I wish Peter Buttigieg got the backing to run for president again.
Of course Trump wouldn't want to look at a veteran who was injured in the line of duty. He’s a fucking coward who would never serve his country like Peter Buttigueg did!!!!

When we go voting, let’s all writes someone’s name in,instead of voting for Biden.
Bc Biden clearly proved that he’s actually not for the people at all. Hes not for women,he’s not for the environment. He’s not for decriminalizing weed.
He’s for profit of big corporations.
He’s just as crooked as every other politician that claimed to care about the people, then fuck us over. And so is Kamala Harris. She may seem all “girlboss, girl power, all wise” but she funded Israel,as well. And let them drop bombs on people.she would sell anybody out, then gaslight you and say they hate her bc she’s a woman.
Vote for someone competent, young, and always defended the people. Like Peter Buttigieg,AOC, mark kelly,Or Bernie sanders(ik he’s old, but he was there from the very beginning for minorities and women). The point is,you have the power to write a candidate in. You don’t have to choose “the lesser of 2 evils”
And don’t stop there. Vote in better senators, and local government. Anything where you can vote,do your research and go out and vote!
Because Im tired of this. Aren’t you?

Levi Strauss heir will reportedly challenge London Breed in 2024
SF Mayor London Breed will reportedly face another 2024 challenger: a Levi Strauss heir
Alec Regimbal, SFGATE
Updated: July 18, 2023 10:02 a.m.
"An heir to the Levi Strauss fortune will reportedly challenge San Francisco Mayor London Breed for her seat in next year’s election, according to a report from the San Francisco Standard.
What to know about the Pier 39 sea lions
The report said Daniel Lurie has yet to formally announce his candidacy or file the paperwork necessary to begin raising money, but several sources who have knowledge of his plans told the Standard that he’s been “hosting gatherings to rally support.” The Standard also reported that Lurie has begun recruiting staff and is being helped by Tyler Law — a political consultant whose firm has assisted in state and national races, including the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and Pete Buttigieg.
A San Francisco native, Lurie is the founder of Tipping Point Community, a nonprofit aimed at combating poverty in the Bay Area. Lurie is also the son of Mimi Haas, who married the late philanthropist Peter Haas — the great-grandnephew of Levi Strauss — after her divorce from Brian Lurie, a prominent rabbi. Mimi Haas owns 11% of Levi Strauss & Co. shares, making her the single largest shareholder in a company that’s worth more than $5 billion today.
Lurie did not reply to a request for comment from SFGATE.
The news that Lurie is reportedly planning to launch a campaign comes at time when San Francisco voters are largely unhappy with Breed’s performance as mayor. A pair of recently released polls show that voters are concerned primarily about drugs, public safety, homelessness and housing affordability, and generally disapprove of the way Breed is handling those issues. The mayor’s office did not immediately reply to a request for comment from SFGATE about Lurie’s reported plans.
The only prominent challenger to Breed who has formally announced their campaign for mayor is District 11 Supervisor Ahsha Safaí, who told the San Francisco Chronicle in May, “People are very dissatisfied with the current mayor, dissatisfied with the condition of the city, and they’re looking for change.” (The Chronicle and SFGATE are both owned by Hearst but have separate newsrooms.)
Safaí, like Breed, is seen as a moderate Democrat, which sets them apart from the more progressive members of the city’s political arena. A source close to Lurie told the Standard that they believe he can offer a “similar but fresher alternative to the moderate Democratic platform of Breed.” That means, unless a prominent progressive enters the race, voters might be choosing among candidates with similar platforms.
Apart from his work with Tipping Point Community — he stepped down as CEO in 2019 — Lurie is mostly known for his ties to the Levi Strauss fortune. In 2021, he reportedly purchased an estate in Point Dume, a promontory on the coast of Malibu, for $15.5 million.
The Standard reported that Lurie lives in Potrero Hill with his wife Becca Prowda, who works for California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and their two kids."
