haha yeah you could say i've drawn elgar'nan before. ..in fact he's definitely the character i've drawn the most, ever 😭 the moment i saw him and ghilly come out of the fade during the first veilguard gameplay reveal i started drawing them and never stopped. fixating on those two got me back into doing more art and my skills have really improved quite a lot since then!

i basically like to stick to the ingame version as close as possible but i really prefer his robe dark grey :)

Yet another artifact i fucking died upon seeing the first time. Like???? I had no idea this happened?????? This is probably the vettonso trivia I bring up the most because it both makes me feel very warm but also shocked. Like wdym Fernando went out of his way to be the first to congratulate Seb on his win and gave him a full on hug in a sport where bro hugs tend to be the norm???? Two men who don't know what's coming.

Kills me that Fernando congratulated him on his first win, and then did this on his very last race 😭😭😭 this will probably forever be the vettonso moment of all time, because it was just so genuine and real and emotional. The natural progression of their relationship up until that point.

Here is some old (like 3 years old) naruto manga colorings from when I wasn’t as good at art👍 Hinata was my first one tho so I think I did rlly at the time- might do one promoting my sakukarin ship propaganda since I haven’t completed a manga coloring in like a year…

Coloring tsunades jacket without having to redraw it made me almost cry:( I also had a hard time finding good quality kushina manga pics so I had to choose one I didn’t rlly like. You can tell I rushed it since I didn’t like it- might post past coloring wips that won’t ever get done.

Both Zoro pictures are from the same year. Don't know about you but sometimes my skills jump like crazy!! There are 10-15yo pics that look better than all what I can do today. Thats weird!

I grew up loving to draw. I did not do it to show it to someone in the first place. Since I had no speacial goal I got better very slowly, but that's fine. I never pushed my skills actively forward- so there's nothing to complain about.

The digital journey began with ms paint (left) I scanned the lines and used a mouse.

Paint net (right) still no graphic tablet but the program had line- and curve thingys I could draw with and of course.... Layer XD

I don't know exactly- but between this pictures might be 2 or 3 years. This is from my non shipping time. These days this is totally shipping content and you are not allowed to think otherwise XD Platonic love (bromance) seems not to be a thing online anymore. And I miss it.

And one other thing: If you desperately try to find your style: How you draw right now IS your style. And you (can) have different styles. It changes all the time! It's not an end point of your drawing journey- because there is none. Keep evolving. Find ways to draw you like. Even then, move on^^

💜Leokumi Week 2025🧡

As expected, I couldn’t draw anything for Leokumi week this year :’) These past days I’ve been super busy and I couldn’t even start any drawing (BUT!! i will try to do some leokumi drawings based on the prompts asap, i swear!)

Anyway, I decided to do something different this year so I could participate! This ship means everything to me, and to demonstrate it I decided to compile all the Leokumi art I’ve drawn over the years (since 2017!!). Click on read more to see the full post as this is gonna have a lot of pics lol

2017/2018

First Leokumi drawings :3 I couldn’t find more art from this time, but this is the dearest era to me <3 I was 13-14 when i drew these!! And this ship was my ultimate OTP ever, so I loved drawing them. My dynamic for them in 2017 (in case it wasn’t obvious) was a very tsundere Takumi with a very teasing and flirty Leo LOL though i can’t see them Like That anymore, tsundere Takumi is always good 🫡🫡 The 2nd drawing here is part of a bigger drawing with all the Fates royals btw ❤️‍🩹

2019

Not a lot of Leokumi in 2019, sadly :’) But at least it’s something !! About the Leokumi wedding drawing: these designs came to me in a dream and I decided to draw them … Of course in the dream they looked better (more like feh groom!marth), but my art skills weren’t good enough lol

Tbh now I wouldn’t draw their wedding looks like this, I’d prefer to draw Takumi in something closer to japanese wedding attire 🙂‍↕️

2020

Finally closer to my favorite characterization: slightly tsundere takumi that, despite acting tough, can’t keep his cool around leo, who’s seemingly calm in every situation. This second drawing is a redraw of the fates royals drawing i mentioned before! that’s why you can see Corrin’s hair in the corner LOL The first drawing is also a redraw of the 2018 drawing of them reading together!

