Ingrid is soft-spoken and timid. She can be shy, but once she feels comfortable, she loves to talk! She seems like she would be the polar opposite of Minty, but she’s just as into horror, spooky things, and alternative culture. She just also really likes cutesy things and romance movies.

Most of her tattoos are also very easy to hide with clothing, making her appear more conservative than she actually is. While she's gained respect in the tattoo community, she does still stick out like a sore thumb among her own.

She’s a pushover and she lacks assertiveness. While she’ll always come through in a clutch, she is the easiest to scare. She must overcome her intense fears to help Minty go toe-to-toe with O'Malley the Smiling Demon. She's the type of person who forces herself to power through her terror. Bex is a little weird. You have to be a little weird when you’re raised in a white trash family in the middle of nowhere. Bex is intelligent, but flippant. Not very many things upset her, but when they do anger her, she goes from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. She can typically diffuse tense situations simply by a lack of reaction or by telling a joke. She generally keeps a cool head, so much so it seems like she doesn’t care. In reality, she’s tired. She’s seen some shit and she is over it.

She's friendly yet apathetic to most people when she meets them at first. She doesn't hate a lot of people either. Someone would really have to press her buttons or give her a reason to hate them. She struggles to trust people on a deeper level, yet she continues to seek out connection with others. Under all her bluster, she has a good heart. She's just used to taking care of herself with little to no help from anybody else.

Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt, 125 E Anaheim St., Unit l, Wilmington, CA 90744

Fro-yo girl here. This was my first time in Wilmington, which is near the Port of Los Angeles. Interesting area, somewhat scary. The violent crime rate (murder, assault) is twice the national average. Tutti Frutti is in a strip mall with Tommy’s and the parking lot is confusing. You can’t enter it one way and part of it is only for Tommy’s.

Tutti Frutti has been open for a 11 years and it’s the only froyo shop in Wilmington. When I walked inside, relieved to be indoors, a strong odor hit me. It didn’t smell appetizing. It smelled like dried fish? The employee must have been having lunch in the back.

The shop looked cute and clean – there was a wall set up for Instagram photos and a cute neon sign that said Hella Open. There are 12 self-serve froyo flavors a day, toppings (canned and fresh fruit, nuts, cereal, lots of candy, coconut, cookies, cheesecake, popping boba, cookie dough, mochi, jellies, Mexican candies) and sauces for $0.60/oz. From the signs, they serve Tutti Frutti yogurt, Dannon YoCream and Dole. I noticed most of the fresh fruit looked unripe.

Here's Sugar Kookie in the World Map of isle 4 and the spot that she is in, Chef Saltbaker did ask her to keep an eye on the protagonists but to stay away from the bosses in fear of her getting hurt while to keep her blissfully unaware of his plan like the others. Fish, wings and tings

I remember times when a visit to Brixton would set the heart racing.

No, it wasn’t that the food would be sure to liven up the day but perhaps the chase back to the train station by that mugger with the machete would get the blood pumping.

Then again, like many of the places in London that I may have visited as a fresh faced university student, things are not so scary anymore.  Of course, you could just say that more money leads to people behaving a bit better as Brixton has definitely cleaned up since those days. 

Cod fish fritters.  Tasteful and interesting.  I would not have expected mashed up fish to taste this good.  Then again, when I was young I used to love fish fingers, although I’m not sure how much “fish” was in those “fingers”. 

Plantain.  These sadly did not live up to the plantains I had at Ikoyi. These were sadly oily and not really that good.

Prawn roti with string beans, pumpkin, chickpeas, potatoes and kuchela.  Rotis were an interesting accompaniment to this and were good for mopping up the sauce.  The prawns were a touch overcooked though and a bit rubbery for that.

Jerk chicken with tamarind bbq sauce, rice and peas, coleslaw and pineapple and mango chutney.  Tasty.  Interesting mix of flavours with the tart pineapple/mango chutney on top.  The fulsome taste of the chicken worked well with the sharp flavours.

Curried mutton with rice and peas, coleslaw, pineapple and mango chutney.  Mutton, the mysterious meat, was in this case sheep meat as my companion speculated on what it actually was.  In some cases, it could be sheep, lamb or goat.  Seems that no one knows.  Two different species given such fanciful names.  Looks like someone had a bit too much time on their hands.

I was hoping for a bit of excitement in Brixton as my life in lockdown has been rather boring.  Living dangerously, I thought to try and spice up my life in Brixton.  Unfortunately, there was no spiciness in the prawn, no spark in the curries and the chicken was rather ordinary.  Then again, at least I didn’t feel the looming menace of potential physical robbery, so there is much to be thankful for that.  However, GBP20 for this is a bit rich.  Perhaps this is a sign of gentrification, a more civilized type of theft. 

In the end, I felt a bit like the mannequin head in the lower left, rather morose.

  A quiet eating 6.5/10.

Lunch (2 course) was GBP 20 excluding drinks and service.