And Governor Gavin Newsom is a World Economic Forum puppet, having been involved with that totally unregulated, foreign body who become giddy at the thought of running the entire planet. I don't get San Franciscans not understanding what's going on. I looked up Mayor London Breed, and while she's not perfect, Breed has enacted a lot of policy changes to improve the city. The fact that there are so many local 'Progressives' against her, tells me Mayor Breed is actually worth keeping. Note that it's not just Progressives but the Predatory classes, like Musk and his Silicon Valley ilk who are trying to run her out of office. We all saw similar coups go down in New York and Chicago and the jury is still out on Mayor Eric Adams, who recently tried cutting the budget of N.Y. libraries. But Mayor Breed stopped a new private prison from being built. I thought that was something these faketivists wanted.
COVID-19 response
'San Francisco issued a state of emergency because of COVID-19 in February 2020, before the federal government suggested doing so, and San Francisco became one of the first American cities to go into lockdown. On March 2, Breed advised residents, "Prepare for possible disruption from an outbreak". Under the state of emergency, private gyms were required to shut down, but the city government petitioned Cal/OSHA for a waiver to allow various government employees to continue to use gyms in city-owned facilities, which were allowed to continue to operate.
On April 24, 2020, Breed reported that her city's PPE orders had been diverted to other cities and countries. She said, "We’ve had issues of our orders being relocated by our suppliers in China. For example, we had isolation gowns on their way to San Francisco and they were diverted to France. We’ve had situations when things we’ve ordered that have gone through Customs were confiscated by FEMA to be diverted to other locations." Wiki
We never got an investigation into what was going on with the PPE gowns and other equipment during covid. I'm guessing certain parties don't want it brought up because someone has to explain why, if Trump and Kushner were only sending equipment to states that support him, while having their Chinese allies block delivery to cities such as San Francisco, how did Bernie Sanders and Vermont come out on top? There were NO interruptions in their supply.
How much is the Strauss family worth?
$4 billion
Their collective net worth is over $4 billion. And revenues are up nearly 30% from 2020. There are also plans in motion to expand and innovate the business by offering a more convenient shopping experience using AI. The company has also acquired the major active wear brand, Beyond Yoga.Apr 1, 2022

Navigating The Value Of Airline Rewards: Unpacking The Complexities”
Tumblr media
(Source – Money)
If you’re one of the many consumers utilizing points-and-rewards credit cards offered in collaboration between airlines and major banks, you might find yourself pondering a crucial question: What’s the actual dollar value of the points I’ve diligently accrued? Moreover, how much spending is necessary to unlock the most advantageous rewards?
These uncertainties were at the forefront of discussions during a joint hearing convened on Thursday by the Department of Transportation and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The aim? To delve into avenues for enhancing consumers’ interactions with — and financial gains from — these widely embraced programs, known to yield substantial profits for major airlines.
“Understanding the True Worth of Points and Rewards”
Rohit Chopra, Director of the CFPB, articulated the significance of such credit card benefits for families planning trips or vacations. He remarked, “[Credit card] benefits are really valuable. … It’s almost seen as savings – something in the bank that you will be able to spend.” However, Chopra also underscored a disconcerting reality: the potential for credit card companies and airlines to swiftly devalue accumulated points, thereby obfuscating their true worth and sparking questions about fairness.
Adding to the complexity, Chopra highlighted instances where consumers might incur fees for rewards cards without clear avenues for refunds when benefits are altered or diminished.
Another focal point of the hearing was the plight of consumers who utilize rewards cards while carrying revolving debt. According to a CFPB report released concurrently with the hearing, such consumers tend to pay significantly more in interest and fees compared to the rewards they receive.
The panel, featuring Chopra, Secretary of Transportation Peter Buttigieg, along with consumer advocates, and representatives from small airlines, a credit union, and a bank, convened to address these concerns. Notably absent were representatives from major airlines and top-tier credit card issuers, despite invitations extended by CFPB and DOT officials.
