If my dash is any indication, Phil's recent decision to start habitually reblogging phanart on Tumblr is going to cause an exponentially expanding explosion of art which may drown us poor fic writers.

There's always been an imbalance between the popularity of phanart and phanfic—which is natural, since you can appreciate the best art in 20 seconds but it takes a lot longer to appreciate a fic—but now that imbalance just seems to be snowballing. Art art everywhere. I love it, the art is beautiful, but ... it's sort of taking over. I love @vivianadichiara! I love @creamphilled! I love all you phanartists! But my fic gets even more buried than usual now.

Stay strong, fic writers! We may not be Phil's chosen ones, but ... um ... some people still love us. Some people still appreciate us! Some people will still see our posts! Phil's appreciation for phanart won't bury us!

I'm pretty sure.

Or ... well ... I guess we'll always have AO3.