Yogurtland, 255 E Compton Blvd., Compton, CA 90220

Fro-yo girl here. Dorothy, we’re not in Kansas anymore…went to this Yogurtland in Compton for the first time and there was a homeless man sitting right in front of the shop yelling (at himself?). It was a little scary but I felt safe once I stepped inside.

This location opened in a strip mall in late 2015. Parking was easy to find. They offer 16 self-serve froyo flavors a day and the usual Yogurtland toppings for 59 cents an ounce. It’s more expensive than average for Yogurtland and it’s in Compton. Hmm. One of the machines wasn’t being used so they only had 14 flavors available. Due to COVID-19, it’s currently full service.

They didn’t have chocolate shell but they did have whipped cream. Toppings included nuts, fruit, sprinkles, fruit purees, sauces, cookies, cereal, popping boba, cookie dough, brownies, cheesecake, yogurt chips, chocolate chips, mochi, etc.

Froyo flavors of the day:

The date TMNT

A week had passed and you were supper excited for your date with your turtle. But you were wondering how he was feeling.

Leonardo

Leo was super nervous to go out with you. He wouldn't let it show though. He rubbed his neck awkwardly as he tried to straighten himself up. He had ordered (your favorite food) and was waiting patiently in the kitchen which he had cleaned and cleared out his brothers, making sure there were no interruptions. You came skipping into the lair, dressed up in a knee length sky blue dress and white combat boots as you gasped when you saw three lit candles and a stammering Leo who was rubbing his burnt fingers from trying to heat the food in a microwave. You giggled at the sight and hugged him.

"This is great, Leo but you didn't have to go through so much trouble for this." you told him but he smiled down at you, pushing a strand of hair out of your eye.

"I wanted to," he said blushing a crimson red. "You deserve it." This made you turn fifty shades of red as you both sat down, eating the slightly burn food and giggled at his jokes that he attempted to make. They were corny sure, but you liked them nonetheless. You had a great night. After you finished, he walked you home but stopped on your roof, looking up at the stars.

"Wow." you breathed. "I never really looked at them before." you said.

You didn't notice Leo looking at you with an admirable smile. "Yeah."

Sure, you were up till 2 am talking with Leo and watching the stars on your roof afterwards and yous slept till late afternoon the next day. But it was worth it.

Raphael Raph was calm and collected but really was just agitated with himself as he pondered on the date with you. You were getting ready, knowing you two were going to watch a a horror movie called The Conjuring at your place. You were in your bedroom, getting ready by wearing a red t shirt and black leggings with different colored green socks as you tried to brush your hair into a braid or a ponytail, trying to get ready before Raph showed up.

You heard a knock on your window making you jump and fall backwards off your chair. You saw Raphael smirking in the window as you quickly staggered towards him, opening the latch and letting him in.

"You alright shortstack?" he asked amused and you stuck your tongue out at him.  "Very funny." you snapped playfully as you both chuckled.

"You're parents not home?" he asked as he looked around your room. You shook your head, your parents were both working and wouldn't be home till tomorrow. You both went towards the living room, each taking a spacious side of the couch, not touching each other at all which made it quite uncomfortable for you two. Raph seemed fine by t but inside he was panicking. It took him a miracle just to ask you out but now that he was on a date with you made him lose his mind. What if you didn't like him? You were halfway through the movie when it showed a scary scene which made you jump, your hand landing on Raph's arm which made you both blush. He quickly grabbed your hand which made you shriek in surprise, thinking it was a monster but you slowly smile when you saw Raph still keeping his eye on the TV. You giggled and cuddled up next to him which made him smirk.

"Scardy cat." he teased. "Shut up." you mumbled.

Donatello

Donnie was the person to get nervous over everything, going on a date with you made him even more nervous. What was he going to do? What was he going to wear? Was he going to kiss you on the first date? What if you didn't like him that way? Questions were running through his mind as he set up the telescope in his lab, he had found an opening into the sky near his experiments and set up the equipment and boxes of pop tarts on a table.

"Donnie?" you called as you came into his lab, wearing a purple sweater and white jeans with your favorite boots. You saw Donnie knock over a few things with his shell, making him stutter and stammer as he tried to lead you towards his surprise.

"What are we doing?" you giggled as he held your hand, making the both of your blush uncontrollably.

"Well, I uh.. I found something about a comet that goes every few hundred years and thought that we could watch it together." he said making you smile.

He snorted his adorable laugh as you hugged him. "That's really thoughtful Don." you said as you both sat beside each other on a blanket, nibbling on some snacks, Donnie preferably liked the pop tarts. You sighed blissfully and rested you head on Donnie's shoulder making him turn a deep shade of pink. Then you both saw the comet, watching the marble shot through the sky beautifully as you both looked at each other, smiling.

"I really had a good time." You said which made Donatello grin. "Me too." Michelangelo "Mikey?" You called into the lair as you heard running footsteps and was tackled by the huge mutant.