“Challenges and Considerations in Maximizing Benefits”
Prior to the hearing, Rob Nichols, President and CEO of the American Bankers Association, issued a statement emphasizing the competitive landscape of the credit card market in the US. Nichols cited a Morning Consult survey indicating widespread consumer appreciation for credit card rewards. He also referenced congressional legislation aiming to lower interchange fees, a move fiercely opposed by banks, citing potential risks to rewards program availability.
Post-hearing, financial services analyst Jaret Seiberg highlighted potential regulatory actions by the CFPB to safeguard earned miles from devaluation and prevent their expiration. However, Seiberg noted that the outcome might hinge on the political landscape, with differing expectations depending on the administration in power.

Tacitus, Jesus, and the Nero Mythos | Chrissy Hansen
COMMENTARY:
A question I never had until recently about the whole Christian movement was why Roman society hated Christians, It was a given, The fact that Nero was able to change the subject from his complicity in the arson of 64, if there was any, to the charms of employing Christians as human garden torches for the parties of the Roman smart set. I began my inquiry into Cornelius as the author of the Gospel of Mark in 1990 and I knew that it was dangerous to be a Christian at the time Cornelius assembled the narrative and how the written testament was conveyed more or less covertly by the soldiers in the Legions who ware telling the story of Jesus around campfires on the march as war stories the soldiers of the 10th Legion remembered from their tour of duty in the Galilee,  :There was this one Jew who had a huge following in the country side who could walk on water that we were worried about, but it turned out the Jerusalem Establishment took him out as a bigger threat to them than to us".  I assumed that the Gospel of Mark was a systematic assembly of these war stories into a central file in bits and pieces until the Holy Spirit brought Peter to Cornelius, a player from inside Team Jesus who could string all the bits and pieces with what was going on inside the head quarters The point of this that Cornelius thought Jesus was big medicine in spite of the hatred of the Roman elite. Tacitus grew up hating :that tribe of Christians". He was only eight years old when Rome burned and Nero launched his Christian pogrom, He was expected to hate Christians as a general principle and its always fun to be part of a lunch mob, except for the guest of honor, so to speak, Southern evangelical Christians would get themselves all worked up at a Sunday afternoon church picnic and go out and hand a couple of uppity niggers and dance around a bonfire in the shape of a cross. That's basically what's driving the Trump campaign in a political party with a candidate from Generation Z like Nikki Haley, locked and loaded to be like Pete Buttigieg or Michael Steele if seh gets the job running the Oval Office. Nero was taking advantage of exactly that same political reality. The question finally occurred to me "Why:?:   well, it comes down to conjunction of the term Christian being introduced by Tiberius in 33 CE to a Senate and society that hated and feared Tiberius because of the execution of Sejanus,  Everything associated with Tiberius was hated, including the tribe of Christians. It is clear from Tertullian's account of the effect of Pilate's lost euangelion regarding the Talking Cross had on Roman attitudes towards Christians, Tiberius had to  threaten the Christian Haters with executive action ot protect the Christians The Roman soldier in Judea were calling these Jewish Jesus Followers ;christians" because they all referred to their Divine Leader, Jesus Christ, Super Star "Messiah"< which, of courst, is Christ to us, These Christians were a factor in the Jewish politics, because they were freaking out the board of directors of Second Temple, Inc and, to a lesser extent, Harod Antipas, who stepped on his dic when he cut off the had of John the Baptist. For the Roman soldiers, "Christian" was a neutral term, like "Charley" for Vietnam vets or Rastafari  for ,the DC MPD, But when it got to Rome, it became tainted by its introduction as a Tiding of Joy, or euangelion, but Tiberius. and that's the important historic bench mark I get from Tacitus and "The Tribe of Christians", I don't do any original scholarship: it is hard for me to read anymore and I don't have any need to re-invent the wheel,  Chrissy Hansen's research into Tacitus is practically incomprehensible to me, but she's gone about it faithful to the protocols of the genre She has basically confirmed my essential thesis that Tacitus grew up hating Christians and I bet that if she is to take into account Tiberius and Sejanus in her profile of Tacitus, her scholarship with lift itself to a brilliant new level. The reason they didn't call it "The Gospel According to Cornelius" is because it would have got him crucified.

