I don't like being petsick after I come back to my apartment after a three day stay at my parents tbh.

Sorry for the not so good news. I've been quiet bc poor baby Rosie has been having health problems. Back in May she had 3 parasites, as of a couple months ago she has a HUGE lump on her neck, now? Lump is still here, treated with antibiotics but the lump is still there, she is limping, and now half of her face is swollen. Any and all good vibes, prayers, etc. Are appreciated. I'm drowning in bills. #rosie #rosiethelabretrievermix #rosieposie #rosierivera #adoptdontshop #shelterpup #vetproblems #petsickness #poorpupper #imdoingmybest https://www.instagram.com/p/B5O-su2DmPF/?igshid=693lehkm06fw

Relationsick
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image IDs in alt text. If I messed up on the IDs please let me know!]
Relationsick Definition - An umbrella term referring to the feeling of homesickness for people/pets and relationships. Describes missing not just the person/pet in question, but also missing one's relationship with them. Can describe a complete loss of the relationship, or describe the relationship no longer being what it once was. Coined by @meteor-star
Terms that could fall under this umbrella term - including but are not limited to: friendsick, petsick, partnersick, personsick, famsick (famsick as in family), etc. Feel free to come up with your own.
Meanings of each stripe -
Red: Red spider lillies, which represent loss, sad memories, remembrance, and a final goodbye. Pink: Pink/Magenta Chrysanthemums, which represent mourning, greif, and goodbyes. Purple: Violets, representing someone being lost too soon and resurrection. Blue-purple: Hyacinths, representing sorrow, forgiveness, and jealousy. Pale Cyan: Forget-me-nots, representing remembrance, memories, and faithful love. White: White Lillies, representing loss, death, rebirth, purity, and commitment. The black roses in the borders of the third image represent mourning, new beginnings, and the end of a relationship.
Who falls under this term?
Anyone mourning the loss or destruction of a relationship, for any reason. Be it by death, an argument, runaways, ghosting, loss of interest, sickness, etc. This term is intentionally vague and open ended. If you feel that this term applies to you, you are welcome to use it, but I'd prefer if you're able to at least credit me with creating it, especially if you use my flag. This term was made by a queer person, however it is not a queer-specific term. Cishet allos are welcome to use this term.
Who is not allowed to use this term/flag?
Anyone who tries to gatekeep how it's used. As I mentioned earlier, this term is intentionally vague and open-ended. Do not try to gatekeep how it is used or who uses it. Grief over loss or breakdown of a relationship is valid no matter how small you believe the catalyst to be.
Please don't ask me if you're allowed to use this term or this flag. The answer is always yes. Even if you feel you fall under typical DNI criteria. I don't have the time nor the energy to manage my followers or who reblogs my posts, so it's not worth it for me to make a DNI.
If you have questions, concerns, or criticism, you can send me an IM, an ask, or reply in the notes of the post.
You may edit the flag, but I'd prefer if you didn't remove the forget-me-not stripe, as that one is the most integral to the point of this flag,

National Auctioneers Week: Reflecting on Our Roots
Tumblr media
Proxibid was born from the idea of connecting auction companies and buyers in disparate locations via the internet. In 2001, four guys had an idea to build a system where bids were relayed from buyer to auctioneer in real-time. At the time, this was not just crazy but almost impossible, based on the technology and infrastructure that existed.  Here’s a snapshot of what internet bidding looked like at the outset, as we celebrate National Auctioneers Week.
Bottom line: It was not a simple feat.
In the very beginning, Proxibid team members would broadcast audio from a phone onsite to a phone in the office, which was set in front of a microphone connected to a computer running Proxibid’s bidding application. If you followed that last sentence, you can imagine how the early days took McGyver-like solutions to solve for the lack of technology available. In fact, many auction venues were not wired properly for internet connection, and employees would run cables across buildings to get a stable connection. With just Windows 2000 as an operating system, the live bidding application required having at least one backup computer ready to go in the (inevitable) case that the primary computer would crash.

The world of technology has changed rapidly since our inception, but one thing remains the same. Proxibid is deeply rooted in the auction industry. From the first client to the most recent, our team is focused on serving the needs of auctioneers, asset owners, dealers. In fact, Proxibid has worked with 4,000+ unique sellers across the past 16 years, and most of those have been auctioneers and auction companies. Our live and timed auction solution are our bread and butter, and remain a focus for Proxibid now and into the future.

In a recent interview with Silicon Prairie News, Proxibid co-founder Joe Petsick said the following about our place in the industry:
“Most disruptions usually occur with someone trying to replace the main players. We did it differently. Our disruption was to really help prop up the existing players but change the way the world interacted with those people.”
And that’s exactly where we continue to grow. Proxibid is proud to work with everyone from small businesses to industry-leading auction companies to provide custom solutions that bring added value to every client. We’re excited to celebrate National Auctioneers Week alongside our clients and friends in the industry. Thanks for your loyalty and partnership for all these years. Cheers!
