In this post, I am going to provide step by step guide of How to learn image editing. This post is going to be very helpful for you. After reading this post, you will know exactly where you should start with, which procedure to follow.

Firstly, you should know clearly what image editing actually is. In simple words, image editing is the procedure of making improvement of digital photograph. It is performed by using various types of tools and software. There is no restricted rule for image editing. Image can be edited in many ways according to the requirement. Photo Editing method and technique can be applied fully or specifically. The ultimate motive is to present imagery in the most possible attractive way.

As you are willing to learn the way of image editing, firstly you should learn some basic of photo editing. 

Crop: It is the first thing you should learn. Frame is important fact for image. Sometimes, there will be distracting elements in the picture. Cropping is the first technique that you can apply for cropping an image in a specific dimension. Photos can be scaled in specific measurement and can be resized your photo according to required size. 

Straighten: Sometimes we failed to capture image in the proper way. It needs to make correction a little bit like a little bit of flipping or rotating. Straighten is the way that allows to perform that operation. 

Exposure: This is the fact that is mandatory to know. Brightness, Shadow, Contrast and highlights are four most important facts for image though overall exposure of the photo depends on brightness. Highlight is another important fact to keep in mind. It makes the brighten part brighter and the dark portion darker. 

Saturation: It decides how exquisite your image is. This feature is used for making the picture bright or foggy. It can change the look of the photo when it comes to weather. 

Sharpen: This is the clearly determiner of the image. Sharpness is a crucial factor for image. Before you apply this in your picture zoom in the picture closely. So that you can inspect exactly what is happening there. It is a tricky feature to use. Don’t make the picture too sharp or too rough. You should apply this at the last stage of editing. 

Selection Tool: Sometimes, we don’t want to apply change in the whole image. When you are willing to modify specific area of the image then this option you have to use. By using selection tool you can select the area specifically and apply changes only on theses part. 

Layer: Layer is like the sheet of the stacked acetate. It allows to you bring effects in the picture backward and forward. By moving layer up and down you can modify the image editing technique visibility. 

Eraser: This tool is simply used for deleting any elements or any unwanted object.  

That was some basic image editing. Applying these basic features you can edit photos in the professional way. Image editing techniques like Background Remove, Image Retouching and Color Correction etc. are based on these basic.