2021 - 2023

And lastly, my most recent drawings! 2021 was when my Ace Attorney brainrot started and Leokumi wasn’t in my mind all the time LOL that’s why i decided to dump the drawings from this time together! The day of devotion drawings have to be my favorite leokumi drawings I’ve ever done <3 they mean everything to me ,,, Also this is the first time i post the stupid soup store comic anywhere LMFAO but i might make an individual post for it later. Idek what possessed me to draw it? I just did? I guess it was because that video is super iconic TO ME😤

Anyway that’s all because last year i didn’t have time to draw them at all :( I just wanna say thank you to the @leokumiweek2022 mods for organizing this event !! Even if the ship isn’t as popular as it used to be, it’s nice to see people trying to keep it alive ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Leokumi will always be my favorite fire emblem ship no matter what, and finding leokumi artists nowadays is like finding something you lost a long time ago <3

1. my wife doesn’t have a tumblr, but her suggestion interested me and can be seen in the first two screenshots(the translation sounds like: “after the release of “red hour” I have an assumption that andrey is more... athletic than misha. either this is because of ferry’s drawing style, or he really has such wide shoulders")so now we are interested to know about the physique of your characters!! maybe some of them are thin, or vice versa, a little overweight. and what about physical training? did you have any headcanons for this??? ( by the way, when I ask about “characters” I mean not only misha and andrey, but also europe and maya, because they are also worthy of attention <зз) 

2. what about the abbreviation "dyusha" for andrey? in russian it is... not used very often, but still, it sounds very cute. so it would be interesting to know how you would feel about this? 3. I also want to hear about the names of the characters!! how did you choose them? I mean........ how did it happen that from ☺europa☺ you switched to 👹MiKhAiL👹?? (I'M SO SORRY, BUT MISHA'S FULL NAME SOUNDS SOMETHING THREATENING. MY UNCLE'S DOG HAS THE SAME NAME EHE- *ᕕ(ಥ▽ಥ)ᕗ*) 

4. and lastly, let's return to my wife for another moment. she suggested that andrey was now also in a time loop. what do you say about that? and also in enigma, she noticed that misha seemed to be addressing the second person in the lines: "and if you wanted to be anything more than just free" and "you’ve seen a hundred lies I see that all the time". is this second person a viewer? or maybe one of the previously mentioned characters??

initially it was planned to attach two sketches, but andrey turned out TOO bad, I’m ashamed to show him. someday I'll redraw it into something normal.... maybe. but! okay im gonna try and answer everything here in a coherent way so sorry if nothing makes sense

im just fine with lotes of questions :) answering asks and responding to comments is one of my favorite things ever and i brings a verry big smile to my face

on andrei: i consider him to be a skinny little gut but not exactly unathletic, and in addition i think he would have basic combat training and probably be good with firearms. misha is probably a very average bodytype, nothing special, not particularly athletic.

i do not speak russian (though ferry has recently encouraged me to learn so maybe in like four years ill be able to form a sentence) so i dont know anything about the short forms so you can do whatever you want. if you coin it and peoples tart calling him that i will not stop it from happening

i do not name my characters, i usually let me friends name them (i think that the only one i named was europa and his partner). going forward maybe ill try to make it more cohesive

the time loop idea im seeing thrown around alot is really cool and while i havent particularly wrote any of my songs about that in general i see it fitting into the loose narrative i have going on. also in enigma misha is definitely talking to andrei whenever he says the word "you" but it could also be to the listener because the entire theme of enigma is 4th wall breaking and meta shenanigans like that

A much more in depth look at the design process for the John Juniper logo from IEYTD 2 (compared to this post here) done by Zachary D. Coe.

