En wie kry ons? Phymateaus morbillosus

Phyma is Grieks vir swelling, ook uitgroeisels selfs op die gesig en ore, en morbus is afkomstig van die Latyns vir siekte / illness.

Hierdie is een van ons giftige sprinkane, nie omdat dit byt of steek nie, maar omdat dit gifstowwe stoor in die liggaam van die giftige plante wat dit vreet, soos die melkbos Asclepias fruticosus .

Die gif word uitgeskei in die vorm van ‘n wit skuim. Laasgenoemde laat die insekte nie net sleg smaak nie, dit kan ook giftig wees vir enige predatore wat dit inneem / verteer.

Hulle is redelik groot insekte en breik lengtes van tot 72mm. Daar is rede om te glo dat hul in ‘n verskeidenheid van kleure en subspesies voorkom. Die kleure is gewoonlik aposomaties, oftewel gevaar kleure wat hul vertoon.

Dit help dat predatore onthou dat hierdie sprinkane sleg of gevaarlik is, en hul heeltemal uitlos. Hierdie die sprinkane het perfekte gevormde vlerke, maar is nie instaat om te vlieg nie, want hulle het ook nie nodig om te vlieg nie.

What are the signs and symptoms of Acne rosacea

It includes the redness on the face, which involves the cheeks, nose and fore head. It can also involve the neck, chest, ear and scalp.

There may occur semi permanent redness, dilation of superficial blood vessels on the face which are referred as telangiectasia.

There are small bumps which are referred as red papules along with the pustules.

There are red gritty eyes along with the burning and stinging sensations.

In few cases there is a red lobulated nose which is referred as rhino phyma.

What are the different types of Acne rosacea

There are mainly four different types of rosacea and the individual may have more than one sub type. In the case of erythemato telangiectatic rosacea there is a permanent redness present on the face which is referred as erythema and the individual has a tendency to flush and blush. In this all the blood vessels are visible near the surface of skin which is referred as telangiectasis along with the burning and itching sensations.

There is a condition which is known as the papulo pustular rosacea in which the redness is permanent. There are small bumps which are referred as red papules along with the pustules. It is confused with the acne.

There is another sub type which is known as the phymatous rosacea in which there is a red lobulated nose which is referred as rhino phyma. It includes the thickening of skin, irregular surface nodules and enlargement. This condition can affect the chin, fore head, cheeks, eye lids and ear. These conditions are referred as gnatophyma, metophyma, blepharophyma and otophyma respectively. In this case also the blood vessels are visible near the surface of skin which is referred as telangiectasis.

There is another type of this condition which is known as the ocular rosacea in which there are red, dry and irritated eyes. The other symptoms include the foreign body sensations, itching and burning.
