PRODUCT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE MARKET ANALYSIS (2019-2027)
Product information management can be defined as a process of managing the information required to promote and sell products in the market through distribution channels. To manage process manufacturing, retail and other industries use product information management software which helps them to collect, manage and improve the company’s product information. Furthermore, product information management software also creates product catalog, and distribute it to the company’s sales and e-commerce channels via websites, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and electronic data feed. Moreover, this software is majorly used to streamline the distribution process for suppliers, and improve quality and consistency of product data, and to deliver a better product experience to the customer.
Retailers Are Adopting Product Information Management Software to Shorten New Product Information Cycle
Product information management is majorly used to market the product so that it can reach maximum number of customers. Retailers are majorly seen implementing this software to shorten the time required to promote new products launched in the market through various sales channels such as distributers, e-commerce portals, social media and others by providing accurate product information along with images and other digital media to customers. All this helps in reducing the time required to market the product, owing to which demand for product information management software is expected to grow during the forecasted period (2019-2027). For instance, in October 2019, Verishop, an e-commerce company, announced that they had started implementing product information management software (PIM) solutions to help start-ups scale up the speed of launching their product in the market.
Furthermore, growing expectations among consumers regarding data quality is one of the major factors positively affecting growth of the global product information management software market. As consumers today are more engaged in researching the product before buying, it is mandatory for sellers to provide high-quality, complete product information to customer in various formats and through various sales channels. This helps customers gain complete product information, and in case it in unavailable, they can switch to another site or catalog which may affect the sellers' revenue.
Factors Restraining Growth of the Global Product Information Management Software Market

We’ve done the heavy lifting for you analyzing all the aspects of marketing all the top software companies do to grow.
Sounds simple but sophisticated.

Summing Up
Wrocław is a city which is becoming increasingly entrepreneurial. It started to evolve over time towards business based on specialized knowledge. The next step to be taken, based on PWC’s report, is an innovation-based economy.
Wrocław’s innovative potential is primarily the high-quality human capital as well as world class business representatives.
Wrocław’s specialization is primarily IT services, so there’s no surprise that companies like Monterail, Droids on Roids, Tooploox, and Divante have risen to Deloitte and Clutch tops.
Spoiler Alert!
Before going ahead with reading the rest of our Wroclaw software houses series, let me unfold some of my findings:
Don’t underestimate the power of open source. Take Divante for example, with its Open Loyalty and Vue Storefront it managed to impress Facebook and Whatsapp.
Long form content matters: case studies (Droids on Roids), research papers (Tooploox), reports (The State of Vue.js by Monterail), ebooks (Divante). Blog posts are merely for the awareness stage of the buyer’s journey, but you need to move the potential buyer down the funnel. And long-form content can do just that and establish you as a trustworthy and knowledgeable partner.
Choose your weapon, pick a niche. Tooploox goes with AI, Divante with e-commerce, Monterail established itself as the Vue.js guru.
Build your employer branding through social media channels and community involvement (Divante, Monterail, Tooploox, Droids on Roids)
Not enough talent pool? build it the goddamn pool: offer fellowships (like Tooploox), host workshops, hackathons (Divante), meetups or even hold your own conference (like Monterail’s Vue Conference)
Haven’t found a tech-skilled content writer, have your developers team involved in content writing! Monterail, the Droids on Roids, Tooploox and Divante are doing it.
Tools and marketing automation. Be it Hubspot (Monterail), Pipedrive (Tooploox), Hotjar(Tooploox) automation and marketing tools can save you time and money
Have a content marketing strategy: from content creation to promotion, be consistent and test a lot. Just check Monterail’s campaign on Vue.js, they’ve totally nailed it.
Now, let’s remember Wroclaw is not the only Polish city with potential for IT innovation. Poznan, Krakow, Warsaw are on the list too.
Because we don’t wanna fall in the “can't see the forest for the trees” trap, we made a macro analysis too, comparing the Polish, Ukrainian, and Romanian IT outsourcing markets in our Ultimate Guide To IT Outsourcing Companies in Central Eastern Europe.
There are a lot of stories worth reading in our IT outsourcing saga, so stay tuned.