"Part of the world building for this game included giving the the main character, John Juniper, his own logo.

This went through a LOT of iterations, from my first initial concepts to get the look and feel we all felt best fit the character, to what we wanted to indicate about him. In my experience, logos always take a lot of iteration because they represent so much about the game, character or company they’re made for. So if you’re ever working on a logo just go into it expecting it to take more time than usual.

I played around with a lot of various ideas using J’s, masks, crowns and elaborate filigree to represent the extravagance of the character, his fascination with masks, how he sees himself, etc.

With logos, I start in black and white. I like to start with the simplest form as it helps me create concepts. And Logos are used in a variety of ways in marketing, prop design, etc, and often get applied as a single color, so I want to make sure the logo reads clearly even when used in its simplest form.

After the team narrowed it one down to 3 designs, we felt strongest about (H2, I2 and P2 in the pics above), We ended up with the final design variation being the outer frame of H2 and made the centerpiece one large mask instead, and I went on to redraw and vector it.

It was so satisfying that we now had a logo that we all felt strongly represented JJ.

You can see this logo used all over the game, in a variety of applications - printed material, embroidered into furniture, and even sculpted into parts of John’s house.

When you play the game, try seeing how many places you can find it! It was a long process, but well worth it."

Not gonna lie, this was actually p hard to answer. I’m honestly proud of any piece I get done, especially any full body, full color, full background pieces, and I refuse to let myself out-right hate anything that I draw in general now-a-days, unfinished or no. I draw for fun, always have, so I try not to put too much worry on how good something looks so long as it gets my idea across in a way that I like, or that I tried?? (And ik being proud of a piece doesnt have to tie into what the end result looks like, im just covering that base) I looked through all of my recent digital art on my ipad(that i’ve had what, 3-4 years at this point?) and found myself about just as happy with each finished piece-

-Except one. There is one piece that I forget about constantly but I’m honestly super proud of the amount of effort it had put in to reach the end result. It probably sees a number of glances infrequently(due to my sporatic activity on said blog) but isnt posted to this blog’s art tag.

It’s the blog banner I drew for my @thelostguardianau fic, of the(at the time) whole cast in the au. You can find the post to reblog it from here but i’m also adding it below for reference. (* and honestly I’ll mention every other art piece in this au posted to it’s blog stands at having this same proudness, as each individual characters complicated design fed into this big banner, each one having a giant set of uniquely drawn wings, complex body markings, and unique clothing and features. And I would not have been able to complete this banner without having those singular character chart pieces finished first, except for Thomas’s design, who has yet to be posted for ✨reasons✨)

This fricking Banner was and still is(for now, *wink*) the most ambitious piece I’ve managed to finish. It took me so long, my wrist hated me, my ipad hated me, my ipencil hated me, medibang hated me, this piece pushed the limits of the poor app. Every time I try and open this piece up on the app it takes a solid couple seconds to open, save, and close.

From sketching to lining every single character, to having to uniquely match up Their Wing Sizes and Heights, because Guardians are fucking Tall, so Wing size and Height size was hell to calculate and portray. Why, you might ask?

Because I was limited to the proportions that would actually fit into a tumblr mobile banner. Which, funfact, is much smaller than you’d think!

I had to make sure they’d all fit, wings and all. And they didnt fcking want to. But I made it fit, because I wanted a full body + wings cast banner and goddamn it that was going to happen. And I did. And I lost a fuck-off amount of detail-space for it.

Coloring it wasn’t exactly difficult, but I will once again point back to this app hating this piece and it draining my battery because of it. I work in layers. My lineart will have 5-6 different layers in color before I combine them and set the hue to black, but I still keep my lineart seperate in that each character has their own lineart, and the background lineart is seperate.

I had their lineart, and probably still do, seperated into Seven different layers, one per character, each one w/ an extra masking layer for their wing glow. Each character got their own folder for colors, and had multiple layers for each colored section: clothing, skin, skin blush + eye whites, hair, wings, body markings, marking glow. And then there was the background layers, and the glowing affects, ect. The whole piece stands at having about 80 total layers having been used over the course of making it.

