldn't even read for 30 minutes!! She was bored 5 minutes in saying "how much longer of this I'm suffering!!", and then 15 minutes she had put the book down and was staring at you with puppy dog eyes hoping you'd make her stop reading. "Can i stop now I'm bored and this is not my cup of tea", she said, doing her fake sad face.

Of course you didn't give up I mean how could you! You were enjoying her so called misery of not wanting to read a book and she was dressed just like you it made your day. You enjoyed all 30 minutes of it telling her "you'll be fine read the book!! It's about ballet", and "the puppy dog eyes won't work for this one", while smiling and turning back to your book.

You may act differently when at home with Kazuha and in public with Kazuha and that's because at home she's your safe place and she brings out a lot of things you didn't know you had inside of you some you will show the world in the future some you won't. Who cares it's your life and if you decide to be more social at home where your comfortable then that's what you'll do.

Kazuha loves that you open up to her and are willing to try new things with her and she loves you for it. She loves you open up sides of her she has never shown to herself or anybody else she wants you to her forever. She loves you more than you know it and she's willing to do anything to forget what anyone else says if you asked her to marry you today she'd say yes no hesitation laced in her voice.

You may be quiet and keep to yourself but when it comes to Kazuha you are more than that. Kazuha may be a ball of sunshine and a social gal but when it comes to you she is more than that, what they say is true!

Holding a bouquet of flowers you ran around the streets bumping into a few people, the bouquet so huge that you couldn't even properly see the road in front of you.

"I'm sorry!", You shouted after bumping into the fifth person, thankfully the sun has set otherwise all those people might form a communion and beat you in the middle of the road, taking a final turn, you ran even faster towards the venue.

"What took you so long?!" Someone called you from behind, siding the bouquet slightly you saw the person's face, a sarcastic smile adorning your face, "Ahh... Jackson Wang...Do you want me to slam these flowers on your head?".

"Of course not! Those flowers are looking perfect exactly where they are", He surrendered raising his hands, he examined your dress from head to toe, "You were running in a floor length dress?".

"I'm just gonna kill that Mushroom head!", You growled shoving the bouquet in Jackson's hands, "Woah, it's actually heavy, how did you even manage to carry it and run around", he praised you.

"Don't be so flattered, I've bumped into five people on my way, almost got hit by a pole three times, and even stumbled multiple times due to my heels", You huffed in annoyance.

"Life is hard I guess, I thought Yugyeom went to take the flowers?", He questioned.

"He backed off to flirt with girls, He's dead meat for sure once I find him", You said roaming your eyes in hopes for finding your good for nothing brother.

"I think I saw him around the drinks section—" That's what you needed to hear, lifting up your dress a little you walked away, "Jackson please take those flowers to my stupid friend I've to see my beloved brother, thank you...".

Standing a metre away from Yugyeom, you saw him standing in the centre with two girls surrounding him, one with blonde hair seemed to be too much immersed into the conversation or maybe into Yugyeom, she ran her well manicured nails on the fabric of his shirt. Another brunette had her arms linked with him.

A pure wave of disgust hitting you seeing your brother's not very well flirting skills, it was so clear from the body language of those girls that they wanted nothing but to get into your brother's pants.

You strode towards Yugyeom shoving the two girls, holding onto his collar harshly, "How dare you?! How dare you do this to me? To us?", You sniffed loudly, gladly the party had some loud music and busy people who weren't really paying any attention to your tantrums.

"W—What?" He stammered shocked to see you crying. The girls glared at you ready to claw your eyes out, but you faced them tears brimming in your eyes, they seemed to be taken back.

"Please don't get lured by him and his sugar coated words", You glared at him, "We dated for two years, even after being in a relationship with me he cheated on me with multiple other girls and when I told him that I was pregnant, he left me....", You sobbed hugging the blonde, "Please don't trust him, he's a player, top notch....".

"What the fuck are you saying n—", He yelled.