Product Information Management Market by Component (Solutions and Services), Deployment Type, Organization Size, Industry Vertical (Consumer Goods and Retail, Manufacturing, and Transportation and Logistics), and Region - Global Forecast to 2024 published on
https://www.sandlerresearch.org/product-information-management-market-by-component-solutions-and-services-deployment-type-organization-size-industry-vertical-consumer-goods-and-retail-manufacturing-and-transportation-and-log.html
Product Information Management Market by Component (Solutions and Services), Deployment Type, Organization Size, Industry Vertical (Consumer Goods and Retail, Manufacturing, and Transportation and Logistics), and Region - Global Forecast to 2024
Need for a centralized database to eliminate data inconsistencies, achieve better syndication, and reduce Time-To-Market (TTM) to drive the adoption of Product Information Management (PIM) solutions and services
MarketsandMarkets expects the global PIM market size to grow from USD 7.0 billion in 2019 to USD 11.4 billion by 2024, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10.2% during the forecast period. The PIM market is growing rapidly, owing to factors such as thegrowing need to gain real-time visibility into data to reduce TTM and increasing need for eliminating data inconsistencies across multiple data silos. However, varied data and government regulations across industries and regions, and complex data governance and system integration are expected to pose challenges in the implementation of PIM solutions.
Cloud deployment type to grow at a higher CAGR during the forecast period
With the rising technology infusion and increasing data, most of the organizations want access to ostensibly infinite resources, and hence, they are increasingly moving toward adopting cloud-based technologies. The cloud deployment model is mostly adopted by organizations that either want less customized solutions or want rapid implementation, and reduced setup and operational costs. Owing to this, many leading PIM solution providers such as SAP, Akeneo, Plytix, Pimcore, and Oracle are focusing on improving their cloud portfolio, which is another factor that aids to increase the adoption of cloud deployment model for PIM solutions.
Consumer goods and retail industry vertical to hold the highest market share during the forecast period
Changing consumer demands and rising competition compel the consumer goods and retail industry vertical to continuously improve its products and services, resulting in different product lines, vast product portfolio, and continuous product changes. With this, organizations across the consumer goods and retail industry are increasingly deploying PIM solutions to optimize the collection, enrichment, and syndication of their product information. The need to adhere to various regulations prevailing in the industry, and improve customer and supplier experiences are various other factors for the high adoption of PIM solutions among consumer goods and retail companies.
Asia Pacific to grow at the highest CAGR during the forecast period
The high growth of the market in Asia Pacific (APAC) can be attributed to the increasing internet penetration and consumer spending, rising number of business processes, springing startups having limited IT budgets, and increasing adoption of cloud technologies. Various global PIM solution providers, including Oracle, IBM, SAP, Pimcore, and Informatica, have their businesses in the region due to the region’s low-cost benefits and high availability of workforce
In-depth interviews were conducted with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs),Vice Presidents (VPs), communication directors, technology and innovation directors, and related key executives from various key companies and organizations operating in the PIM market.
By Company – Tier 1–38%, Tier 2–42%, and Tier 3–20%
By Designation – C-Level Executives–40%, Directors–35%,and Others–25%
By Region – North America–35%, Europe–40%,APAC–15%,and RoW – 10%
The PIM market comprises major solution providers, such as IBM (US), SAP (Germany), Oracle (US), Informatica (US), Stibo Systems (Denmark), EnterWorks (US), Akeneo (France), Riversand (US), Contentserv (Switzerland), inRiver (Sweden), Magnitude Software (US), Salsify (US), Plytix (Denmark), Pimcore (Austria), Mobius (India), Catsy (US), Perfion (Denmark), Profisee (US), censhare (Germany), and Vinculum (India). The study includes an in-depth competitive analysis of thekey players in the PIM market, along with their company profiles, recent developments, and key market strategies.
Research Coverage
The PIM market revenue is primarily classified into revenues from solutions and services. Solutions’ revenue is associated with multi-domain and single-domain, PIM tools, and software. Services’ revenue is associated with various consulting and implementation, training, and support and maintenance services. The market is also segmented on the basis of deployment types, organization size, industry verticals, and regions.
Key benefits of the report
The report would help the market leaders/new entrants in this market with the information on the closest approximations of the revenue numbers for the overall PIM market and its sub segments. It would help stakeholders understand the competitive landscape and gain insights to better position their businesses and plan suitable go-to-market strategies. It would also help stakeholders understand the pulse of the market and provide them with information on the key market drivers, restraints, challenges, and opportunities.

Pimcore Receives $3.5M in Series A Funding From German Auctus Capital
Pimcore, the open-source platform for data and customer experience management, has closed $3.5 million in Series A funding. Led by German Auctus Capital, the investment will support the Austrian tech startup’s U.S. expansion and continued development of disruptive content and commerce capabilities for product and service enterprises.
Pimcore is an open-source software platform for managing digital data and customer experiences for any channel, device, or industry. It is the only platform integrating out-of-the-box product information management, content management, data asset management and e-commerce functionalities, boosting time-to-market while remaining compatible with any IT infrastructure or system architecture. As the only open-source platform of its kind, Pimcore provides a powerful alternative to expensive and inflexible data platforms, such as SAP or Informatica.
“We’ve identified an incredible need for more flexible and connected data solutions for global enterprises, and strongly believe control over intellectual property and software belongs in the hands of our customers. That’s why we’ve developed our technology to be completely free of license cost,” said Dietmar Rietsch, CEO of Pimcore. “Our open-source model is unprecedented among data management and experience providers, and we’re excited to use this funding to supercharge those capabilities for enterprises around the world.”
The digital asset management and product information management market segments are positioned to experience tremendous expansion, expected to grow 18 percent and 25 percent respectively by 2021. This funding round will enable Pimcore to capitalize on this market opportunity and disrupt the traditionally legacy-driven data and experience management industries through enhanced open-source capabilities, as well as new subscription and professional services offerings.
This funding comes on the heels of Pimcore’s recent inclusion in the 2018 Gartner Cool Vendor report, where it was recognized for its exceptional ability to deploy an open-source ecosystem that can help consolidate digital assets and product information, and provide customer experience management, in addition to commerce capabilities. Its innovative platform has experienced significant growth since being founded in 2013, serving more than 82,000 companies across 56 countries, including global enterprises such as Audi, Burger King, Continental and Intersport. The Pimcore ecosystem is supported by a global network of more than 90 implementation and consulting partners.
Another key driver of Pimcore’s development is the acquisition of U.S.-based Pimcore Global Services and its whole outsourcing infrastructure in Delhi. “We can deliver outstanding Pimcore solutions and services on a global scale for competitive rates. This operating model, in combination with the Pimcore open-source philosophy, is a clear game-changer in the digital platform market segment,” added Shashin Shah, head of Pimcore Global Services.
“All innovation in recent years in areas such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence have happened in open-source ecosystems. It has become the primary engine of innovation all around the world,” furthered Rietsch. “We’re looking forward to extending these capabilities to current and future customers in 2019 and beyond.”