So yeah, Medibang does not like this piece when I try to open it. xD

But really, setting aside fighting and babying technology thats being pushed close to its limit, the real pride comes from the fact that this piece has Seven fully colored, near-full body characters drawn, all touching and interacting and accurate to the scale that I made. It is the most amount of characters in one piece that I’ve ever drawn, colored, and finished, and I’m pretty fricken proud of it.

Which makes it all the more daunting that said banner is going to get an upgrade, because it’s a Character Cast Banner after all, and its going to have four more fully designed and full winged characters added into it.

And by upgrade, I mean I get to redraw the whole dang thing. Because I gotta rearrange ✨everyone’s✨ positions. And at this point, the only way thats possible is by starting over.

Grab-Bag Doodle Dump

Just some stuff~

Notes under the cut as per usual.

1) The Heart Melter Boys (Dear Daniel + Cinnamoroll): I just saw an image that melted my heart, so I wanted to draw some of the Sanrio Boys. Maybe I’ll get around to drawing all of em from that pic.

2) Ice Cream, Original Sketch. I didn’t originally imagine that pic with them as chibis, but that’s how it turned out. I really wanted Tatiana at the end of the row so the joke would have landed better, but when I redid this with the chibis, it looked really weird if Zuke was behind anyone else, so I had to rearrange them in a way where Zuke would be on the right end, so Tatiana ended up sandwiched inbetween Kliff and Mayday. If you’re wondering why I didn’t just add her to the opposite end, it’s because by the time I’d realized the Zuke thing, I had already completely drawn/colored everyone. Since this was just a stress-relief doodle, I didn’t want to waste time redrawing Kliff’s eyes to look the other way. It’s still cute, but not having to move across the line for the joke does kill the impact just a smidge.

3) Childhood Friends relationship chart. Dunno. Just felt compelled to make this one day. It’s not comprehensive. And I don’t know why i made them into mochi. Since I couldn’t make NJ mochi, I gave him lil’legs.

Anyway some stuff I wanted to explain: I like Ne/onNo/va aesthetically, but I personally have a hard time writing for it because frankly, I think DJSS would have a hard time having healthy relationships with anyone. I think it could work out if he works on himself a bit more, but that’s not a story I’m interested in writing. Everything else I think speaks for itself, but do feel free to ask about it if you feel so inclined.

4) “Disco Balloon” - I really wanna finish this, so I’m not going to say much else about it. I just really need to get off my ass and learn how to draw hands so this can be what I want it to be.

5-6) Just something I was thinking about a few days ago. I don’t think it’s ever been said on record that Kliff’s design is inspired by Dio, but I’m pretty sure that’s true. There are a bunch of other Jojo references in the game, so I don’t think another one is that far-fetched. Not that I know anything about Jojo anyway.

7) Beginning of a redraw of that “soft” R.O.B. & Watch doodle I did forever ago. It’s somehow less cute than the original (GW isn’t small enough), but I’ll probs redo it again.

8) Human!Flats. From left to right: Juggler, Mr. Game & Watch, Tabuu.

9) A Tabuu doodle. I’ve been experimenting with giving Tabuu locs, but in doing so he kinda loses that butterfly motif I had. But I don’t think it read that clear in the first place, so it’s not a huge loss if I ditch it. Hm... he might look good with a fade now that I think about it more...

