i acc think it was so blatantly ignorant of that anon who sent my moots and i hate to say that they're sick of us bc we always talk about tori and michael kissing and having sex etc bc this just isn't true. i wrote a whole post on the similarities between solitaire and the catcher in the rye. my moots and i have all posted analyses on solitaire and it's characters multiple times. @girlythreat and @pickledsprite post amazing art about the osemanverse. i post memes abt solitaire all the time and all of my mutuals and i like to share our hcs. to say that we only think abt tori and michael in that specific way is so fucking stupid bc it's just not true. if that anon actually bothered to scroll through our blogs or the solitaire tag and take a minute to read our longer posts (if they're even capable of that considering how illiterate they were) abt our thoughts and opinions on solitaire and it's characters then i'm sure they wouldn't have been such a twat

i think they're friends! but maybe not as close friends as they were then they were young. i don't think that's a bad thing, they've simply grown apart as people, and even though the slow decline of that friendship definitely hurt for the both of them it's just what happens sometimes. on the other hand, i feel like the two things that drove them apart in solitaire were 1. becky's lack of understanding of tori's depression, and 2. tori's envy (and a little bit of internalised misogyny) towards becky for not feeling as directionless and hopeless as she does, which are both things they can work on/grow past. so i do like to think they're friends again after party girls when they're a bit older and wiser <3 i've also reunited with primary/secondary school friends in uni and found that the friendship worked just as well or even better than when we were younger, even if we spent some time apart inbetween :)

honestly the part about it that gets me every time is the fact that he did it alone. thats just a dance. but he was on the tables and presumably trying to get people to join in? i'm imagining a weirdly well-choreographed routine, surely he sees figure skaters from time to time at the ice rink so perhaps it was inspired by that?? i know it was actually good but he was surrounded by teenage boys and also one a table by himself so no one appreciated his genuine artistic genius. but i Would have. <3