"See now he's mad at me because I revealed his true face....".

"Yugyeom, I'll see you later I think my mother is looking for me!", The blonde said, walking away while the brunette advised, "You shouldn't do that to a girl, she's so pretty why don't you just accept her and your baby".

"Wait!" He yelled but none of them turned back, "The fuck would you say something like that Noona!".

Wiping away your tears you scoffed, "I have every rights to do what I did I'm your elder sister, plus that's what you get for sending me to bring those flowers!".

"What?! Now because of your little revenge, I've lost the chances of actually being with someone", he grimaced staring at the girls from back. Smacking his head, you frowned, "I can't believe that you're my brother, your standard is so low. If nothing you want to date playgirls, eww Kim Yugyeom!".

"One orange juice please", Turning around you asked the bartender.

"So now we are talking about standards hm? Atleast I have guts to confess while on the other hand you don't even have the guts to confess to—", You hushed him pressing your palm to his lips, slowly shaking your head.

"Don't...Not today atleast...hm...", Your gaze turning utter soft. He nodded with a defeated sigh.

This party was thrown for no one else but your bestfriend to celebrate his success for starting his own company, and you didn't want anything to go wrong.

"Noona, Why is Jackson hyung roaming like a lost puppy with those flowers?" Yugyeom asked pointing at Jackson, his words made you choke on your drink.

Great! You forgot to tell Jackson where to actually bring that bouquet. Since those flowers holds a special place in your bestfriend's heart you had to bring it for him especially when today's such a fortunate day for him.

"You idiot those are not just flowers, those are those flowers which I asked you to bring and you ended up here to flirt with bitches", You rebuked glaring at your brother.

"Oopsie", Yugyeom giggled sipping on his cocktail bringing his free hand to catch his ears.

"I'll be back", You rushed towards Jackson grabbing the flowers from him, "Thanks Jackson, you're the best!".

Stepping inside the mansion, you climbed the stairs leading to the terrace in a hurry, You knew his mansion like the back of your hand, how can you not when you grew up playing in this place, "Damn these heels and damn the heaviness of the bouquet".

Panting heavily you managed to push open the door to the terrace, but you forgot to notice a marble piece ahead putting your foot inside you lost your balance, preparing yourself for a hard hit, you closed your eyes.

"Be careful", A pair of arms catching you few feet up from the surface, "You should see and walk, what if you get hurt?".

"Thanks for saving me again my savior", You chuckled picking the flowers from ground handing him, "And here you go with your purple roses".

"Thanks.....actually I want to show you something", He added, putting his hands on your shoulders guiding you towards a small table which was decorated with scented candles and flowers with two chairs, on four corners it had pillars with lightings, rose petals sprawled on the ground.

Your eyes lit up at the arrangement, everything looked so romantic and perfect, walking closely you inspected the entire set up, your eyes landing on a small red velvet box.

"I can't believe it that you did everything on your own, it's so beautiful!" You squealed in excitement, clapping your hands.

"I'm glad you liked it", He said, his hands shoved in his dress pants pockets, "It really took a lot in me to go this far".

Holding the velvety box, he opened it taking off a beautiful diamond ring from it, extending it towards you with a soft smile, eyeing the ring lovingly you declared, "It's so beautiful....".

"I know. Do you think Somi will like it?" He exclaimed with hopeful eyes. Holding his hands gently, you whispered "She'll love it".

"Do you think she'll say yes to me?", He smiled nervously locking eyes with you, searching for some hope.

"She'll say yes to you, trust me", You breathed, squeezing his hands lightly in a reassuring way with a gorgeous smile.

He grinned happily hugging you to his chest with his hand holding your head, your nostrils filling up with his cologne which always managed to drove you into frenzy, for a moment you didn't want him to let you go, his embrace being your safe place.

Gulping an invisible knot in your throat you pulled away from his embrace, "Look it's already 7:50....I must go... Somi might be here any moment, don't screw this up, be a man and get your girl".