"Angelcakes!" he screamed making him earn a whack on the head by an angry Raphael. "You're late! Come on! Come on!" he said as you giggled, letting him drag you into the kitchen. "We're going to make our own pizzas!" he exclaimed as you laughed at his excitement. He took you into the kitchen, showing you the ingredients he had picked out. Gummy bears, gummy worms, skittles, chocolates, popcorn, pepperoni, pineapple, sliced ham, Nutella, cheese, and all other toppings that were sadly unnamed that Mikey had already begun digging into.

"Wow." you breathed as you saw the amount space you had for making whatever pizza you wanted. You both dug in, Mikey making a Nutella and spicy gummy worms pizza with extra skittles and you stuck to making (a whatever you decided pizza).

You threw some gummy bears at Mikey's head as he tried to eat some of your ingredients. "Stop Mikey!" you laughed as you were playing tug of war with the mutant turtle as he had a spicy worm in his mouth.

You finished your pizzas, eating and laughing spitting them out since it was definitely not the right combination. "Wanna make a triple cheese pizza?" he asked as you nodded, spitting out the gummy bear that was buried under cheese.

"Yeah, that might be a good idea."

Hey doll hey!!! How are you today? Great I hope. I woke up around 8:30 AM and tried to get my makeup done but I had to rest a ton today… I was up most of the night coughing and vomiting because I was coughing so much. It left me feeling super weak today so because of all of my rest stops I didn’t get my makeup finished until 5:30 PM …. I wanted to give up so bad but I enjoy doing my Face of the Day posts…. so I pushed through the fatigue. I wanted to do a smokey purple look today…. it’s not the best it could be because of how tired I feel and because stopping and starting makeup tends to through me off my game …. but none the less I got the look completed…. so let’s jump into the scent and Face of the Day ….

  Davidoff  Cool Water. I purchased this one last year when I got nostalgic for my college scent. I purchased it through Amazon for $30 for a 3.4 fluid ounce bottle. The notes are: Ozonic Scents (meaning it has an aquatic scent), Citrus, Pineapple, Black Currant, Honeydew Melon, Lotus Blossom, Water Lily, May Rose, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Orris (the root of the Iris flower), Vetiver, Sandalwood, Peach, and Mulberry. The result is just heavenly! It truly has an aquatic scent to it that is a bit sweet and a bit musky. This is a great causal day perfume. I fall in love all over again with this scent every time I wear it. 

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Flower Beauty In Your Prime Pore-Minimizing Primer ($10.99 at Ulta) and blurred my pores using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Sephora). For my foundation today I used a combo of 5 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Sephora) and 10 pumps of NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ($49 at Sephora) in the shade Light 5 Fiji. I lightly color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target and on the Pixi Beauty website) in the shade Brightening Peach. I used 3 dots under each eye of Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer (discontinued) in the shade R22. I set my full face using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder () in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Benefit Hoola Bronzer from my Babe on Board (no longer available was a limited edition product) face palette. For touch up powder today I am using Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting the Tone Finishing Powder ($14.99 at Target) in the shade Light.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop palette I created that I hauled 2 days ago and 2 shades from the other ColourPop palette I created. For my first transition shade I used the color Wake Up Call (a warm sand matte). For my second transition shade I used a combo of Wake Up Call (a warm sand matte) and Feathered (a rich chocolate brown matte). On the inner 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Pretty Cruel (a berry mauve with gold flecks sequin). On the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and also the outer v I used the shade Sleeper (a matte eggplant pressed pigment). I used the more of the shade Pretty Cruel on the lower lash line to create a drop shadow and than went in with more of the shade Sleeper to deepen the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using a layered combo of the shade Earthshine (a pinky lavender with a blue duochrome flip metallic) and Liar Liar (a pale pink metallic). I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 at Ulta) in the shade 05 Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte sides and set the brow line using the shade Hear Me Out (a white peach matte). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade is only available in the Lippie Box Vault on their website) in the shade THB (deep violet). I popped on a pair of Profusion Beauty 3D Faux Mink Lashes ($7 for pack of 5 on their website) in the style Big Tease and coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                                My blush today is Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Blushing Bride (a rosey pink matte). I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, center of my chin, and high points of the brows using Dandelion Twinkle from the Benefit Babe on Board Palette (no longer available was a limited edition product). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Another Round (a rosey nude) and filled in the lips using ColourPop Creme Lux Lipstick (shade discontinued) in the shade Uno Mas (a medium coral demi matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                   So today our county goes on lock down at 11 PM … for 2 weeks… but it may be extended further than that if extra time is needed. I have never been in a lock down situation before…. it’s pretty scary to know that things have gotten so bad and people have not done what they were asked that the Government has to step in and essentially put us all on a time out. I hope and pray that this thing gets resolved quickly that we will not have many months (as so people say could happen) of battling this virus. My anxiety disorder is on high alert because of the state of the planet right now. I fear what will happen next…. what will happen if the Governments can not get a handle on this virus.