10) A humanized!Smash gender chart that I never finished. I ummed and ahhed a lot about posting this. I’m not very explicit about my gender/sexuality headcanons, because I feel a little weird being a (probably) cis/hetero woman talking about those kinds of things in depth, but I think it’d be more honest if I’m a little more up front about it. I knew would have thought about the mask thing with revolver but now that you've mentioned it, I totally agree with you. It is a step back from the arc they were taking him on. I think the main thing I didn't like about Aoi, besides her lack of screentime, was possibly her indecisiveness. She kept going back and forth between I want to do what's right (when earth died) but I can't because of SOL and my brother. Though I will say that I liked her a lot more as Blue Maiden. (1)

aaaa I’m strangely flattered that I managed to make a unique (?) point about Revolver and his mask

I just feel like they could have done better with her character in general. I feel like they were trying way to hard to make her the female version of Yusaku, when the two aren't that much alike (in my opinion). It would have been nice to have a moment where maybe Spectre saw Earth. We saw that Earth's death affected him so some expansion on that would have been nice. On an unrelated note but does anyone know why season 3 was so short? I'm disappointed so much was left unsaid (2)

those are fair points to make about Aoi, her arc definitely feels muddled because of that indecision. But I don’t think I agree with you on the “female version of Yusaku” part because, if anything, the narrative mirror/parallel between Datastormshipping and Zinniashipping, if anything should point to Aoi having more in common with Ryoken but on the other hand, my inner Angelmaker is like incoherently screaming with disagreement I can’t verbalise because I think they’re very similar but I just can’t articulate it beyond The Vibe

also Spectre did see Earth; he and Ryoken had Earth vs Go livestreamed lol and Spectre was fucking salty that Earth lost (again, he is all about one second big moments for some reason; just like him mourning for Earth was short, his vehement anger about this duel was also very short)

but yes, expansion would have been nice and if things had played out differently, it is entirely possible that Ai vs Spectre was supposed to be on-screen or in more detail, after all, how did Spectre even get to Faust so quickly when he was paired up with Ghost Girl and Blood Shepherd. Yeah, weird things are happening, both in text and behind the scenes...

and oh gosh. season three and production issues. I don’t have anything concrete to say about why it was cut short but I can state the following as facts:

there were always behind the scenes issues, hence why there were the clipshow episodes and this is more shaky (as in I can’t find a source for this off the top of my head) but also creative differences between episode directors, most evident in how the Link VRAINS backgrounds were portrayed

Spectre’s VA was unavailable, he had other things going on his professional life. His VA, Kajimoto Daiki, isn’t a professional voice actor, in fact, this was his first gig as an anime voice actor. He’s actually a thespian/actor in a theatre company and moonlights (?) as a Youtuber, where he does ASMR and plays acoustic guitar, as far as I know (this is all from his twitter which I recommend following, he posts THE CUTEST cat pics) 

(also, it can be inferred that he loved playing Spectre, he’s uploaded pics to his twitter of doing Spectre’s hand thing whilst in costume for his irl production, he tried redrawing that one expression from vs Lightning, etc)

Episode 120 was confirmed as the final episode literally the week before, there were no other announcements before it and to be honest, I don’t even think it being cut short was ever addressed

However in the aftermath, of that, Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens was immediately confirmed after it but we didn’t get information on it until December. It was also immediately confirmed that Vrains was going to be the last Yu-Gi-Oh production from Studio Gallop as Sevens is being handled by Studio Bridge

So the following is speculation but there might be a link between Vrains’ ending (cancellation?) and Sevens’ rebirth but it’s just that. Speculation. and I cannot emphasise that enough.

1) Sunset Boulevard redraw - this was my first time experimenting with the painting style I use now!!!  I still really love how the hair came out and the sequins.. I’d love to do another Sunset painting sometime.  Also Norma Desmond is one of my favorite characters in any media ever.

2) Lineless Savet, Envah, and Aril - kiiinda cheating by linking the post w all three of them instead of the individual posts but w/e.  LOVE this style, I really want to do more w it soon!  These three are always a delight to draw, and I don’t think I put them all together often enough.

3) Drolva’s birthday portrait - this is my second favorite piece out of anything I have made...... it took a LOT of time to get it, I was trying a lot of techniques for the first time but I think it was worth it!  Again I love their hair, the shading, and the background, it’s a very dramatic piece.....