You turned to leave but he held your wrist turning you over to face him again, You confusedly glanced where he was holding your hand.

"Thank you for bringing these purple roses, they're very special to me".

"I'm your bestfriend stupid, don't thank me for it".

Still with your wrist in his hands, he leaned over to pluck a purple rose from the bouquet, "Here.... to the most wonderful person in my life", he extended the rose for you to hold.

You could feel your eyes getting glossy as you stared at the rose and then at him, "Thank you", You mumbled taking the flower from his grasp.

"All the best Jinyoung".

Stumbling your way downstairs, you locked yourself inside the library, your tears finally streaming down your face, the purple rose in your hand making you sob harder.

This is it. This is where your heart ends, you finally gave the person whom you have loved all your life, your first friend, your only bestfriend, your first love and maybe the only person you'll ever love in your life, Jinyoung to someone else.

"One of us had to sacrifice and I can't see you getting heartbroken, so instead I'll give up on my love for you.... Jinyoung. Atleast one of us must get their love", You cried bringing the rose to your lips.

From theguardian.com March 2014 Emma Watson has criticised the "dangerously unhealthy" image projected by the fashion industry and said the pressure to look perfect has taken its toll on her. The actor has also described her doomed attempts to merge into the background as a student at an American university, where she found herself being trailed everywhere by British photographers. After the recent New York premiere of Noah, she tweeted a photograph of the array of cosmetics – and a guardian angel pin – that she said were essential aids to her flawless appearance, and another of herself in a backless dress captioned: "I did NOT wake up like this." The actress said she is better at taking criticism these days than she once was. "As a younger woman, that pressure got me down, but I've made my peace with it. With airbrushing and digital manipulation, fashion can project an unobtainable image that's dangerously unhealthy. I'm excited about the ageing process. I'm more interested in women who aren't perfect. They're more compelling." Watson became famous playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies and has been constantly in work since. She is about to start filming a thriller, Regression, by Alejandro Amenábar and is also trying to complete her degree at Brown University, Rhode Island. She enrolled in 2009 for what would have been a four year course, but has taken several breaks for film work, and spent a year studying at Oxford. "After Harry Potter, all that mattered was university," she said, in an interview with the Sunday Times. "It wasn't always easy to break down barriers, as having men from the British press following me with cameras didn't help my mission to integrate. The American press, by contrast, "afforded me so much privacy", but her fellow students recognised her at once. "On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned around to look at me. I had to say to myself 'it's OK, you can do this'. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage."