Stabenow, Michigan Senator for More Than Two Decades, Won’t Run in 2024
Tumblr media
WASHINGTON - Senate Debbie Stabenow, the senior Democratic senator from Michigan and a member of the party's leadership announced on Thursday she will not run for another term in the next election. The announcement made of Ms. Stabenow, who is 72, was an unprecedented Democrat to announce that she will have no place on the ballot in 2024 . This opened up a space in the state that is a battleground and gave her party a second seat to defend. Democrats were already preparing for contests to incumbents in states that are dominated by Republicans, such as Ohio, Montana and West Virginia. However, Democrats enjoyed a strong performance on the ballot in Michigan in November, and swiftly announced their intention to hold the seat. Mrs. Stabenow, the chairwoman of the Agriculture Committee who was first elected in 2000, has said she was hoping to continue serving the state despite not being elected to post. "Inspired by the new Generation of leadership, I've taken the decision to hand over the reins to the U.S. Senate," Ms. Stabenow, the first female senator from Michigan stated in an official statement. "Under the haze of unimaginable threats to democracy and our fundamental freedoms the record-breaking number people voted across Michigan," she said. "Young people showed up like never before. This was an extremely positive sign for the future of our country." The A New Congress Begins The 118th Congress began on January. 3 with Republicans having control of the House and Democrats controlling the Senate. Republicans have promised to run an aggressive campaign to win the seat. "We will be take on this seat with a ferocity by 2024." Mike Berg, an official of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, stated in an announcement. "This might be one of the many Democrats who choose to retire instead of losing." In Michigan in Michigan, In Michigan. Stabenow's announcement triggered an uproar among determined Democrats. Representative Elissa Slotkin contacted her allies in Michigan on Thursday, saying she was in the process of announcing her candidacy for Senate within the next week. State senator Mallory McMorrow, who raised millions of dollars following her href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/25/us/politics/mallory-mcmorrow-michigan.html" the headline ="">going in the last year to become a viral sensation in the last year to defend L.G.B.T.Q. rights, issued an announcement minutes of Ms. Stabenow's speech, in which she praised the senator, but not revealing any details regarding her plans. The state's most prominent Democratic names have denied any involvement. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Mayor Mike Duggan of Detroit will not be running for the Senate According to their aides. And Pete Buttigieg is the transportation secretary who relocated his official home from Indiana to Michigan which is where his parents reside, said that he was "fully dedicated to the presidency in my position in the capacity of secretary for transportation, and is not looking for a different job." There's little data on polls to draw conclusions from. Richard Czuba, a veteran Michigan pollster, claimed there were no surveys of possible Senate candidates of any political party. Rep. Debbie Dingell, a Democrat closely connected to the state's labor unions, stated that she needs more information before deciding to support a candidateor gauging her interest in herself. "I believe we've got to be celebrating Debbie today and work out the most powerful candidates and not create a free-for-all," Ms. Dingell stated, "and that's going to require a long time." Democrats have yet to choose the person who will head their Senate campaign. The organization was run for the past two terms by senator Gary Peters, Democrat of Michigan who has indicated that he's not interested in taking over the post after overseeing an expansion of one seat to the majority. Ms. Stabenow was elected to the local level in 1974, aged 24. She was in the state legislature as well as the U.S. House before winning her Senate seat in 2000 after beating her fellow Republican incumbent Spencer Abraham. In the Senate she is regarded for her hardworking and efficient legislator who over the coming two years will be in charge of the efforts to renew important farm laws. "No person represents the authentic Michigan spirit better than Debbie Stabenow." declared senator Chuck Schumer, the New York Democrat and majority leader. "From in the State Legislature, to and including the House of Representatives, and over the past two years within the United States Senate, Debbie has been a positive influence for Michiganders each step of the route."   Read the full article
