i think we were robbed of the conflict that could have occurred in lover’s lane of dante finally learning what gene did in high school, especially what he did to aphmau, and it’s kind of messed up that dante either doesn’t know or doesn’t have a problem with it.

like realistically he would be so god damn angry . and i imagine aphmau would step in to defend gene, saying it was a long time ago and she has forgiven him, but dante just feels so awful that he had this naïve, idealistic perception of his big brother as this great guy when he was hurting who is now one of his now closest friends. and gene being so distraught that he has ruined this for dante, but figuring he deserves it and it was bound to happen and he obviously did do those things, so he deserves the consequences. he never told dante because, idk, how do you even broach the topic of bullying and blackmail without ruining your relationship with your brother?

and i wanted a healing arc for them where gene slowly shows dante that he has actually changed and regrets what he was like in high school, properly redeeming him in the audience’s eyes too.

i think it would just make their relationship all the stronger while giving gene and actual proper redemption arc. whether he deserves it or not is up to you i just think it could have been more interesting and heartfelt this way.

🧏‍♂️ im not sure on how im going to shape their world yet. Since im going to focus on it being set in the 2000s and how teens used to act back then also affected by my own experience as a teen too. Plus, what is an aphmau rewrite if you don’t project 🤍

BUT because i enjoy aaron and aph a tad HE ISS NAWWT a super senior in this rewrite. they are a year apart 🤫 shhhhh

Normalize projecting onto C! Aphmau, because like, she's literally a self insert, why can't she be MY self insert

(obvs not completely changing the character) but like she's already kinda relatable, so like what if I made her even more realistic??

(I hc that she draws her friends when they hang out, and they all try to get her to show them, but she gets embarrassed because she thinks her art is bad.)

She also cuts her hair herself alot, then attempts and fails to hide it from sylvanna, eventually she dyes parts of it purple

(with the help of sylvanna after she bleached it once and it turned red)

um actually aphmau is my oc, kidding I just like making hcs for her (and I also really like projecting onto pixels)