GUARDIAN COMMENTERS SAY: So something like this Burberry campaign she did a few years ago? Hypocrisy at its finest. She flaunts with the fashion industry and enjoys its perks all the time, but hops on the 'female beauty' bandwagon and enjoys a moan when it suits her. I'd find her socially conscientious pleas convincing if she hadn't profited in the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) from the big, bad, evil fashion/beauty industry. A few years ago, Emma Watson appeared in high-profile advertising companies for posh Paris fashion house L'ancome. I'm guessing she was handsomely remunerated for her 'work'. Certainly she was not forced into letting her photo shopped image be used to market expensive cosmetics and perfumes. Did she only discover how 'oppressive' the fashion industry is when L'ancome cancelled her lucrative contract? Ms Watson is essentially a third-rate actress, and her pronouncements on large and complex issues, such as the pressures on women, are so idiotically vapid that one is brought to conclude that she really can have very little aptitude for higher education. I mean, her comments are hardly indicative of an educated person, or even of a moderately literate or intelligent person. By the way, I understand that she spent a year at Oxford as a visiting and/or exchange student while enrolled at Brown. How come? She is a British national, and so by rights she should not have gone to Oxford on a visiting/exchange student programme, irrespective of whether she happens a student at an American university. If I am wrong about this, then I should like to have some explanation as to her status at Oxford, and how she came by it. Otherwise, I suppose that one might be forgiven for thinking that it is yet another case of a once respectable academic institutions bowing down before the false idols of celebrity and money. (This is quite apart from the fact that all that one has read about her since she began life as a student concerns her acting career, her modeling and her various boyfriends.) SOME COMMENTS FROM THE DM ARTICLE Notice how it's always people who are very aware of how attractive they are that babble on about how it's okay to have physical blemishes? I'd like to see an ugly person say the same thing. Only someone young, beautiful and with her whole life before her can say that, and mean it. Sometimes, her comments maKe her more stupid. Get lost and Wingardium Leviosa. What a daft thing to say. But, then again, this is coming from someone who can't seem to finish uni. I feel like I've aged about 10 years reading this article. Here's what I think As for what she is saying about Brown it's a complete 180 from how she described it before 2013. In 2013 she started to elude to the fact it was not as great as she made it out to be. She gushed how wonderful her experiences had been to so many magazines. Now I think she's looking for pity and to have excuses why she never stayed at Brown. She preached how she was staying put. I am so fucking tired of having to post quote after quote proving my point with this when she lies time after time. She is not honest! What the truth is doesn't matter because she always lying. It's a constant thing with her. As for the pressures on women she is really a piece of work. The guardian commenters summed it up nicely. She had no problem attaching herself to Burberry and Lancôme. She's had no problem giving them praise and talking about fashion and make-up in just about every interview. That part where she talked about photo shopping and air brushing. Just wow! Did she see the Wonderland magazine she edited? Some photos it didn't even look like her. She'll continue allowing her image to be manipulated no matter what. She thinks she’s aging? She still looks 15 without all the make-up and photo shopping. Last year she was stopped at JFK because they thought she was a unaccompanied minor. Did you know one of the product she pushed when modeling for Lancôme was an anti-age cream? That's the dumbest comment in her entire interview. But really she's said this kind of stuff the last three years and most notably in 2011 where she had a various quotes about body image and being comfortable in your skin. I wont bore you with those quotes since I have before. She gets lauded for those comments and people place her in role model status but when you closely look at it they were just words that meant nothing at the time other than to make people think, “Emma is so anti-Hollywood!! She’s a role model for women and young girls” but meanwhile she never believed in any of it in the first place. At the time she said those things she was at a more healthier weight than she ever was. In 2011 you can tell she either stopped working out or ate more. I thought she looked her best then. Now she’s back to stick thin and even surpassed it a way IMO is unhealthy. She sending a bad message to women. There’s a certain tyranny to trying to achieve that kind of beauty. I don’t know, I’m maybe not the best person to speak about this because I obviously completely adhere to it,” she laughs nervously. “ ^She really needs to start taking her own advice and quit being a judgmental hypocrite. I actually really want to be an actress, a proper actress who makes it her career. I'm always expecting to be found out and I thought, If I'm no good, now is the time to find out." She really wants people to think she all of a sudden wants to act. What I think is she is really trying to distance herself from her lack luster post Potter career by making it out like she now wants to act and that’s why she has no lead roles because her resume does not equal her hype. The last few years she’s separated herself from “always wanted to be an actress” to “I was not sure”. She’s being disingenuous as usual and people believe it. Plus she said she did modeling so directors and producers would look at her differently so that's why she used Burberry and Lancôme. And she did a course at RADA in 2008 so if she was not sure or didn't want to than why did she do these things? So she can go to international magazines and complain she can't find a man or that men are intimidated by her? She had in the past before Will Adamowicz. It was in almost every one of her interviews for a few years. So she can use Matt Janney (this new guy) on a beach in a bikini PDA session as a publicity stunt to cover up her ex boyfriend being caught rolling coke bombs and also use him to product place an iPhone in Madrid but she wants to keep it private? And she doesn't date famous guys? What about Johnny Simmons (Young Neil) and George Craig (Front man for rock group One Night Only)?  If you can Google their name and you see them in movies or music videos, they're famous.