4) Savet’s birthday portrait - this is currently my top favorite out of everything I’ve done!  This is one of like,, two or three pics I have of 4e200s Savet, I love how he’s developed since I first made him and seeing where he goes.  He’s also one of my Top Fav OCs

5) Rilles and Carm Good Times - I just think this one is really cute and I don’t draw Rilles smiling often enough.  Still adore Carmie’s expression too she looks SO soft...

I recently reblogged that one post where someone redrew their old oc. I thought about the same, but I don’t really have many (I mostly drew animals, pokemon and other creatures as a kid). But I did venture to the depths of my 13-year-old deviantArt gallery to see what I could find. So now it’s time for a cringe compilation on some teen’s artwork! Or so I thought, but the depressing fact is that I found a lot of stuff in my old work that I could learn a thing or two from...

Overall this post is just a place for me to get a chance to talk about older drawings nobody looks at any more so good luck to those who intend to proceed to readmore.

(2006)

There were some unkind discoveries in my tour to the past when I noticed how I had stagnated on some areas (and sometimes it even feels like regression), but it is comforting to see that there has been some development too. But seriously that is some ow the edge design right there. If you ever think about edgy deviantArt ocs you should know that I was there too.

(2007)

I did some couple dozen chibis on characters I knew (though not necessarily too well apparently, I’ve never played Disgaea). I find the poses and expressions on some of these fascinating, like nowadays I feel it’s much more common for me to draw just a generic standing pose. With this and many of the other older drawings there are some fun and expressive ideas that were beyond my ability to execute properly, but apparently I didn’t let it stop me. Now it’s more like that if something seems too difficult for me to draw I won’t even try, but back then I drew it anyway. I probably should put some effort into trying to get back to that mindset.

(2009)

I have no idea how I’ve been able to create this one because the light effect. And this is drawn with Copic markers! In traditional media! So I had to get it right on the first try! And since Copics are expensive I had very limited resources!

The girls are unnamed ocs, the one on the right is the everygirl and the other one is her friend from some alternate fantasy world that changed according to the everygirl’s wishes (so it was like her imaginary world).

(2011) 

This is Beta, the only oc of any substance I’ve ever had (aside from the FuwaFuwa gang I guess). She had such a grand story that it never got anywhere, but I sometimes posted drawings of her that didn’t mean anything to anyone else since her story was only in my head. I really like that winter outfit, the web is a fun design idea even if it looks like it’d get stuck on every bush branch on your way. The pic of her trying to put on a hood pisses me off because I have a feeling that if I tried to draw that today it would look worse. Maybe I should take my own advice from three paragraphs ago and try a redraw anyway

I also found a winter themed drawing of her which looks like an early FuwaFuwa precure.

(2012) 

I’ve always liked style parodies and apparently I did 44 of Beta. I remember that white hair was kind of an unfortunate choice since it made colouring highlights impossible. The Precure ones looked decent enough that I think I’ll give them their own post.

(2013) 

At some point I drew a lot of stuff for a Disney Princess Pokemon au, and while it has now been overthrown by Attack on Titan and magical girls I’d love to get back to it one day. Art-wise some of the best and most ambitious stuff I’ve ever done is from this au, and the first drawing on this list (that’s Merida) is one of my favourites. Granted it was done with a how-to-draw-rain tutorial so the colour palette is copied, so it’s always felt like I can’t really take proper credit of the result, but the concept and execution are still mine.

I’ve always liked ‘cluttered room’ type drawings, and I even submitted an idea for a Precure themed one for a zine. It didn’t get chosen, but I still want to draw it one day. Like, right now this instant, as if I didn’t already have enough on my to-do list.

The last one was abandoned because I didn’t know how to get the colours right for a warm sunset vibe. Shame really because there’s a lot of fun stuff going on there.

Second invisobang done! This year has been pretty hectic. I ended up switching fics more than halfway through the event, so it was kind of a struggle to get anything done near the end lol. I still had fun though, and I really enjoyed getting to talk to a lot of other folks in the phandom!
